Online Conservatives Push Trump-Aligned Senator Rick Scott for Majority Leader As Thune Tells Online Conservatives to Shut Up and Let the Oligarchs Make Their Choice

Tucker Carlson
@TuckerCarlson

What the hell is going on in the US Senate? Hours after Donald Trump wins the most conclusive mandate in 40 years, Mitch McConnell engineers a coup against his agenda by calling early leadership elections in the senate. Two of the three candidates hate Trump and what he ran on. One of them, John Cornyn, is an angry liberal whose politics are indistinguishable from Liz Cheney's. The election is Wednesday, it's by secret ballot, and it will determine whether or not the new administration succeeds. Rick Scott of Florida is the only candidate who agrees with Donald Trump. Call your senator and demand a public endorsement of Rick Scott. Don't let McConnell get away with it again.

If these c*cks*ckers pick another anti-Trump liberal establishment "Republican" to subvert Trump's presidency, I don't know what I'll do.

Before reading this, you should know the background with recess appointments. Democrats blocked Trump's appointees. Now, presidents usually filled blocked appointments with recess appointments, appointed when the Senate was in recess. These temporary appointments can serve without Senate confirmation for a year.

Guess what McConnell did? He never allowed the Senate to technically go into recess. Oh, they recess all the time, but McConnell schemed to have one single "Republican" senator open what's called a pro-forma session -- that is a fake session -- every single day and then immediately close the session. Since the Senate was "doing business" every day, Trump had his appointees blocked by Democrats first, and then blocked by McConnelll and the cuck caucus second. They were working together. Blatantly.

Rick Scott's campaign to become the next Senate GOP Majority Leader is gaining traction, fueled by a vocal online surge. The momentum grew on Sunday when Elon Musk took to X to endorse Scott, declaring, "Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader!" Musk's post instantly added visibility to Scott's campaign, with MAGA supporters amplifying the message across social media.

Scott's public support for President-elect Trump's call to use recess appointments--a move Trump deems essential for swift confirmations--has tapped into the conservative online base, building more backing from senators with influential online followings. "100% agree," Scott posted in response to Trump's stance. "I will do whatever it takes to get your nominations through as quickly as possible."

Scott's online campaign is also gaining strength from influential senators who have joined in backing him. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul have each publicly pledged to support Scott in his leadership bid. Their endorsements are shared and discussed widely on social media, elevating Scott's visibility in a tight leadership contest.

While Scott faces stiff competition from fellow Republicans John Cornyn and John Thune, his alignment with Trump's recess appointment demands and the social media surge could reshape his chances. Even as reports suggest Trump has yet to endorse any candidate, Scott is hopeful the president-elect will lend him public support, which would likely amplify his rising popularity.

Trump says he must have recess appointments. Only Scott has agreed to this.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner. Sometimes the votes can take two years, or more. This is what they did four years ago, and we cannot let it happen again. We need positions filled IMMEDIATELY! Additionally, no Judges should be approved during this period of time because the Democrats are looking to ram through their Judges as the Republicans fight over Leadership. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THANK YOU!

You'll notice that McConnell called for a secret vote. That's because "Republican" senators are about to sell their voters out, again, and want no record of their vote.

In a video below the fold, Benny Johnson says that some senators who would "shock" you are supporting the McConnell Cuck Caucus because of private promises of grants of power. Like... Ted Cruz.

But this vote doesn't have to be secret -- we must have a vote to make it public.

And then we know anyone voting to keep it secret plans to vote for the McConnell "pets," Thune or Cornyn, as Benny Johnson reports they are called.

Jenny Beth Martin
@jennybethm

For Rick Scott to become Sen Majority Leader, candidate forum & vote for Senate Majority Leader must be open, not secret. Otherwise, senators will say one thing publicly & vote another in secret.

Call your GOP Senators at 202-224-3121 to say:

1. Stream candidate forum on @X

2. Make the vote public, not secret

3. Vote for @SenRickScott Majority Leader

I like the idea of a streamed candidate forum.

I'm in touch w/ Senate side advocating for Rick Scott. They say an open vote is unlikely. It is best for you to ask GOP Senators to vote for @SenRickScott & to tell publicly who they will & who they did cast their vote.

It's important that as I give action items, I give the best action items for you to get the result we desire - Senate Leadership that will support & respect the election's mandate. As such, I'm giving this update to keep you informed as you take action.

Anyone refusing a public vote is doing so because they intend to betray the public.

Trump has named Tom Hohman as his choice for Border Czar. He will be unnacceptable to Democrats and the McConnell Cuck Caucus because he actually wants to enforce the border.

