Kerry Picket: Sources Say Christopher Wray is Promoting Regime Loyalists in the FBI to Thwart Trump's Efforts to Reform the Criminal Organization

The Bee:

mcdonaldsarrestsmoreshooters.jpg

Christopher Wray is promoting Deep Staters and Regime Loyalists with the idea that this will stop Trump from firing them or putting better people into their positions.

Quoting Kerry Picket at the Washington Times:

Sources within the bureau said Mr. Wray has begun promoting employees among the senior executive service, those who serve within the bureau's leadership. These sources described this as an effort to burrow establishment figures deeper within the FBI.

Sources said a plan is being formulated to delay the new FBI director's entry into the agency for three to four months.

Given the FBI's tense history with Mr. Trump since the 2016 presidential campaign, such a strategy is risky.

Paul Sperry reminds us of the sort of people the FBI thinks are the best and brightest:

5 This makes no sense. SES (Senior Executive Service) can be reassigned literally anywhere in the agency they were hired into with, I think it's 120 notice (might be 180.) So you notice them and then send them to an FBI office in Guam or someplace.

10 Willowed from the previous thread, but not much of a thread jack.

310 One unanswered question I saw from Jan 6 was, how did the main door of the Capitol Building get opened? (The brass and glass door.)

Reportedly, it is controlled by a remote-operated magnetic lock. (Which makes sense - doesn't mean it is true.)

If that door WAS opened by Capitol Police (or staff), then a whole bunch of the narrative is BS!

Any Morons have any more info on my topic above?

SES can absolutely be reassigned anywhere, the theory being they are "managers" and with 120 day notice, can be assigned to manage an office on a small Aleutian Alaskan island. An agency doesn't have to keep them in the slot Wray sticks them in.

Wait until you find out what the Treasury Department was using FINCEN for and obtaining loads of financial information about their political enemies.

Basically from an outdated 70's era Supreme Court ruling, Smith v. Maryland, allows the police to get your records of transactions, etc. via the Third party doctrine. The original decision dealt with ATT billing records of who was called and duration. Scotus found this was not protected by a reasonable expectation of privacy so de minimus subpoena to the phone company was all that was all the due process allowed. Since you share billing records with the phone company, the idea of third party is that you cannot stop the third party (the phone company) from disclosing your information. That has been grossly extended to the banking industry among others.

He most certainly can do that. What would be ideal for him to do is suspend the security clearances for review of anyone at the SES level or GS-12 and above and do it very publicly.

That will not stop the actual criminal investigation stuff but it will shut down the senior level access to every system at the fib until they are approved again.

120 The irony here is that they've taught Trump how to be even more ruthless than they were, and their stupid lawfare actually created case law for what he's about to do.

Under the old rules, incoming administrations turned a blind eye to people burrowing in because their people would do it, too. But now, it's 100% will to power 100% of the time.

Honestly, I expect a bunch of these people to offer testimony in exchange for an administrative position and the ability to retire on time. Trump would be smart to accept it, too.

For those craving vengeance, let us turn once again to the wisdom of Francisco Franco. In the early months of the war, both sides regarded the others as traitors, and executing prisoners was common. But Franco was shrewd enough to recognize that many of these troops would enlist in his armies to avoid going to a camp. As a result, he actually added to his end strength in the northern campaign of 1937. There's a book about it...

These people merely pointed out IN A FACEBOOK COMMENT that jihadsts are spreading hate online -- and the comment itself is deemed a criminal offense, and the police eventually come to arrest you for "hate speech" (often YEARS after the "crime").

One I saw last night showed two cops arresting an old guy as he recorded the arrest on his iPhone, and they wouldn't even explain what he had done wrong. Finally, he pestered them enough that they listed out his "crime," which entailed a single Facebook comment two years previous. The old guy then said, dripping with sarcasm, "Oh, so it's a Facebook crime, is it?" as they clapped the handcuffs on him.

It would be better to move them to offices set up on all the Indian reservations. They can add into their duties the detection and investigation of crimes on the Res.
there is no doubt enough room to set up those temporary offices and housing until something more permanent can be arranged. The Forest Service has good contractors who can set up a fire camp in a week, for example.

He might not be able to "abolish" certain departments or "fire" certain objectionable departments, but he could certainly *close* them. The current behavior of the powers in control of Britain have passed beyond any fundamental basis of sanity. Obviously, there's always going to be some socialism or identity politics. But, they've gone beyond the pale without obvious cause. It's almost like there is extortion at work, or perhaps even a bigger threat.

I've often wondered how Middle Eastern Theocracies would behave if they ever got their hands on a suitcase nuke. I tend to think they would plant it in a western nation, and then proceed to do as they please while dictating to said western nation what was expected of them. Far fetched, but it certainly would explain some things.

=====
Something like catastrophic 'winning' of two world wars and impoverishing their people is why. We rebuilt Japan and Germany and France/Italy to some extent via the Marshall Plan. No such treatment was given the UK.

Those World Wars and the total collectivization needed to survive with Big Gubmint also had its sting. Didn't help that Conservatives were effectively tarred with appeasement to Hitler and the decline on financial conditions of the average Brit worker.

End up long enough under rationing, extreme war time government control of the economy and social life, you end up being socialist in nature.

Maggie tried her best to turn the tide but the rank and file Tories, just like most GOP critters in Congress of years past, loved them some big gubmint. At least the Tories wanted to control it to do nothing much but the GOP did not even want to do that at the end because it interfered with generational wealth accumulation by selling their vote in the Senate and insider trading in the House.

I read a very detailed and great article a couple of months back that made that case. It used the public art and public funding to show how ridiculously "tolerant" (read: obscene and obsessed with weird sex) much of what shows up in the public square is in the UK now, and that it amounts to open mockery of anything they might have once thought as traditional. The UK as we once thought of it is gone.
