15 The century-old question has been recently addressed by Dr. Frans Grijzenhout, professor of Art History at the University of Amsterdam. Grijzenhout argues that the setting for painting is on Vlamingstraat (fig. 1) in Delft, where houses 40–42 now stand. Grijzenhout's conclusion is based on measurements he has found in the Legger van het diepen der wateren binnen de stadt Delft (Ledger of the dredging of canals in the town of Delft), a document compiled from 1666 onward recording the widths of house frontages for tax purposes.

It would be interesting to pass a rule that the average salary of government workers (excluding the DoD) cannot exceed the average salary of workers in the country.

It would focus them on the need to improve the economy if they want more money as opposed to now where they benefit from damaging the economy.

117 It would be interesting to pass a rule that the average salary of government workers (excluding the DoD) cannot exceed the average salary of workers in the country.

It would focus them on the need to improve the economy if they want more money as opposed to now where they benefit from damaging the economy.

Then Vermeer added it as green like the others at left. Then he painted it red. The idea drew the viewer's eye to the woman in doorway and framed contrast.. The viewer is left wondering why red and not green?

131 I love the way Vermeer captures the details in his work. The brickwork and wooden textures are superb as is the realistic color. His placement of the two women working quietly in the doorways and the children playing emphasizes the 'little street' title. Without being overly sweet, it is a pleasant, quiet scene that is enjoyable to look at. It makes me want to study it longer to note all the details and imagine the sounds in the image.

It's been forgotten, but Noo Awlins' very first graveyard was within what's now the French Quarter, near where I used to catch the bus for junior high school. It's long since been built over with houses. I seem to recall a story that when one resident put in a swimming pool or a fish pond, the dig found bones 200+ years old.

There is also the legend that the Saints football team was cursed because the Superdome is built over an ancient Indian burial ground. And midtown has a small potters' field that has very few headstones, but lots of headboards -- plywood whitewashed and lettered by hand, as that was all the relatives could afford. A chilly and sad site to see even in daylight.

Go ahead and pray, that's bound to work. Shouldn’t they be held accountable for threatening to take your life Mr. former vice president?

Pence is 100% to blame for all of this. Look at his adoring ass kissing looks at Trump during all these meetings. We knew Trump was bad from the beginning. We didn't need an Indiana Airhead to tell us that

Pence needs to stop trying to prepare for a 2028 run.

Anyway, she just never even bothered signing in over her employment at HHS for a collectively very long period of days, which they interpret as unauthorized vacation and her union is fighting, saying she "worked" off network.

292 I learned that it would take 30,000 wind turbines to replace one coal fired boiler power plant.

Only 10% of the energy produced by a wind turbine makes it to the grid because it's so incredibly inconsistent.

Also, it's cheaper to build a new one than fix an old one that breaks, so we're going to have landscapes covered with dead turbines just sitting there in the next 10 - 20 years.

They're garbage. All because of the money laundering farce called 'climage change.'

I've pointed it out for ages.

But even prior to C19, I knew a woman on an agency approved 'contract' to sit home for 10 years. Eventually, as administrations changed, she was forgotten about. She 'worked from home" with a rare assignment (the first decade). She was paid at a decent mid-level managerial level plus D.C. locality pay.

Opened another business from home, got in great shape and enjoyed the arts...all while otherwise 'employed.' And then retired with an excellent amount of $ in Thrift Savings and other savings & stock.

Not unusual at all for the managerial level problem children to be hidden for very long periods of time, often in other agencies including state, municipal, and in universities, etc.

I grew up there in the time period when JKT was writing the novel, early Sixties and beyond. A *lot* has changed around downtown, where the novel opens; there no longer is a Woolworth's, for instance. The Uptown area where Ignatius and his mother lived is still there with houses like those Toole described. A lot of neighborhoods, though, you take your life in your hands to go there. This weekend two shootings happened in an area near where I used to play and we used to buy ice cream when I was a kid.

No, let's not pardon prisoners who have been locked up for four years for "parading."

Trump won't even have to pardon him. Just get the DOJ to vacate their convictions or drop charges if not convicted yet.
If they won't do that, then he'll pardon them.

Nope. The whole utility of glass/carbon fiber is from having long fibers encased in resin. The higher the fiber/resin ration the better as long as it all sticks together. Shredding an existing part makes short, useless fibers.

391 there is a place nearby that sells VERY cheap produce, most of it is bulk quantity, but some individual packages. I got organic blueberries there for $2/pint, that's an example of their value.

It's staffed mainly by illegals.

One particular worker has tried to chisel me out of fiddy cent twice. I'm talking about a 3.00 purchase, she tells me it's 3.50

I knew what she was doing but I thought wtf it's 50 cent, let her have her fun.

But she did it with me again yesterday except this time it was an 8.00 purchase and she wanted 8.50
I told her the total was wrong so she took everything out the bag and made a show of recalculating and whaddaya know, I was right!!

So she is a habitual chiseler. I went home and asked my friend who is fluent in 6 languages how to say: "The new president it going to send La Migra after you to deport you"

and I am now practicing that little line
