A friend and I once found ourselves following a trailer full of ostriches. The interior was dim, but there were a few shafts of life cutting through it, and after a very short while, we had to pass them because the way their heads were swaying and bouncing was going to cause us both to pass out.

Well that market never developed, and some ranchers were paying to deep freeze their meat at a large facility that had once been a Schlitz plant in Longview. Ended being 40,000 or 50,000 lbs of frozen ostrich meat there in storage.

Well one summer day all the animals industrial cooling systems failed and the transformers blew out and the whole thing thawed. Imagine the stench of 50,000 lbs of poultry all going bad at the same time…

Also hoping they can do something for pain. He is very uncomfortable.

There has been a trend the last several years among paleontologists to refer to tyrannosaurs, triceratops, and such as "non-avian dinosaurs" recognizing that cassowaries, ostriches, and such are dinosaurs. It also explains why God would create dinosaurs if they were just fated to all die 65 million years ago. He did it so we could have turkey for Thanksgiving.

I have been saying I need to make my own. I think it would be best for him if I do. He will eat people chicken breast, but Sabi won’t. I will need to figure out how to get Sabi to actually eat homemade food, too. Neither eat fish. They are really picky, which makes this whole thing hard.

Thank you. He's back now. They couldn't say if its a clot without an ultrasound. And the local hospital has no ultrasound techs on weekends. So he's probably going to be off work for a few days until they can get him in. He's an OTR truck driver and they are at higher risk for clots.
I'm hoping it's something less worrisome.

I have an old hand cranked grinder that I use to chop up chicken and pork for the cats, when I can find the meat on sale cheaper than the normal wet cat food. I raw pack it into half pints to can for them so it is cooked and I don't have to worry so much about it being too cold to eat from the fridge or spoiling.

If you have less problem with portions, I bet you could get away with cooking it in the crock pot instead. My cats can be picky about texture, so I use the grinder before cooking it.

You know, chicken breast is sort of a loss leader locally, and picnic shoulder pork are cheap too, so I just cut the meat up and grind it, and I roast and cook the bones for stock. If you want to get chicken hind quarters and stew them so they fall off the bones, you can do that. The bones will go really soft if you cook them at 15 lbs pressure with water to cover and a teaspoon of vinegar, but I never grind the bones for the cats.

You could add the stock to the food for the extra collagen and stuff instead of eating it.

Don't know nuttin' 'bout 'no adb but 127.0.0.1 is the local loopback address, your own machine. It may be using that someway somehow for a USB connection something crazy, but that sounds like the tool is trying to connect back to your own machine and not whatever it's supposed to.
