I just took care of 5 cats. Two kittens at my neighbors in a sunroom. Cool in there but they have a box with 2 large plush towels.

Trumpy and Snowflake are inside. Their mother Starry is outside in a very nicely built cat house. I put big plush towels in there and some food. She chose to be an outside cat so.....

I have water out there. Should I bring it in before it freezes?

I am told to get a stick mag to begin with since it is a pain to load thos 50 and 100 round drums

water is important, if you are concerned you can get something like a pipe heater like you put on your water pipes, or you can find an electric seed starting mat. You might consider one of those for the outside cat bed, too.

I moved the bed against the wall for more leg room. I turned around and Sophie is where the bed used to be, looking at me, and meowing. Just a calm but firm 'meow. meow. meow.'. Gaaaahhhhh! I had (past tense on ourpose) a very nice samsung galaxy tablet ~$800 that i killed. My drunk a$$ knocked it into the tub. Screen was off/locked, but when I grabbed it, it thought I wanted to unlock it and turned on the screen. Ten pound bag of rice and 60 days later...I had vertical lines. Took it to a pro for screen replacement. No can do. The vertical lines are from capacitors in the brain box of the tablet shorting out and becoming unable to drive the screen. Now I use a crappy olde tablet that I got for $250 five years ago. Slower than the maple syrup CBD puts on his French toast in January.

Sincerely hope you don't have the same problem.

Lesson learned...don't soak in the hot tub and read books on the Kindle app. Especially with an expensive ass tablet.

Hey NST, I saw your post about the clinic yesterday. I'm so sorry for you and your husband - that was garbage behavior. Clean what you can, one thing at a time per day. Or do like I did today- Panda sweep (knock everything out of the way and roll around on the ground. It was...freeing. That panda knows some stuff.)

Sadly no. It's an insulated cat house though. And I put a ton of thick towels there. I had one days notice.

Starry was one of the first two cats I ever watched. She's fixed now. But the kittens.

I'm slightly over 29, so it's not surprising. I'm working at doing more slowly. From where I was a couple of years ago, it's a striking difference. I'll definitely keep you and yours in my prayers as well. You were the kind soul who recommened UHaul for moving. We used them and were thrilled. One of the best moves out of the twenty or so we've done, and far less broken!!

Interesting tidbit, if you use the more or less standard for converting dog years to human years, both Conor and I were the same age last year, so we had a great birthday party. He is still pretty feisty and has pretty much figured out how to push my buttons.

A former boss of mine said his hip replacement was pretty straightforward but very beneficial and he was very glad he had done it! So prayers up for Mr Moki!

114 Ah, Napoli, where pizza was invented. The fishing boats would come home just before dawn, after a night's catch, the fishermen tired, cold and hungry. A quick to cook meal was in order: a flat bread, dabbed with olive oil, smothered with crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano or basil, sprinkled with mozzarella chunks and possibly bits of anchovies from the catch. Wood-fired oven and pizza was for breakfast. This was a poor man's meal but I have made it richer than what the original probably was.
The simplest I have had straight out of a bakery is just the dough, wet with olive oil, salt and pepper. Hot. As a preteen Mom would wake us up with this fragrant and tasty snack - it meant she had gotten up before light and gone to the bakery. Dad was back in East Africa and we were to follow later.

I believe we have pizza for dinner. Little Cesar's.

Rented a truck in Mountain View, CA for a move to Monterey, CA. About 100 miles one way. paid for a weekend. On Friday we pick up the truck in the late afternoon and drive home. Saturday we pack it for trip #1 to Monterey. Sunday, in Monterey it won't start. So we call U-Haul. The basically tell us, "tough shit" it's the weekend. I call AAA and they're like... you want us to do what?

Truck is supposed to be back in Mountain View Sunday afternoon, but it's dead on the street. I've got another load to move. So we get some neighbors who we've never met before to help jump the piece of shit.

Do another run to Mountain View. It's now late Sunday and we're done unloading. Truck won't start again. Can't return it Sunday.

Monday the Monterey police show up because the U-Haul joint in Mountain View reported it stolen. Hilarity ensues. Truck is restarted again and returned to U-Haul. Left in parking lot blocking everything. And... it won't start. Stiffed U-Haul for the $$. Never heard another word.

I'm immunocompromized due to my transplant kidney. They didn't want to operate, as that would be hard on me, so tried strong antibiotics and antifungal, but scan before I was to go home showed intestine sticking to the fistula, possible including my left ureter. Surgery was scheduled Monday, but got too late. Had surgery Tuesday Instead. Last two days. Trying to get intestine to wake up, which it finally did tonight.

All this was after coming in for UTI, then diverticulitis, the for the abscess, then the last two times for sepsis. I've been in the hospital more the last 45 days than out, and this last "visit" started Dec 1st.

Tehran has been attacking Israel with drones for quite some time.

This could be nothing. But our response has been telling. Basically, it's our federal government scratching their balls and saying "I have no idea what's going on".

I'm not real concerned with these particular drones but we sure do look weak when we claim to have no idea what's going on. That concerns me.

Growing up elsewhere in the world, I never got that cartoon strip. Gridiron football (handball?) was alien - why is someone even holding the ball for a kickoff? We were all familiar with Hollywood life but high school appeared so undisciplined. Why are the students not wearing uniforms as they do almost everywhere else in the world? They are too friendly and cheeky to the teachers.
