And this is how they react because they didn't get their way. Do you really want these mentally ill adolescents in charge of anything other than a coffee maker or a mop? Biden-Harris State Department Holds Therapy Session After Trump Win.I voted for Ronald Reagan twice. I voted for Bush The Elder Twice. Imagine how I felt the day after Slick Willie beat Bush. I got up, drove to my job. Did my job, drove home. And spent the evening with the Fabulous, our daughters and pooches. There was no sobbing, no Emotional Therapy Dogs. No crayons. Just living the life I had at the time being the best husband, father and employee I could be. I've always been political but by God I'm not going to let it run my life. There were recitals to attend. Basketball games to watch. Fish fries to be consumed with friends. I didn't hate my fellow American for not voting the way I wanted them to. Never threatened to quit because the people I served were lower than I. Because we differ didn't make me better. But what galls me the most is the pure "Holier than thou" attitude these 'Thought leaders and educators' display in public let alone the faculty lounge. I am not a gynecologist. But, I know a k@n+ when I see one. Can you imagine walking up to a clerk and mock them to their face about their opinion concerning the presidential election? Well if you can't imagine doing that. Let me introduce you to someone who would. Drum roll please........................Ladies and Gentlemen (Sorry, not sorry that there are only 2 sexes and genders) Here is the face of This Is Why You Should SHOVE Trump's Win in the Faces of Kamala Supporters No, you don’t have to be gracious or magnanimous to Democrats right now. Wear your MAGA gear. Shout Trump 2024. We won; they lost. Show no mercy, for you shall receive none. There is no way the liberal mind would have been gracious to us if Kamala had won. They’re too self-righteous and arrogant. Those who are condescending aren’t known for this, and a video made by a retired professor demonstrates why you don’t need to be nice to liberals in the aftermath of this MAGA landslide. I say we walk softly, say what we mean and carry a big stick and use it when necessary. As Buck Throckmorton and Ace covered the following story nicely. People of our age, *29, had parents, relatives and a school system that taught right from wrong, there were consequences for misdeeds and the "Golden Rule". Quite simply you treat another human being the same way you want to be treated. You are no better than the man at the diner cafe counter, the waitress serving that diner, the kid busing tables, the dishwasher or the owner who is slinging hash.
As it should be.

When people on the right started pointing out the danger of "safe spaces" and "cry rooms" and "crayon therapy" in colleges, the "thought leaders" on the right* just laughed and said that the "CONSPIRACY THEORISTS" on the right were over-reacting. All that stuff would end once they hit the "real world".
What a shock. They brought the safe spaces to the real world, just like the "CONSPIRACY THEORISTS" warned. Because when you train people to be weak and dependent, they stay that way without it being trained out of them. *Most of whom are now "Never-Trumpers" because they were never on the right. If they wish to act like demons, they won't get encouragement from me. I have, on occasion, admonished the sinner. But that needs to be done in person with people I have a relationship with and in kindness and humility. I too am a sinner and have fallen far short of the glory of God. I want to be able to pray The Lord's Prayer so I am required to forgive those who have trespassed against me if I expect to be forgiven. The Oregon Republicans in the Legislature tried to do that whole "not show up" to deny a quorum over a couple of laws they felt were worth fighting the supermajority over during Covid (which is still going on in Oregon), and they got penalized for it. One let protesters in during some counter demonstration, and he got seriously penalized over that.
Because Oregon didn't have an impeachment law, they passed that through this election, and now, of course the supermajority can take away the representation of any county or district for the crime of wrong-think. 218 This is an excellent take, with a clear parallel to LoTR: ANALYSIS: TRUE. It Wasn’t an Election. It Was an Intervention. Trump drove so many mad, from the Never Trumpers to the Woke Left, because they destroyed themselves trying to destroy him. Their biggest problem was that they were never fighting the real Trump. They were fighting one they invented, a supervillain whose mere presence could end democracy itself. It’s hard to imagine such smart people losing their critical thinking ability. Power will do that to you, though. No one gives it up willingly. I always felt 9-11 was the date the left and right diverged. The right went in and realised the threat of Islam, but not yet the Deep State with the forever wars and endless grift. Shortly afterwards, the left declared that the greatest threat to humanity was climate change and that rhetoric went into overdrive. And the grifting ramped up there also. Eventually, the left became crazier and crazier. More offended at everything. Comedy died. And eventually I hoped they'd all just die and leave. I talked with a guy from Africa recently, and he said one of the biggest differences he sees here vs there in parenting is that anyone in his village was allowed to be your parent as far as discipline. Mouth off and get out of line? They are perfectly at liberty to slap you upside the head, and if you complain to mommy, she'll thank them for it and then slap YOU up. He disliked the lack of community discipline here. (Which could also explain why African yoots in Europe are having issues; going to a society with less community discipline when you've come from one with heavy community discipline could make them feel free to act out. Culture clash.) I never read Hillary's! book "It takes a village," but in trying to imply we should be more like Africa to implement the globalist communist agenda, I'm pretty sure she left THAT aspect of idealized village life out of the book, haha. The first Trump administration was kind of vicious on friendships, etc.
I was in a mailing list group of graduates from a service academy - there were effers on there who threatened other list members with report to the FBI for supporting Trump DURING the 2016 election. I dumped that group and never looked back. Never again. I got in a big spat with a friend during the 2020 election and we have partially patched it back up. I used to think of him as a non-batshit lefty who I could talk to about politics rationally. But we weren't discussing marginal tax rates anymore he was calling me a Nazi. If you disagree with someone on whether top earners should pay 36% or 40% in income tax, there is a middle ground (maybe 38%?) and there is also room to simply disagree. But really hard to come back from you support a Nazi so you are a Nazi. Posted by: blaster at November 12, 2024 11:24 AM (xhfG9) 126

