15 The majority held, sua sponte, that because there is no statute stating or suggesting that US Congress has empowered the CEQ to issue rules binding on other agencies, the CEQ has no lawful authority to promulgate such regulations.

There are SO MANY rules like this that allow someone not elected, not appointed to write an email that ends up being THE LAW.

    16 JustTheNews:

Cellular carriers have told Congress they possess intact phone usage data from the vicinity where two pipe bombs were planted during the Jan. 6 incident, directly disputing FBI testimony that agents couldn't identify a suspect because the phone data was corrupted, a key House chairman tells Just the News.

The revelations from Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., the chairman of the House Administration oversight subcommittee, adds new intrigue to a debate that has gripped Washington for nearly four years: Why can't the FBI with so much evidence and manpower identify the suspect who planted the explosive devices at the Democrat and Republican Party headquarters hours before the Capitol was breached.

The scale of those cuts would be catastrophic. In October, Musk himself said his plan to slash the federal budget would cause economic turmoil, cause markets to crash, and “necessarily involve some temporary hardship.” Experts have also said Musk’s $2 trillion figure is more than merely aspirational — it’s practically impossible to find that much money to cut without putting social programs on the chopping board.

That’s a feature, not a bug, of living in a highly developed techno-bureaucratic Administrative State.

We wanted the Constitution of the United States what we’ve been getting is the Constitution of the European.

88 In a clip played widely this morning on CNN, Mike Huckabee proclaims, "there's no such thing as a Palestinian". In the attached video he goes even further. Trump and Huckabee promise peace in the region. Ya, like the US Cavalry brought peace to the Great Plains.

And soon there won't be. If only there was something the people who really care about this could have done.

That is what the Chump voters, the Stein voters, and refuse to vote Harris people dictated. Nation of martyrs it is, the people have spoken and the Palestinians "supporters" demand they be utterly annihilated.

There are only Christians, Jews, and Infidels. Or to christofascists, only Christians and Infidels. Maybe we're all just "humans" or something. What a silly notion!

No More West Bank? Problem solved! It's being optioned for Hotels. Throwing the vote because Biden couldn't get anything done has certainly cut off their noses to spit their faces.

If countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Qatar fail to aid the Palestinians, their genocide is assured. Trump will do nothing to help Palestinians. He sees Gaza as the new Monaco, another playground for the rich.

The scale of those cuts would be catastrophic. In October, Musk himself said his plan to slash the federal budget would cause economic turmoil, cause markets to crash, and “necessarily involve some temporary hardship.”

Nobody in the FedGov cared about economic turmoil, crashing markets or "temporary hardship" four years ago. My level of pity is zero point zero.

129 Amidst all my election glee I will admit that the Kari Lake outcome is depressing and confounding. I like her a lot but there must be something about her personality that annoys some significant group of people…. She ran substantially behind Trump in AZ. I’m still convinced she win the gubernatorial race in 2022 and was cheated… but twice “losing” statewide races probably ends her political career. Maybe Trump can find a lower level position for her somewhere… maybe helping Homan with the border.

I believe elections for appointed "interim" Senators are always held on the next regular election to fill the remainder of the term. So, whoever DeSantis appoints will have the job until 2026 and would then need to run for re-election in 2026 and 2028 which would put it back on the correct schedule.

For me, the Tell was when he resigned from the House immediately. I believe Gaetz wanted the ethics report to die, House Leadership wanted it to go away, everyone wanted a face saving way out of a bad situation, and they all went to Trump to make a deal to make it look like Gaetz was leaving for some other reason.

What does Trump get? Gaetz becomes a lightning rod for criticism and by doing so makes it easier for the other nominees to go through. If this view is true, then Gaetz will remove his name from consideration before any confirmation hearings.

Well look at the screen, there he is, with Joe Biden himself saying “”Welcome Back!”

297 I don't see much point in anyone on the right buying MSNBC. For what? To turn it conservative or something? Couple problems, there. For one thing, TV is almost over. It does with the boomers. It wouldn't have an audience for very long. Secondly, cable providers would just stop offering it, anyway.

