Proof Joe Rogan is a fuckwitt.
Rogan referenced complaints on the left that they need their "own Joe Rogan" on Tuesday. "I think these ‘Call Her Daddy’ shows and all these different shows that [Harris] went on — I mean I'm sure they had an impact, but I think that in the future… I'm sure they're scrambling to try to create their own version of this show," Rogan said. "This is one thing that keeps coming up like, ‘We need our own Joe Rogan,’ right? But they had me, I was on their side!" Posted by: Erebus- ex-Killer Whale at November 28, 2024 04:16 AM (elaR+) 17

So up at 0400 to start the smoker.
Turkey brined under ice since last night, and into the smoker at 0500 for a projected 1300-1330 finish. About 11 people, including our former neighbor, a LEA/Navy Reservist on full time duty right now and our other neighbors, a Navy family at the Nuclear Power Training Command down the road from here. What am I thankful for this year?
PDT's win, of course, and the hopeful feeling I'm having and that I suspect is all over the country. My good health so far, and Miss Linda's. The companionship of all of you in Ace's Horde. Being employed (for a while longer, at least!) at a good-paying, low-stress job. Speaking of the face diaper hoax: When I was at Home Depot yesterday, a clerk came over to me. Whatever she was saying was practically incomprehensible with the black plastic mask she had over her nose and mouth. I told her, "I can't understand you with that thing on your face." She burbled something about ". . . trying to help you . . ." I turned away and found a clerk with his actual face showing instead.
From now on, if someone is wearing that, they are getting, "I can't understand you," and if I get snippy attitude (as, being white, I often do here from even unmasked "workers"), I'm adding, "If I were your boss, I'd make you take that thing off, or you'd be fired." I've not yet come to the point of laughing and pointing, but I'm heading that way. Posted by: lizabth Garmin watches are excellent and the tracking software (phone / pc) is compressive. I started with a VivoActive 3 and it was helpful when tracking exercise, running and steps. My current one is an Epix Gen 2 I picked up on a huge discount when Garmin consolidated some product lines into one. It is overkill but the 16 days of battery life alone are worth having it. If I didn't end up with this one I would have bought the Venu 3. If you decide to kept it will keep you entertained for quite a long time. Also a reminder if you too are getting snow/slush:
EVERYONE has forgotten how to drive instinctively in this stuff, (including you to a degree.) - Increase your following distance - Apply brakes and acceleration softer than you do on dry pavement - Drive the conditions not the forecast - When your traffic signal in front of you goes green, assume someone else in the cross roads is going to panic-skid right into the intersection. (Give a couple of extra seconds to verify that everyone else is under control before you proceed into the intersection.) - Give yourself extra time to get where you're going! - If you start to lose control of your vehicle in slippery road conditions, LET OFF ON THE GAS. (If you were using cruise control, cancel it and turn it off in these conditions, it's not a good idea to use it here.) Okay, there's today's safety tips, other Morons can add to them as they see fit. G'luck Northern Horde. Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at November 28, 2024 06:24 AM (O7YUW) 83
