That's because it technically classifies as a basement. The adjuster said the three-and-a-half inch 'step down' from the entrance changed the classification of the room. The couples' insurance doesn't cover basements. "It's ridiculous. To even come out and say the word "basement" in the state of Florida is comical," Jaime told WFLA. https://tinyurl.com/bp6hnj9c

Can anyone put me some knowledge to what they think RFK is actually going to do at FDA?
I know he's complained about lack of transparency on testing vaccines as well as the testing done. I know he's complained about industry influence. I know he thinks the approval process is too lenient. I know he thinks FDA don't monitor released drugs enough. So my belief is he would add more testing for drugs in the pipeline. He would add monitoring for current drugs on the market. He would do something to break the coupling of FDA employees and Pharma companies. Is that right? Am I missing big points? None of that seems too terrible. What are FDA employees freaking out about? Maybe they don't want a non-compete type clause that they can't make money from Pharma while still employed by FDA? I'm still waiting for some enterprising Lawyer, to get ahold of some folks who had bad reactions to the Covid shot... and realize that the CDC CHANGED the definition of Vaccine, to make the Covid Genetic Therapy shot, protected under the Vaccine laws.
Problem is, that the legal definition of vaccine, when the law was passed, is the only legal definition. The CDC does not have the authority to change law. The Covid shots are not Vaccines. They are a Genetic Therapy, with untested and unknown side effects, that we are only now getting a real handle on... and should not be shielded under the Vaccine protection law. Fox News reported Thursday that Pelosi “was fact-checked on Wednesday by the Washington Post for claiming that fewer migrants came into the U.S. under President Biden than under President-elect Trump's first term.” That’s right. Pelosi is actually claiming that President Open Borders let in fewer illegal migrants than President Wall. Give Pelosi credit for audacity: she knows there is a certain segment of people out there who will believe her and dismiss the claims of her opponents, and even of the Washington Post fact check because they’re ideologically committed to the idea that the Democrats, and the left in general, are on the side of righteousness, justice, and truth. https://tinyurl.com/x6sak6mj Their willingness to flat out lie is breathtaking. I'm glad to see Trump is going big for AG, DNI, HHS, and Defense, instead of naming compromise candidates; name the people you want, try your darnedest to get them confirmed, and don't open with compromise nominees. However, now I'm scratching my head as to why he didn't appoint Homan or another immigration hawk to DHS instead of the wishy-washy Noem; I thought he was trying to avoid confirmation battles by making Homan a "czar" instead of a Senate-approved appointee, but he's clearly not shying away from fights in the Senate--Homan or even someone like Kris Kobach would probably have a better chance of getting in smoothly at DHS than Gaetz or RFK Jr. do at DoJ or at HHS. I'm hoping the idea is that Noem will handle administrative functions at DHS, allowing Homan to focus more narrowly on immigration enforcement; I really don't trust her to have the fortitude to oversee Operation Wetback 2.0 herself.