President-elect Donald Trump has appointed former ICE Director Tom Homan as his administration's "border czar," entrusting him with a comprehensive role that covers the southern border, northern border, coastal areas, and air border security. Trump announced Homan's appointment on Truth Social late Sunday, emphasizing Homan's deep experience and commitment to border control. Trump's move strategically sidesteps the need for Senate confirmation, a likely contentious process given Homan's longstanding alignment with Trump's immigration policies.

"I've known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders," Trump stated, highlighting that Homan would oversee all deportations of illegal immigrants back to their countries of origin. Homan's position will make him a key advisor to the president on border security and deportation operations, amplifying Trump's commitment to enforcing immigration laws with renewed rigor.

Homan recently appeared on Fox News's Sunday Morning Futures, where he outlined Trump's plans for targeting illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds first. "It's going to be the worst first," Homan stated, emphasizing a "humane operation" that he considers necessary for national security. Trump has pledged to conduct one of the largest deportation efforts in U.S. history, targeting up to 25 million undocumented immigrants, according to campaign promises.

As conservatives rise up to demand that Scott (or anyone in alignment with the President) be selected as Majority Leader, McConnell's attack dog and protoge John Thune tells us to shut our mouths because our input is "not helpful" to the Cuck Caucus's efforts to rig this.

"We are not pleased" to have our constituents' weigh in on this choice, says the Cuck Caucus:

wearenotpleased.jpg

I saw a video of Thune saying it's "not helpful" to have actual voters weigh in on this. He demanded that Senators be allowed to make this choice without our input.

People are pushing Thune's and Cornyn's previous betrayals.

Thune is a weakling who believes, and then repeats, every lie the Marxist propaganda media pushes:

Senator John Thune
@SenJohnThune

Kimberley & I are heartbroken to learn that a U.S. Capitol Police officer has died heroically defending the Capitol against despicable violence. We're praying for the officer's family & for all the members of the @CapitolPolice, who are mourning the loss of their fellow officer.

Cornyn similarly begged Biden to turn the whole of government to chasing down people present at January 6th.

Thune also demanded that Trump withdraw from the election in October 2016, presumably after the "pussy grab" tape:

thunewithdraw.jpg

He just deleted this tweet. He's not just a cuck; he's sneaky.

But then, all cucks are sneaky. Their kink is a shameful one, born of cowardice.

I have a very modest defense of the secret ballot:

It's in the interests of everyone to keep things smooth in the Senate to minimize internal antagonism.

Is that out of balance with other needs? I don't know, but it does raise the idea of the secret ballot for leadership out of pure skullduggery.

Sen. John Thune
June 5, 2020
On May 25, 2020, George Floyd died at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer. This senseless death left Americans reeling, most of all because there have been too many George Floyds. And Breonna Taylors. And Ahmaud Arberys. As a nation, we need to work to ensure that what happened that day in Minneapolis never happens again, and that the perpetrators of crimes like this one are held accountable and brought to justice. We also need to acknowledge how deeply many of our fellow citizens are suffering in the wake of George Floyd’s senseless death.

74 61 Glenn Beck floated a crazy theory that Vance as VP could be declared president of the senate, since John Adams was, and can rule over it instead of someone who the senate votes to lead them.

I assume this rule has been changed, that only an active member of the senate can lead it? Because otherwise the dems would have done it long ago. Clinton would have had Gore lead the senate when things flipped red, as would have Obama had Biden lead it, or Biden have Kamala lead it. I'm assuming it's a fun theory that could never happen.

I'm happy to have the reprieve from total insanity however long it lasts (fours years, or impeachment and conviction, whichever comes first).

But I don't think the GOP has been transformed or that the country has realigned.

Doesn't mean nothing good will happen. But my expectations are fairly modest at this point.

Well, the VP was supposed to assume the "powers and duties" (I think that's the wording) of the President. When that situation first arose with the death of WH Harrison, his VP, John Tyler, insisted (correctly, I think) that he be sworn in as President, and not merely assume some kind of "acting President" role. Later VPs followed that precedent, until the 25th Amendment finally made the pratice the official law of the land.

190 Doof - Put simply, Scott knows what time it is. Thune and Cornyn do not.

Thune could earn the position today by giving a press conference where he admits to his previous positions being wrong, and pledging to support Trump's goals. But he won't, because he is supposed to be the deep state power to keep Trump from succeeding.

Scott got my support after 2022 when he publicly criticized the fact that McConnell would not allow him to spend the Senate funds for viable candidates. Then ran against McConnell.

He is the best person for the job.

But I still expect Thune to win, which means the grassroots needs to hold a primary challenge over his head as a sword of Damocles. South Dakota is a small state, it doesn't take a lot of money to create a massive problem for him.

212 Don’t confuse me being a realist in this space for excitement.

If there is any excitement at all, it would be because McConnell does not want Scott. He wants Thune, and I am tired of McConnell doing this type of thing. He is the poster child for the establishment who is holding THEIR breath waiting for the Trump wave to pass so it can go back to normal. We have to make every inroad we can in ensuring his ilk understands we aren’t going back to ascots.

