RFC 35140: The Do-Not-Stab flag in the HTTP Header. (5SNB)

An idea whose time has come.
Over the last 50 years, advancements in peripherals have allowed websites to stab users. A number of industries have popped up to provide SaaS (Stabbings as a Service). Some users have expressed discomfort when a knife is plunged into their chest, and this header allows those users to express their personal preferences.
A user preference can, of course, be ignored by bad actors. However, most stabbings are not done by malicious actors, they are simply law-abiding companies which will gladly stop stabbing you if you ask. This standard provides a method for a user to easily opt-out of all stabbings, except those mandated by law, and ones that the company wants to do anyways.
Seems entirely fair. Who could possibly object to this?
Syntax

The header has only one form, Do-Not-Stab: 1. This is because the lack of a header indicates a clear preference that the user wants to be stabbed.
Understandable.
Defaults

A user-agent MUST NOT adopt Do-Not-Stab: 1 as the default preference. If a user-agent were to do this, web services SHOULD ignore the preference and stab the user anyways.
This is of course a parody of... Well, pretty much everything the big tech companies do these days.

Disclaimer: As it turns out, I did not accidentally throw out the fruit cake. I was cleaning the kitchen yesterday and there was some fruit loaf sitting on the counter - or so I thought - and I realised that it had to be stale since I haven't bought fruit loaf for two or three weeks. So I threw it out. Then later on I went to get a slice of fruit cake and there wasn't any because I had thrown it out. Though I couldn't understand how I had done that since they don't look that much alike. And this was a problem because gluten-free fruit cake is available for about three weeks of the year and the window has already closed, so there wouldn't be any more until October next year. But then I was in the kitchen today and I found the fruit cake and it turns out that I did in fact throw out stale fruit loaf which is available year-round. So I had some.

14 Dreams . . . I had a variant on the "unprepared for a test" nightmare. I had missed the 7:30-9:15 morning class of whatever it was, and arrived at the auditorium about 9:20. The same prof taught both the first class and the 9:30 one, and I usually sat on the second or third row, so I was sure (despite the fact the class was a big one in a giant auditorium) that he'd know I'd skipped. I crept into a desk farther back. Then I discovered I had no paper to take notes on. I hoped to borrow some from a classmate, but it seemed I didn't know anybody to ask.

A woman came up to me with a shoulder bag, asking if I knew the owner, and described him -- poorly, as the owner came up, and he didn't resemble the description at all.

Nice note to start a Monday on.

Sorry to hear that, JQ. A good morning to you! "Take it one day at a time" is the best life advice I ever got; maybe you can adapt it to you.

The Swamp cooled on Friday and Saturday, and warmed back again (not as bad) yesterday, so I had to run the window unit A/C in the afternoon. 'Tis 64 F. right now, which is fairly pleasant.

Thank you, sir. I have no idea how the boss will take it; I hope he'll be okay with my leaving at the end of Jan. As for Linda, the right time never seems to arrive. Perhaps the melatonin I've suggested to her will head off the migraine, and we can discuss this on Friday, after the T-giving fuss is over. (We're going to a nice restaurant on Thursday p.m., so it's not a cooking fuss.)

She still hasn't told me what she wants for her b'day on 12/1. I'll stop at Dillard's and get her some perfume or a gift card, I guess.

Got to rinse the felines' bowls and set their canned food out to warm a little while. I'll shower, feed them, and then, real breakfast.

This is the second time they've summoned me, despite the fact I'm ineligible. Apparently they don't pay attention to their records.

Appreciated Daniel reaching out to the team about this! Hosting blobs is one of those things that will inevitably go through iterations as we understand the abuse vectors more and more, but for now it's really fun to see this kind of usage in action. We are hosting just our son and his girlfriend, who are heading back to Dallas Thursday after lunch, which will be very simple.
The real cooking starts Friday- with pies for his church event. Making and freezing the crusts today to be a bit ahead.

Had a stern talking-to with myself, the result of which was I spent several hours stringently cleaning out the sewing room yesterday. I feel twenty pounds lighter, after deciding to goback to my first loves- quilting and knitting and deleting everything else.

Good morning. I have a puppy question for Hadrian . At what age should puppies stop having "accidenrs" in the house.
We purchased a bernedoodle a week and a half ago. He is quire smart and we have about house broken him, but on occasion if we don't get him outside in the morning on time (I'm hurt at the moment, but wife does her best) he still pees in the house.

Just curious because he is smart. He will even come to me during the day and bark at me if he needs to ho. Makes me think he should not be having accidents.

Amy help would be appreciated.

The rule of thumb is they can hold it for one hour for every month of age. It might help to confine him to a crate for the evening as dogs are adverse to eliminating where they sleep.

We're attuned to hearing them and if they start to complain, run them out.

For young puppies, we'd set an alarm every two hours and take turns getting up and taking the puppy out to its soiling area.