But, if they're selling it for a song, I could see doing it just to shut off the cameras and force those flying monkeys to ride out their contracts in blessed, beautiful silence while you raffle off all the physical plant to porno companies.

People say this but no one beat her in the primaries. It's like saying that DeSantis would have gotten 400 EVs if he'd been the nominee. If you think she's bad and that someone else would have done better, you have to get that someone else past her. If they get the nomination, they're losers.

    [Pull Quotes:]
"Without fracking of oil and gas deposits, there would have been no economic growth in the U.S. over the past five years."

2nd paragraph: "During the first five years of the Obama administration, economic growth averaged a dismal 1.2 percent, and only 2.2 percent in the four years since the recovery from the Great Recession began ... [and] the contribution to GDP from the development of [FRACKING] is now running at more than 2.5 percent of GDP per year and rapidly growing. This addition to GDP is expected to peak in 2016 at about 3.2 of GDP, and thereafter reach a permanently higher, steady state, which would not have occurred without [FRACKING] production."

BOTTOM LINE: Thru DogEater's 1st 5 years, FRACKING contributed more to GDP than the TOTAL economy's GDP # (would have been NEGATIVE otherwise), and the FRACKING component was expected to KEEP RISING during his final 3 years (those #s obviously N/A at that time in 2014).

371 262 This is actually why I find Fetterman worrying, long term. He has that relatable, blunt Trump energy, and masks his otherwise extremely liberal views well. He's speaking much better now after his stroke, and comes from a critical swing state. He could be a force to be reckoned with in a few more years.

I watched some clips from Fetterman’s interview with Rogan.

While he is a lot smoother politician than you’d guess from looking at the surface, Rogan absolutely tore him a new one over the Dems using immigration to swing states to fix future elections.

Fetterman just couldn’t come up with a decent spin to save himself.

Per the Associated Press website, historically when recounts have been done they only changed a tiny number of votes… like a few hundred at most. McCormick’s current lead is about 26K. No way a recount reverses that. The only way it could flip is if “new” ballots are “found”…. McCormick has lawyers actively challenging the counting of questionable provisional ballots as well as mail-ins that aren’t properly signed and dated. For the Dems it’s 4th and 35 from their own 20 yard line. They could run a miracle play (Stanford band anyone) but it’s highly highly unlikely. Interesting point, but not a fear as I see it. Musk is both too cultured and clear-thinking. He may cool on the whole political scene in time, but not turn on Trump. Rogan on the other hand has a meat-head side to him, but again I think if bored with Trump's successes he'll simply redirect his energies in other cultural directions. The fact is, the Left's lurid displays of hatred and blithering incompetence are driving the podcasts and drawing in the sane, corrective forces like Musk, and that's not going to change.

    A guess?
It's always been a loss leader that is funded by the may successful NBC/Comcast channels (they have so many).

Its value has been in its partnership with the DNC, as the party's and Obama/Biden WH spokesmen. The company got tax breaks and other goodies in return.

Recall that during Obamacare legislation process, MSNBC had a daily 1 hour healthcare news show hosted by Dr. Nancy Snyderman. Show ended when Obamacare passed. Recall the DNC server hack where it was revealed that then DNC head Debbie WS was intimately involved in MSNBC programming, that she even demanded they pull a guest while he was mid-interview on air. Recall Mika getting texts from Valerie Jarrett rebutting what a GOP guest was saying and reading them out to him.

MSNBC has not been a news channel for a long time, and Comcast's "revenue" from it has been from the government, not the audience/advertisers.

433 States who continue to provide sanctuary to illegal aliens have a lot to lose. There is a substantial amount of money they receive for related support. The federal government can argue much of that funding is related to immigration. That includes education, social welfare benefits, etc. The new administration will also be cutting out all the NGO support that Biden was funneling money to under the radar. Combine that with federal supremacy on immigration and the ability of agents to move freely within the state, or use national guard in support of those operations and states don’t have a lot of choices. I’m not sure why they would even go down this road when the number one issue in almost every state is illegal immigration.