Lisa Monaco was Robert Mueller’s chief of staff when he ran the FBI. She was one of Obama’s closest aides—she participated in secret Situation Room meetings with John Brennan in 2016 to concoct Russia collusion hoax.

After Trump won, she became an outspoken critic of Donald Trump

During her Senate confirmation hearing—she was confirmed by 48 GOP senators with Paul and Cruz opposing—she did not face a single question about Russia collusion hoax.

Then
@JohnCornyn

She immediately opened an investigation into Trump for Jan 6 and later worked with NARA officials to fabricate a documents case.

238 Willowish, this from Romeo13: dysfunction is contagious. Other peoples problems DO become your problems

In the "guess my family does not actually have problems atall" category, our kids own a nice suburban house in a well-known Front Range city that is heavily military. They're assigned away for a time at the moment, so had an agent sublet their place. Tenant is military, and for whatever reason kept his guns in the garage despite several well-made hiding holes and a digital thumbprint safe being made available to him. As a Veterans Day salute, miscreants broke into the garage and relieved him of those guns.

It's even mentioned in the lease that "door locks do not satisfy the safe storage law," but the main concern at the moment is that by filing police and insurance reports, tenant may be admitting guilt and inviting charges for improper storage. My personal concern is that the address may go on the police "trouble list," and it's not at all a traditional bad neighborhood.

Owner (my kid) strongly suspects moving contractors of keeping a holiday shopping list. Sort of a veterans' benefit.

Being subject to a direct election as opposed to a state legislature is much different and was never the intent of our founders and framers. Election of senators was very carefully and thoughtfully discuss. See Madison’s notes for some perspective. The Federalist and the Anti Federalist papers for other. Well, that's way too much to hope for, but it will represent a slowdown or temporary halt in the excessive corruption and abuse of power. I know a lot of people really like to sneer at this but we honestly are not voting our way out of this. I am fine with euphoria and happiness, but we're not even close to being done with it.

It was a bad decision when it came out, and worse was the consideration of Red Flag laws, which thankfully went nowhere.

And I am not claiming n-dimensional chess, here, but this is the win we ended up with, reigning in the ATF.

In a 6-3 opinion written by Justice Clarence Thomas, the court struck a 2019 regulation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, saying a bump stock did not fit the definition of an illegal machine gun because it still fires just one shot for each pull of a trigger.

Pulling from his team's experience plus key allies on X to pull strings in the back ground (or release false news to force people to take a stand) is how to do it.

And yeah, Trump should put a czar in place over every department and just forgo getting the Senate to approve his appointees if they are going to play games like last time. Then he can just lend the czar his authority as his go between.

362 If Ron Johnson or Tom Cotton becomes the compromise, I'd be fine with that. But no scumbag uniparty types, like Thune or Cornyn. Those fucks.

364 Truth be told, the vote should happen again after January seating of the new Senate.

Screw these lapdog bastards.

Posted by: Huck Follywood at November 11, 2024 04:09 PM (A3OTM)

365 Trump should make it clear he will go public with his war on the uniparty Senate caucus. Name names. Veto shit with their names attached to it. Primary them.

366 Texans maybe could write their STATE senator and explain that Cornyn lacks the confidence of Texas voters. They need to threaten Cornyn with impeachment and recall.
Cornyn is involved in shady real estate with illegal invaders, and that is cause for impeachment.
Hold that over his head and he might not resign, but he might at least become a meek little mouse.

367 Call my (NC) Senators? That's a good one since Tillis is one of mine and the other is unknown because he doesn't say or do shit. Oh, they don't give a shit what
peasant constituents say anyway.

368 If the senate vote is secret, all those who voted for Scott should make that fact public.

369 Not too long ago, the average Leftist hated the Turtle, aka Mitch the Bitch, because he was impeding the Leftist agenda, particularly the courts. Now, MAGA hates him for impeding the Trump agenda. What agenda do you think old Mitch is really working for?

370 t's in the interests of everyone to keep things smooth in the Senate to minimize internal antagonism.

Is that out of balance with other needs? I don't know, but it does raise the idea of the secret ballot for leadership out of pure skullduggery.

If it functioned at all you might have a point but it's been a uni-party snake pit for several 29 year units.

Shootouts and replacements FTW

371 I as a private citizen with no power, no privilege, position, money, or influence have a right to the security that comes with meekly making my statement of who I support quietly in a room, by myself without concern of any intimidation.

The people to who I offer power, privilege, position, money and influence in the matters of the government do NOT. They are answerable to me. Not me to them.

Fuck these cunts (I moved to Australia, that's a word that is now in my vernacular, but I am using it now as an American saying Cunt, not an Ozzy saying it, so FUCK YOU CUNTS!)
