Kerry Picket: Wray Wants to Avoid Being Fired by Trump, Plans to Resign Before the Inauguration
FBI Director Christopher A. Wray plans to resign on or before Inauguration Day, The Washington Times has learned. Mr. Wray is calling it quits because he doesn't want to get fired by President-elect Donald Trump, according to sources inside the bureau who are familiar with the director's thinking. "He's going to be gone at the inauguration. On or before the inauguration," a source said.The Deputy Director, Paul Abbate, had planned to stay on and appoint an acting director of the FBI until Trump's nominee was confirmed. However, Grassley just published a blistering letter stating he has no confidence in Wray, and no confidence in Abbate, and Abbate should resign too. Apparently Abbate is planning to resign.
Mr. Grassley's letter changed Mr. Abbate's plans, and he is now looking for an alternate acting deputy director to appoint.Former chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and RussiaGate Hoax Debunker Devin Nunes says he's worked with Kash Patel and thinks Patel is the right pick for cleaning up the FBI.
So the DOJ and FBI spied on Kash Patel because he was rolling up their crime network. I'm sure he won't take that personally or anything, though.

Back then, Kash was an outstanding sleuth and a bulldog investigator who drew on his own experience as a DOJ prosecutor to figure out what misdeeds these corrupt officials were committing. To get the evidence, we had to overcome their ceaseless stonewalling, over-classification of documents, and countless other tricks and maneuvers they employed to bury the truth. Fake news reporters and "resistance" bureaucrats understood the evidence we found undermined their hoax narrative, so they launched an all-out jihad against Kash, with anonymous sources accusing him of committing every conceivable atrocity known to man. The attacks on Kash went beyond these information warfare operations--in a face-to-face meeting with us, top DOJ officials, who apparently didn't appreciate their dirty laundry being aired, threatened to subpoena Kash's communications. What we only found out years later was that they had already seized Kash's emails, along with those of other congressional staffers investigating the collusion hoax, including staffers for Sen. If you want an FBI director who will go along to get along, you're better off with someone else. If you want a director who will follow the Constitution and transform the bureau into an impartial, trustworthy law enforcement agency that zealously goes after criminals instead of political targets, then Kash is, bar none, the right man for the job.
The FBI Director does not have a “10 year term,” but a 10 year limit. The Director serves at the pleasure of the President and can be removed for any reason or no reason at all.

I like DeSantis right where he is. He has been a foundation pier in holding the conservative components in the GOP in place while the progressive hurricane swept the nation. An essential base populist. We absolutely must retain those at the State level.
Let him finish his term in FL and go from there. I'm thinking the US will have better standing in a couple of years and DeSantis can move in to a stronger, different seat.

She said that they all thought that they were the majority, and that their critics were a tiny minority of far right cranks. Now she realizes that while everyone is kind of in a bubble, they don't know how big their bubble is, and that there are huge numbers of their critics. That the MAGA movement is not a splinter of radicals, its mainstream.
I think that is sinking in on the left. And in businesses. And in entertainment. How much effect that will have we'll see but companies like Wal*Mart dumped their entire DEI department.

I believe the term "adultery" refers specifically to the breaking of the marriage vow. So, I guess if two unmarried people sleep with each other, it could be described as a "non-adulterous affair."
Except that, people usually don't use the word "affair" to refer to the sexual activities of two unmarried people. They're "hooking up," "shacking up," "sleeping with each other," etc.
Maybe if you cheat on your boyfriend or girlfriend that could be described as a "non-adulterous affair?"

The issue with the GOP is that it's been purchased by large donors who make it a necessity to follow big dollar donors to get re-elected. This extended to control of the RNC so that any challengers who wouldn't bend to the will of the donors got cut out of the process.
Trump offers a potent political force that can overcome the donor influence to some degree, but ultimately the underlying issue is still there. The donors are still buying Senators with promises of re-election, and that class will outlive Trump.

From my understanding, she's stepping back from all the pointless, decorative First Lady duties she felt forced to do the last time, and will reevaluate and redefine what the role looks like for her. Barron is at NYU, she will stay close by in NYC at Trump Tower. And will come to DC only when necessary. But she respects the role, so she will do the duties as FLOTUS that are important and more than window dressing.
Which is fine by me! Hillary wanted to be Vice Pres as FLOTUS, and I think made the role more outsized than it was before. I'm excited to see what FLOTUS for Melania looks like. I hope it shakes things up.

Fulton County Superior Court has issued a default judgment against District Attorney Fani Willis for refusing to turn over records that could document her collusion with the J6 committee and Special Counsel Jack Smith.
The court order states: "By finding the Defendant in default, the Court has effectively declared that she violated the ORA [Open Records Act]. The Court further ORDERS the Defendant to conduct a thorough search of her records for responsive materials within five business days of this Order's entry."
"Within the same five-day period, the Defendant is ORDERED to provide the Plaintiff with copies of all responsive records that are not legally exempt or excepted from disclosure. If the Defendant must or chooses to withhold any portion of a requested record, she is instructed to adhere to the procedures outlined in the ORA."
However, the Fulton County D.A. claims that such records don't exist, potentially putting her at legal risk of perjury and obstruction of justice.

I need some knowledge put to me. How essential are these roles really, and how important is it that the ambassador speaks the language, understands the customs, maybe has some cultural background. Because for the dems, it seemed like they were largely just plum gifts to high ranking donors, no qualifications necessary.
I still found Obama's sending Jon Huntsman Jr. to China to be a head scratcher. Apparently his lauded knowledge of the Chinese language was mid at best. But it just confirmed that he was fully entrenched an establishment government leech. Donkey or elephant, it was all the same.

There's footage of Trump at a party telling the story of Gen Milley informing Trump it would be cheaper to leave all that equipment over there than to bring it back. This is the same Milley who bragged about telling China he would disobey direct orders to act against them.
I'm fairly confident Milley and others always planned to give that equipment to our enemies.
