Happy Thanksgiving from Canada!
We had our friends over from across the street for 2.5 hours. The 3 girls decorated the tree. The dog got tons of treats. Their cats hid and stayed away. The wife brought over chili with tons of toppings, homemade bread, homemade pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream. We bought a huge pizza for the kids. Tons of leftovers. The kids loved their Christmas gifts. But they're incredible kids - brought gifts for my mother, decorated the tree, helped me put the boxes away, cleared the table of dishes, started washing dishes but I said that was alright And they put all the gift wrapping in the trash. So our 4th Merry Christmas in November was a great success. So tired... Posted by: Stateless at November 28, 2024 06:31 PM (jvJvP) 11

Remember that movie, what is it called? Battleship Los Angeles, I think? USA is under attack and the ONLY ship that can fight is an old WWII relic on display as museum piece.

Quite something to watch Joe Rogan take the red pill in real time. He's learning things we've all known but they're all new to him. Better late than never but wow.
My original career track was political lawyer. I was even a volunteer for Nixon when I was a kid. What most people think about Watergate is a lie, by the way. Been following politics my whole life. What's happening right now is so much bigger than a single election. Tectonic plates of politics and more importantly culture are shifting. There's going to be lots of "wow" happening. The urban rural divide is spectacular. Going from the poorest area of Virginia to NYC is 5 hours is revealing.

Yes, when he was laying in state there. The crowd was silent save for some quiet sobbing ================== One of my most vivid memories about Reagan is the way throngs of people lined the road as his body was being driven up to his final resting place. Thousands and thousands of people paying their final respects. I don't remember that happening to anyone before or since. I hope I live long enough to see that happen with Trump.