We were constantly bombarded with reports that we would not know who won the election for days or even weeks. Along side of that we were told multiple times that Trump really had no path to 270 votes in the electoral college because harris was leading in all seven swing states.
And even if he won the EC he would be trounced in the "popular vote" and wold again be selected and not elected and would not have any sort of mandate. 'Morning, Mis Hum
Here's an example of how FEMA, other agencies escape (punishment) ... Government Executive, 'Biden administration soliciting volunteers throughout government to deploy for disaster response' FEMA has said the assignments from other agencies could help ensure an adequate recovery effort. September 1, 2023 (Remember same for the Southern border response?) Nowadays, the 'workforce' is so varied - from feds to contractors to small town volunteers - oversight becomes..ah...difficult at best, intentionally or not. IIRC, the FEMA response for Hawaii was absolute bedlam, too. In fact, the agency set up this page to quell the rumors: FEMA dot gov/disaster: Hawaii (DR--4724-HI): Rumor Response and Frequently Asked Questions. Going back in time, also 9/11 NYC response of multi-agency volunteers, etc. for sampling, site control and more. And, East Palestine, OH, multi-agency response, contractors, etc. Too many Chiefs, so in lieu of Controlled Incident Command, responses are disintegrating to 'Who's on First?' and warring factions. All, imho. Posted by: L - If they'll do it with you... at November 12, 2024 11:29 AM (NFX2v) 160

Because she didn't really mean action by hyper-local individuals, she meant the federal government which is about as un-village-like as you can get. In other words, she was BSing. Posted by: Oddbob at November 12, 2024 11:29 AM (/y8xj) 162

Posted by: Nick in Tallahassee ====== If you look for outliers in schools having professors voting Republican, political science and econ are the disciplines in the social sciences with the highest number of Republicans. Small and less that it was 10-15 years ago but then again, so are STEM programs with a lot more 'scientists' identifying with the left for money, power, and a disdain for Christians. The more empirical a department is, the more likely rigor and logic outweighs muh feelz and that in part is why law is increasing turning left as muh feelz is replacing objective analysis of the law. The person to blame for this mental breakdown is Obama. Over and done.
When the left got their God-Emperor, and all his promises, and he DIDN'T change the world into paradise, the left figured it couldn't be because Obama was flawed. No, there had to be bad people working against him. And those people destroyed paradise. That's where the hate comes from. Sure, there's some from the 2000 election, but Obama brought it to a boil. Old hotness: "Sure, Jan." New hotness: "Sure, Chris." He's completely unsuited to it. The reason Rogan works (so I've been told) is that he doesn't think he knows everything, and just shuts up to let his guest talk. A dinosaur media denizen like Wallace won't be able to do that, because, you see, he's a sooper genius in every field, and will interrupt his "guests" to tell the why they're wrong for not seeing the wisdom of his pov. Abortion? Ignore the cause, eliminate the consequence. Crime? Defund the police and decarcerate the criminals. Income inequality? Mandate equal outcomes. Competency? Replace it with DEI. Etc. Etc.

