And no more full blast TV just to hear the friggen dialogue. At first you may hear an echo or a slight delay, your voice may sound different to you, don't panic, your brain will adjust. Two types of laptops, those that are dead and those that will die.
They are designed from the start to be disposable and are more difficult to fix, upgrade, or troubleshoot and use proprietary parts and drivers driving up the costs to maintain. So, if you choose laptops, it requires discipline to regularly do full backups either via the cloud or at home.
So for me, a tablet or something like a Google notebook is fine for portable usage. Some people having to travel here and there have to rely on laptops with their job and life on it.
I pity them.

If there has to be a different type of license clearly marked for young drivers with temporary permits, or there needs to be a clear description of the driver (ie. height/weight, restrictions, etc), there is no reason under the sun there shouldn't be some indicator on any license issued to illegals that, yes, they are permitted to have this license to drive, but they are not US citizens. Bright yellow band around the permit or anything at all to designate they are not legal citizens. Of course, we know why there is no requirement for such a thing...

There really is no wiggle room in the constitution or the statute, congress gave plenary authority over immigration and aliens in this case.

Courts simply have little to no reason to be involved in drawing district lines and their asinine insistence to retain some of the Warren Court's decisions like Baker v. Carr has led the Court into mucking about with what should be state legislative decisions.
The whole majority-minority district nonsense was initially made up by the Court and then buttressed by changes to the VRA during GHWB administration that essentially racially balkanize the US into fiefdoms.

I think Noem lost a lot of the culture warriors with her refusal to fight on the tranny issue.
While I agree that we can't let the backstabbers and squishes in the cabinet, we have to be mindful that Trump's anti-establishment bench isn't the longest - and we're going to need to be reasonable about the personnel he puts in place.
We're not going to agree with everything he does... after all, we're not in his shoes.

There is a book that describes DC bureaucracy and it is A Government of Strangers by Hugh Heclo. Essentially, a new president (not Trump in this case) is always hindered by having to pick a group of relative strangers to political positions inside agencies. Those political picks are then in the situation of being in the middle between the existing civil service and the president's advisors.
The civil service, which is hostile to change and political influence at the best of times, tries to sandbag any new appointee relying on superior knowledge of how the agency works.
At the same time, presidents, to be successful have to have their eyes and ears of loyal presidential aides installed into agencies so as to coordinate real policy in the White House. Trump is better positioned with his do over presidency than most new ones.

I actually disagree to a point. I think Whitmer is a dangerous opponent, presenting herself as a battleground states moderate who has been a victim of right-wing extremism.
I'm not sure how the far Left would react to Fetterman, but the last few times I've seen him speaking, he's improved greatly, and successfully portrays himself as a normal guy/outsider. Still a lot of issues before he could mount a presidential run, but he's more relatable and dangerous than most Dems.

The whole case relied on its wacko interpretation of a predicate federal law to claim a wacko interpretation of violating states laws. Then on top of those problems, there was a Scotus ruling that has every lawfare action against Scotus required to determine where PDT had immunity and where he did not by specific hearings that are reviewable by appellate courts (federal and state).
Under that ruling, Bragg introduced illegal evidence at the trial that involved matters that Scotus has declared as sovereign immunity matters and Merchan never had any hearing regarding those claims before the case went to the jury. So, even under that, the convictions are likely to be overturned in appellate courts for a retrial on that issue by itself.
The whole construct was to get Trump branded as a convict over ridiculous interpretations of law (just as the Enron, Bob McDonnell, and Conrad Black, convictions were gathered by that same putrid group of former DOJ prosecutors under the Lawfare Section of Brookings Institute. BTW, Brookings has Qatar as a big donor.

Once my kids got their drivers licenses, they'd often pick a direction and go. I think the furthest they ever got from home (prior to deciding that they absolutely needed to attend a fucking college 1000 miles away) on their own was about 300 miles.
We just tracked their phone and were chill. Kids need to be able to do things for themselves.

Easier to put him on the President's Intelligence Advisory Board. Those folks get the clearance needed to see what the intel agencies are doing and the info they have collected. They then can advise the President.
Most presidents learn that following the public organization charts will lead to disaster and thus they have to rely more on those folks that do not need confirmation such as WH advisory positions or that are in relative obscurity as asst. and under secretary positions in agencies.
The advisory types can reach outside the WH into agencies with the proper lower level political hires for information and essentially bypass figurehead Secretaries in most departments.
Heads of agencies are more important in those huge departments like Homeland Security which has the Secret Service, ATF, Border Patrol, Customs and Immigration (ICE), etc. These essentially are controlled by the President as Secretaries do not have hire and fire authority for underlings. The President does.