Posted by: illiniwek ------------- I use Roundup and think it is safe. But a while back I saw a video of a guy who started a homestead for his family, with cows, chickens, etc. All their staples are home grown. Had his blood tested, and he had high glyphosate levels. How? He researched and a lot of feed suppliers spray their fields to dry them out before harvest. So he was feeding his cattle high levels of roundup because it is convenient and no one checks for it in meat. So his whole family had high levels from eating beef. That was the theory but he was still investigating at the time. I never saw how it turned out for the homesteader, but this is fucked up if true. We have a problem with US food industry. So he may as well hire whomever for whatever, and force Thune's cucks to quit holding them hostage. Yeah, the only way to get true reform is to go in there and level the place. The pushback is going to be immense, but I think this time, Trump is not f**king around. 1. Trump and pals are a bull in the china shop and the veil is lifted from the public's eyes. I would like this group to consider the original intention of welfare and ponder if we shouldn’t pivot towards this idea…
It was for mothers who lost support from the family bread winner, by death or abandonment, so that mother could continue to raise her children. The idea was to supplement other forms of charity, as well as family support. Do we honestly think children going to daycare to be raised is a great idea? Or is bringing back traditional family dynamics a better plan? Having an adult home to supervise and help with homework - or homeschool even might help some of the social issues we are experiencing as a country. We have to bring back the concept of ostracizing people who leave their families, and shame of being an unwed mother, of course. It all works together. Well, I for one would like to understand the rise in autism and related conditions. Especially in people who don’t have that in their family DNA and it’s now suddenly exploding. It’s not a natural part of gene progression, so what is it? They spend a lot of time defending vaccines. But we only hear one side. Let’s have that debate. Truthfully without one hand tied behind our backs. But first read what is in some of these vaccines, all of the ingredients, then take a look at the supply chain and where they come from. It will be an eye opener.
Posted by: Marcus T RFK Jr. has specifically mentioned the effect of the combined MMR vaccine having an effect on both Autism and Crib Death. The correlating statistics are quite convincing. It's fucking eye-popping how much sugar is in everyday products and how hard it is to find food without it once you start looking. >>> 461 Somewhere at the top of his list is getting all the added sugar out of food. It's fucking eye-popping how much sugar is in everyday products and how hard it is to find food without it once you start looking. One of the best ideas I've heard as well is that added sugar has to be labeled in teaspoons instead of grams so people realize how much it has. Added sugar is probably the biggest health hazard in our food.
Posted by: the dandy at November 14, 2024 04:36 PM (L+5ng) One of the things I found interesting about the Whole 30 (besides the horse meat!! thing that naturalfake found) was the idea of avoiding *ANY* sweeteners during the 30 days. Seems like that would help reset your taste buds to a more normal level of sweet tolerance / craving, which in turn would help one notice all the added gunk. I don't know of any farmers around me using glyphosate to dry down their fields early. Most have glyphosate resistance in their crops anyway, so it wouldn't even work.
Posted by: illiniwek ---------- I don't know and as I said he was still investigating, but it does make sense to me that it *could* be used to dry non-resistant crops. I also said that I think it is safe. That said, I would not recommend a population wide experiment to see how safe and at what levels. Nick in Tallahassee --- I'm going by this response from Burgum ...
“The Secretary of Energy focuses on hydrogen and nuclear energy, all important things, but oil and gas is over in DOE, EPA, Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management. There’s a dozen agencies,” said Burgum. Burgum said whatever was released earlier in the press about this position was trial balloons that didn’t relate to him specifically. He said he thinks it’s a reflection of ideas that have been talked about which is you can’t solve this nation’s energy problems with just one position. The president isn't a king. The Congress is arguably the strongest branch based on design. The Congress establishes limits of executive power, and no court would say, especially against Trump, "the executive choosing to shut down a department as authorized by the legislature and signed by a previous president without approval from Congress is fine."
Posted by: TheJamesMadison Yes and no. Basically Congress has given the executive all sorts of power buried in statutes over the years--waivers, emergency powers triggered by proclamations, etc. The easiest way which is a reversal, is simply have the government shut down but continue essential services. RIF (reduction in force) is an exception to civil service removal in such cases for example. People forget but when the current budget regime was set up in the 1970's, we had several 'shutdowns' that no one noticed much. It was much later during the GHW Bush years that shutdowns because government spending bills had not passed in time became politicized. DOGE, in part, is to give Trump the tools to fight the PR battle over the inevitable shutdowns that will occur during his term. Posted by: whig at November 14, 2024 04:44 PM (ctrM5) 520

thx for that detail ... thimerasol now rings a bell. Posted by: illiniwek at November 14, 2024 04:40 PM (Cus5s) Thimerasol and the current aluminim compound used were only partially used for preservation. they are also compounds that create an immune response on their own, and trick the body into identifying any foreign element in the body as an immune system threat. That means the viral fragments in the "killed virus" shots are recognized as dangerous and "remembered" by the immune system it also has the risk of causing an immune response to other things as well, and I suspect the rise in allergies to peanuts and latex and whatnot are also linked to the adjudivants in the vaccines. It may have something to do with the rise of auto-immune disease, and chronic inflammation. No one knows because of the risk that it might be true, and the damage claims that would cause Posted by: Kindltot at November 14, 2024 04:49 PM (D7oie) 526

I hope RFK, Jr. isn't who C.S. Lewis wrote about: "“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”
