He broke his back on a hike. Got surgery, it was expensive, it didn't work perfectly. Started allegedly taking psychedelics to treat his chronic pain, lost his mind, decided health insurers are to blame.

Note well that he is a rich bitch princeling who attended a $40,000 per year private school, and whose parents are heirs to a resort fortune. His brother is a "top doctor."

None of his misfortune had anything to do with insurance.


Supposedly the back injury left him unable to have sex.

Let me guess. The surgery technique the insurance company approved payment for is well tested and often produces good results. But there's an experimental treatment out of Finland or something that sometimes produces better results. The eeeeeeeevil insurance company approved the six figure, battle tested plan, but rich bitch wanted the platinum standard, bleeding edge technique.

Because things didn't go perfectly, he blames the insurance company for not approving the platinum plan option. What he doesn't actually know, however, is whether the platinum option would have fixed everything.

I know, because I wasn't quite pro-Trump at that time and I saw a lot of people bagging on Trump voters and saying things like he could kill somebody in broad daylight and you'd still vote for him.

I mean I had significant medical expenses like surgeries and hospital stays and they paid everything. I had a few thousand dollars of family out of pocket minimum and after that they paid (again… sorry to be redundant): everything.

I mean I had significant medical expenses like surgeries and hospital stays and they paid everything. My father was denied on Medicare, but the thing is that the hospital did not tell us the procedure was necessary because if they had, they would have been on the hook to pay. The industry wide standard rejection rate for claims is 16%. UHC rejection rate is 32%. However on the positive side, the industry wide rejection rate for premium payments is 0.000%.

By the way, if the Hospital bill is $60,000, Insurance companies pay $10,000. If your claim is rejected, you are on the hook for the whole $60,000. That is why hospitals don't squawk about claim rejections.

What's seldom considered on a lot of these back claims (a significant number of which are embellished to remain out of work) is that the medications prescribed are slowly (and sometimes not so slowly) destroying the person's liver in an expedited fashion.

A good place to start would probably be the Bureau of Justice Statistics National Prison Rape Statistics Program. Imperfect as it is bound to be, it's probably a lot more sensible to credit that than to suddenly start believing the kinds of violent offenders who also tend to insist they are innocent of the charges that landed them in prison.

319 As someone with fairly severe back pain for years due to spinal problems in multiple areas and aggravated with psoriatic arthritis, quite a few people discussing it have little to no idea about it other than what they have observed or read.

You can live with fairly severe back pain from spinal degeneration and without much in medications beyond NSAIDs but the result is chronic sleep loss. When you move during sleep to a new position, you wake up a bit, and so on throughout the night.

Nerve pain, however, is a horse of a different color. Recently had another surgery to relieve trapped nerves which cycle between tingling, numbness, and then burning pain for minutes before either cycling again or retreating for a bit.

Spinal pain and nerve pain together is pretty horrific and if the nerve pain source is not addressed quickly (if it can be by surgery), you lose nerve function.

Often results in a third type of misery, fibromyalgia which is where the nerve system has basically rewired itself into sensation equals pain in a similar way that people that have had nerves severed (limbs or surgery) get phantom feelings sometimes for years.
