Evening and morning to all the early risers and late toilers!
I found out yesterday that, because of new (governmental?) rules, starting Jan. 1 there is a new salary limit for those who are exempt for overtime -- in other words, those who must clock in and out on the computer app used to manage our time. And I am a mere $600 on the low side of that. The only was to avoid it would be for my boss to ask to have my job reclassified, which would mean paying me more money. Unlikely. And I don't want to punch a time clock again. I already feel like a seventh wheel in my office; being the only clock-puncher would cement it. Looks like the retirement thing is gotta happen soon. " Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government. And paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people and sending them off to distant lands to die of foreign fevers and foreign shot and shell." But don't worry, if Harris had been elected it wouldn't have been lies, but just, uh, not complete truths that had America entering the war... From what I read, the Supreme Court ruled in NLRB v. Noel Canning (2014) that the Senate must be in recess at least ten days to enable the president to make recess appointments.
So, basically, if Congress formally gavels out a session for a two week vacation, then Trump can make appointments during that time. That means the Senate will have to end “pro-forma” sessions like McConnell did by having one member gavel in an empty Senate every three days during breaks to prevent Trump from making recess appointments during his first term. President Trump's nominees to date are mostly in their forties and to a person seem singularly committed to blowing up the entrenched and self-serving power structure found across the entire executive branch of the federal government. This I'm sure this is quite apparent to the geriatric leadership found in Congress and in many agencies. If Trump's bold strategy Is successful he immediately puts in place people who are at least a generation, more likely two, younger then the aged leadership that refuses to give up clinging to power, who over the next 4 years will gain the experience and develop the necessary networks to push aside the geriatrics quite possibly for the next 20 years. President Trump is not looking for a 4-year victory. He is looking for a generational change that will remap the course of this country for decades. The coming confirmation battles are going to be brutal because they are about far more than mere appointments.

The most important things for Matt Gaetz to remember is to do what the people of America want done as Attorney General. First and foremost he needs to shut down the access to online prostitution services across the country. Second he needs to make sure the federal government continues to enforce the DOJ's Asset Forfeiture Program to enrich the government. And lastly he needs to recuse himself on any and all cases that come before him.

182 No more. They just put the Cali crap on everything. I had my KIA inspected in PA about 12 years ago, and some sort of valve in the air system had a crack and it showed up on the computer. Guy said it was a Cali mandated pollution giz, and even if I was in Allegheny County with emissions testing the car would pass. Replacement cost was a bit high, it's still there, and the car runs fine.

In a clip played widely this morning on CNN, Mike Huckabee proclaims, "there's no such thing as a Palestinian". In the attached video he goes even further. Trump and Huckabee promise peace in the region. Ya, like the US Cavalry brought peace to the Great Plains.
And soon there won't be. If only there was something the people who really care about this could have done. That is what the Chump voters, the Stein voters, and refuse to vote Harris people dictated. Nation of martyrs it is, the people have spoken and the Palestinians "supporters" demand they be utterly annihilated. There are only Christians, Jews, and Infidels. Or to christofascists, only Christians and Infidels. Maybe we're all just "humans" or something. What a silly notion! No More West Bank? Problem solved! It's being optioned for Hotels. Throwing the vote because Biden couldn't get anything done has certainly cut off their noses to spit their faces. If countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Qatar fail to aid the Palestinians, their genocide is assured. Trump will do nothing to help Palestinians. He sees Gaza as the new Monaco, another playground for the rich. Posted by: Intercepted DU Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at November 14, 2024 08:10 AM (ycI94) 211