    445 Remember:
The policy of "skip helping Trump voters" started as "skip helping conservatives" under Obama.

Yes, they dressed it in nice-sounding phrases about helping minorities and such.

But government assistance is a zero-sum game--if you're helping more of this group, you have to take from an equally-qualified group.

The FEMA lady just skipped past the nice-sounding words and went right to the true intent: Fuck whitey.

447 @298 People say this but no one beat her in the primaries. It's like saying that DeSantis would have gotten 400 EVs if he'd been the nominee. If you think she's bad and that someone else would have done better, you have to get that someone else past her. If they get the nomination, they're losers.

I used to have a different nic

I don't agree with that. Primary voters often just pick the person who they have heard of, or the person who someone they respect (like Trump) endorses. There is no guarantee they pick people who can win. If Trump endorsed someone else in those primaries, they probably win the primary. Indeed, maybe Lake or Walker don't run at all if Trump makes it clear he would endorse an opponent.

449 Good morning, all! Thanks, MisHum. The gentle easing in (or out, or 🤔🤷‍♀️ ) plan is working, imho.

I know Chicago made the big news but I suspect the major sanctuary cities have been following a pattern for years - since the very 1st O&Joe administration. It's both well thought out and employing a "hide in plain sight" theory. (Looked at several cities but I'll use the Philly region because of familiarity, and simply cite articles for example & fact.)

    >Billy Penn at WHYY, 'Philly’s 8-year battle to be a sanctuary city' Philadelphia just won a major victory. Here’s how we got to this point. June 10, 2018

    >Roads & Kingdoms & Slate (Every week R&K and Slate co produced a new global dispatch) 'Philly's Little Africa,' Feb. 05, 2018, by Annie Risemberg. A community of immigrants from all over West Africa has grown into a permanent piece of the city's cultural landscape.

450 >Also NBC News, 'Judge rules that Philadelphia, a 'sanctuary city,' is entitled to federal funding' Despite resisting immigration policies enforced by the Trump administration, Philadelphia is entitled to federal funding, argues a federal judge. June 18, 2018

    >Philadelphia Gay News, Philadelphia’s sanctuary city status threatened By Victoria A. Brownworth, November 13, 2024

(Now to population & voting shifts, thanks in part to the redistricting
    >Delaware County Commission for Immigrant Affairs: "In September 2022, Delaware County Council unanimously voted to adopt a resolution to establish The Delaware County Commission for Immigrant Affairs."

(Note: But one meeting of the new County Commission? A Commission comprised of Delco County residents?)

    >Towntalk, Blue amid the Red, Delco incumbents sweep as PA won by Trump, November 13, 2024.

    >The Phila. Daily News, Nov. 13, 2024, 'Overcrowding in Northeast strains schools'

In part, "Immigration is fueling the population boom. Angelique Leizerowicz-Taylor, the principal of Fox Chase Elementary, said she enrolls students daily; last week, nine students registered-all of whom where English language learners.

    Cont'd -

    Posted by: L - L - Rooster today, feather duster tomorrow. But not w/o a fight. at November 14, 2024 11:07 AM (NFX2v)

451 "At Anne Frank, 700 of the school's 1,635 students are English language learners, and 200 more students, and 200 more students who have successfully exited the program."
Last paragraphs: "This is a great opportunity-put [students] on the bus and have them come to schools that are half full," said Gail Clouden, known as Mama Gail. "And the question would be, 'Why not?' Why aren't we thinking on those terms?"

(And so busing, moving 'immigrant' children is OK, it seems.)

    >WHYY, 'A game changer': 'AFAHO's new health center will serve uninsured, underinsured residents in Delco' The clinic will serve non- and under-insured residents, with a specific focus on African and Caribbean immigrants.

(Essentially, a Philly community (AFAHO) program - which ALWAYS needs additional funding - shall serve (setup inside) Delco &/or expand & shift more & more residents into Delco, EXCLUDING the affluent towns & areas of course.)

*And so the children missing under DHS & HHS shall remain 'missing," the undocumented communities continue to expand but their children are U.S. residents by the Constitution.

Again, just examples but likely those that are working very similarly nationwide.