We should go about closing the border, deporting all illegals, implementing voter integrity measures, laying off massive amounts of federal employees, and prosecuting all those who broke the law, including the Bidens. “All we were asking for is an enforcement mechanism to force Biden to use the authority he had to secure the border. We would have been happy to strengthen that authority. Think about it from their standpoint.
"We spent the first year of this administration orchestrating America's most humiliating moment since Vietnam. We spent the last three years committing a bunch of crimes to perpetuate a war in Eastern Europe that's left us all spattered in gore. Then we spent the last year appeasing Iran after Israel launched a war against one of its puppets, for committing one of the two worst atrocities in the last several generations. We are all world-historical villains. Now, the guy our gangster regime removed in a coup and then attempted to imprison and kill has, against all odds, returned to office. He plans to unwind these terrible things we've done. A lot of very bad things are going to come out of that, and we can't hide our responsibility for them, because we never in a million years thought this could happen." I might want to see a therapist, too. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at November 12, 2024 12:03 PM (7oYYI) 381

>>> One of our west-coast friends was telling everyone that he was going to stop in Utah on his way home to attend a "Mormon Women for Kamala" election watch party. We haven't heard a peep from him since.
Emmie, there's a swath of LDS that are proud Democrats, going back to the pioneer days. The republican party was founded to rid America of the "twin pillars of barbarism," slavery and polygamy. Guess which religion practiced polygamy? But later on, the LDS leaders wanted to integrate into both political parties so they couldn't be taken advantage of. There are urban legends of leaders literally splitting a town down the middle and saying "everyone on this side is republican, this side democrats." It's hard to verify but it makes for a good yarn. It's also why you can have Orrin Hatch and Harry Reid belong to the same religion, and to LDS people it made sense. https://tinyurl.com/2razcrxp SO MANY modern LDS became never trumpers because they are still bitter dignified Mittens never made it to the presidency and a boorish, tacky, vulgar man like Trump did. So I could totally see someone throwing a Kamala party, and it's full of Mormon republicans AND democrats. Posted by: LizLem at November 12, 2024 12:03 PM (Eng1Z) 385
In the early part of 2016 I thought Trump couldn't run the country. By the end of the campaign he was the first candidate, since Reagan, I had no qualms voting for. His first term was something of a mixed record: some self-inflicted, some plandemic caused, and most of it due to the deep state trying to take him out. Still it was the most consequential presidency in my life time as it cracked the Uniparty's back. The Uniparty was able to right itself in 2020 with a stolen election. It seems Trump used that time well and used it to great effect in the 2024 election. He very well could finish rendering the Uniparty ineffective. He is facing an array of entrenched enemies whose continued political power depends on his failure ; I expect a rough four years. May he beat them all.

Two things. I remember Barbara Bush saying on the limo ride with the Clintons to the inauguration, "Seeing them, I knew the best man did not win."
Second, I wish I could remember who said, "To defeat your enemy, you have to fight dirtier than he does." When are conservatives going to get over the "We can't sink to their level" or "We need to be above such things." The left has no problem with fighting dirty, they're getting dirtier all the time. We would feel that right now if Kamala was elected. If we felt she was a huge blow to democracy, our rights, the economy, how would we want her to responded to our anxiety? I always felt 9-11 was the date the left and right diverged. The right went in and realised the threat of Islam, but not yet the Deep State with the forever wars and endless grift. Shortly afterwards, the left declared that the greatest threat to humanity was climate change and that rhetoric went into overdrive. And the grifting ramped up there also. Eventually, the left became crazier and crazier. More offended at everything. Comedy died. And eventually I hoped they'd all just die and leave. Posted by: Stateless at November 12, 2024 11:20 AM (jvJvP) The communists have always had the climate left hand to get in those unconvinced by the political right hand. This post-election behavior is an outgrowth of turning citizens into juveniles. People on the left overwhelmingly want a government that will take care of them. They want a father or mother figure leader who they feel cares about them.
I regard a government looking out for me like Frodo seeing the eye of Sauron. I want a government to leave me alone so I can look after myself.
