Kamala Harris Paid Al Sharpton's Grifter Organization $500,000 Before Appearing With Him for an "Interview"

There are going to be some sweet congressional investigations into the media's Pay-4-Play shakedown scheme.

The Harris-Walz campaign contributed $500,000 to Al Sharpton's National Action Network before Harris's October interview with the civil rights leader on MSNBC. The funds were part of a larger campaign push to rally minority voters as Harris faced declining support.

Key Details:

Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign made two $250,000 donations to Sharpton's National Action Network on September 5 and October 1, per FEC records.

The donation was part of a $5.4 million campaign allocation to Black and Latino activist groups.

Sharpton conducted a favorable interview with Harris on his "PoliticsNation" show on October 20, lauding her as a trailblazing leader and glossing over criticisms of her policies.

Diving Deeper:

The Harris-Walz campaign donated $500,000 to Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network (NAN) shortly before an October interview on MSNBC, where Sharpton offered high praise and avoided critical questions about Harris's record. FEC filings reveal that the campaign issued two separate $250,000 donations to Sharpton's nonprofit on September 5 and October 1, following substantial campaign spending directed at minority groups as Harris worked to curb slipping support.

...

The Harris-Walz campaign, which raised approximately $1 billion and spent $880 million as of October, has come under intense examination for its spending patterns, especially in light of Harris's heavy losses in all seven battleground states. The Washington Examiner recently reported additional campaign spending on high-profile media engagements, such as a $1 million payout to Oprah Winfrey's production company, Harpo Productions, and six figures toward setting up an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. Campaign finance records reveal that Harris ended her campaign with a $20 million deficit despite amassing substantial resources, raising questions about financial strategy and effectiveness.

Sharpton's National Action Network, which hosted Harris's October interview, is among the largest recipients of Harris's minority outreach funding. These contributions spotlight a pattern of strategic, high-dollar campaign donations aimed at bolstering support from influential activist organizations, even as the vice president's political base shows signs of weakening.

Lindy Li is a now-former DNC Finance Committee official. She raised millions, promising billionaires that they were guaranteed to win, because that's what the Harris campaign guaranteed her.

Now she says the billionaires are calling her up asking why she lied to them. She comes close to alleging fraud against the Harris campaign. She says that Harris campaign and the Democrats have to account for their campaign spending and their promises if they want people to donate to them in the future.

Here she says that the Democrats need to offer a "serious post-mortem," particularly as regards spending, if "daddy is ever going to fill the piggy bank again."

I don't want to alarm anybody, but she also says she has information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of Hillary Clinton.

(Joking, it's a meme, everyone says that just before they get suicided.)

A campaign is a business entity. Winning the campaign leads to a different business entity - graft (or grift - I always get them mixed up) by the elected person. But even if the campaign loses, the business of it was still quite profitable for MANY people.
In many ways it's similar to a professional sports team. The fans only count success by wins / championships. But the owner(s) of the team can be very successful financially even if the team doesn't produce the kind of success the fans care about.

Shorter version -- it's ALWAYS about the money.

In the US, our thug government apparatus is funded by massive borrowing and relying on the US reserve currency status allowing them to do it. That is reaching its natural end point as well as seen post 2021 and inflation in the US.

101 Wait a second -- what exactly is Lindy Li saying here?

She was able to raise millions of dollars because she was told Harris would win. In other words, if she was told the truth (Trump could win), these donors wouldn't have donated to Harris, and either would have sat it out or donated to Trump?

Are we dropping the fiction that donors donate to campaigns because they're trying to support people who agree with them?

If Harris was guaranteed to win, why would anyone donate any money?

I'm not expressing this well, but basically she's saying her donors only donated because they were assured Harris would win. And they did so because they wanted something from Harris.

Which is obviously how the world works, but do you really admit that on national TV?!

Shouldn't the sales pitch be "it's a close race, but with your help and support, Harris could absolutely win! Give us money!"

Not "Harris guarantees us she is going to win, so you'd better give us money." then when she doesn't win, the donors get pissed at the bundler, who then goes on Fox News to complain that Harris' campaign manager lied to her?

How the hell would Harris's campaign know if they were going to win or not? And of course they would talk it up like they were going to win (in public at least).

Something is very ... off... here.

195 high up figures in the Harris campaign believed, on the night of the election, that Kamala would win Iowa.

The Economist magazine also said that the Iowa poll changed everything - that it showed that Harris would take the Midwest.

Remember, the speech that Harris was working on for Election Night was that "counting takes time" - the expectation was that Trump would have a solid, but not overwhelming lead Election Night, and that the D's would then steal the election in the subsequent days.

They expected Trump to win (initially), but not by the margin that he actually won.

This is why Kamala was going to drop the filibuster to pass legislation to get more friendly justices on the SCOTUS. It takes the teeth out of having a chicken hawk in that position.

The Special ME Envoy reports directly to the White House, not State. Brilliant move IMO. It forces State to focus on China (which is where they should be looking).

I think it's a very common thing in any relationship where you want money or a job from someone.

It's not easy to tell the guy who is signing the checks he's wrong. Because he might not like that, and might stop signing the checks. Especially if he's a cocky prick.

Which many wealthy and powerful people are.

Much easier to just say "you're right. You are so smart." and move on with your life. No incentive in arguing.

347 There are going to be some sweet congressional investigations into the media's Pay-4-Play shakedown scheme.

I'm not sure this would even count as illegal. Commie "reporters" have given biased puffball interviews to Democrats as a matter of course for decades and decades -- whether or not the were bribed to do so.

In this particular instance, Al Sharpton's very essence and public persona is as a grifter and charlatan, so it's not like anybopdy wold expect him to be sincere and honest in he first place - and MSNBC is self-identified as the propaganda wing of the socialists, so again in what wa would it be deemed corrupt that they got a paycheck to do their job?

If anything, it's merely funny -- funny that Harris even had to pay them to promote her, because they couldn't even be bothered to do it for free, even though she embodies everything they supposedly tad for.

What this exposes is the he Democratic Party is nothing more than a gigantic grift machine, bilking money out of bone-ignorant rich white do-gooders and then sharing the cash amongst all the insider-grifters. The Harris campaign was nothing more than a con job like The Sting or Ocean's 11.

The Dems shifted a megaton amount of cash into the House and Senate races in the last weeks of the campaign season. The Republicans were vastly outspent by their Dem rivals. That's what I read, anyways. I think the time to prepare for the midterms is NOW. The legislative campaigns require plenty of cash, more so than the presidential campaign. Yeah, true. And the RNC and ancillaries like Presler have indicated that they already are.

But, the core of the problem with the House is that the census "accidentally on purpose" screwed up the 2020 census and gave blue states more than a dozen extra seats and Democrat gerrymandering.

With a corrected census, Republicans would probably have at least 8-10 more seats in the House.

My wife makes truly vicious kimchi out of them, but generally you cook them tender with ham and a tiny bit of pepper , and serve them as a green with vinegar. They are good with beans. Sometimes they are better if you chop them before boiling.

Greens can be really great, but tough on the gut for some. They take a while to cook down, and like spinach you get like a 10:1 reduction ratio. put some bacon, red pepper flakes, and garlic, maybe some onions in the pot with the greens, and cook with chicken stock for about an hour. You can cook turkey legs in them the first 45 minutes and shred the meat, then return to the pot.

This is me attempting to be rational:

Gaetz doesn't have a prayer of confirmation. And, I think you've hit on the strategy here. They don't expect Gaetz to be confirmed, but it lowers the bar for the REAL nominee (who they probably already have picked out). The truth is that NOTHING gets cleaned up across the spectrum until they lose influence over the DOJ and FBI. It's their weapon of control. So, you nominate someone who is considered radical to make the reals selection (to be named later) seem palatable. All the while, the ad hoc AG starts taking apart the institution, which adds the concept of "time" into the equation so as to force a quick confirmation on the real nominee.

So, who might that be? Devin Nunes maybe? Most AG's are lawyers, but you don't have to be.

There's precedent for that, Orson. The Senate wouldn't decide on Trump's first pick for DNI, so he put Ric Grenell in as an appointment. He wrecked the establishment so badly that they begged Trump to nominate a replacement to get Grenell out of there. That's how we got Ratcliffe in there.
