Be On the Look Out: Many Ballots Have a Small Mark for Harris Already "Accidentally" Marked on the Ballot

If you fill in the bubble for Trump, the computer might -- probably will -- also detect a vote for Harris, and discard your ballot as an "overvote."

Look for a tiny mark in the Harris bubble. If you see one, lodge a complaint and demand a clean ballot.

"WHAT!?" I gasped.
I said, "Are you telling everyone this as they walk in?"
She said, "We're trying to."

The way this ballot scam works is that the dot in the box for Harris is covered up if you vote for her, but if you vote for Trump it counts as an over-voted ballot so it be marked as spoiled and won't count

Obviously you can't vote for Harris and Trump for president, so if a ballot already has a little dot marked for Harris, your vote gets tossed.

One theory - my theory - holds that it was possibly a national signal to those that were waiting for one.

That is the ultimate danger, but rather than being "tossed," and jurisdictions differ, I imagine it is set aside for adjudication of voter intent.

Recall that this process came into the lexicon in 2020 where ballots were being flagged for adjudication, which conveniently ended up being adjudicated in a lopsided outcome for Biden, as I recall.

The ballots were printed on the wrong size paper to go into the machines properly, the way things should align on the ballot were off, the way they folded in the envelopes, you could tell it it was a D or R ballot from the outside, and could toss ballots without opening them...

69 By the way, Scantron is basically the machine for tabulating results. And they are amazingly finicky about formatting, layout, etc.

When I had to deal with Scantron machines, the bar code used to set the machine up so it would scan properly had to match the bar code on the side of the paper being tabulated. Get someone in who doesn't know those machines and it's a huge problem. Also, Scantrons are very expensive. If people wonder why counties may be loathe to get new ones, well, expense is the main reason.

We do get to review our ballot on the machine and then print it out, and are able to review it one more time before inserting it into the counting machine. After that, I suppose anything can happen.

82 Much different than our machines in most of NJ. Each party is laid out vertically on the touch screen. You make your choices. The result is printed on the ticket you received when you signed in. When you hit "ok", the ticket is displayed in a window with your choices printed. If they are correct, you touch the okay button, the ticket is sucked back into the machine and a screen displays a prompt that indicates your vote is complete. A paper trail is generated in the event of a recount.

You walk in, go to the lady at the table, say you are here to vote, she asks for the first 3 digits of your last name, then asks you your first name, then verifies your address, pulls up your registration with your signature on file, flips the tablet, makes you sign under your on file signature, flips the tablet back, does the signature match, prints out a ballot receipt, makes you sign the receipt, hands you a blank ballot and ballot receipt, you walk up to the lady at the voting booth, she takes the ballot receipt, you walk in, stick your blank ballot in, you make your choices, click print ballot, you inspect your printed ballot to make sure the choices match, then press cast ballot, and walk out.

So what happened...

A person named Thomas Bender entered the voting center, his signature matched his on file signature, he was handed a ballot, he walked into a voting booth with a ballot, he cast a ballot and walked out of the booth without a ballot.

I mean, theoretically there are ways to fortify this kind of voting scheme, but I would think this would be very hard to do.

Yes and no. Ballot images have to be retained from the printed out ballot scanner but the risk is for those images to be altered. Ideally, the paper ballots that were imaged were kept as well. Due to demonstrated past problems with the system due to Abram's litigation ironically, that actually gives leeway for the courts to order preservation of the paper ballots.

FWIW, Fulton County 2020 paper scanned ballots are still under a court preservation order that True the Vote is pursuing to get a look at them.

I think a lot of the TDS now is simply hysteria ramped up. Basically no one with a sane mind really thinks Trump is the second coming of mustache man and that includes most Democrats. They may not like him but like Reagan in his second term, will already be plotting a comeback.

There are tons of other sounds you can layer together to make your own mix, as well as meditations, etc. There are meditations for daytime and not for sleep as a well. There are definitely some woke things on it, I just ignore those. You can even listen to someone read a 1930s encyclopedia to you to bore you right to sleep. We are here, too. For weeks I thought the only flips would be WV and MT.

If Moreno (R) beats Brown (D-inc) in OH, that means there's a bit less chance that Murkowski and Collins will rule the world.

In thinking about all the politicians I've hated during my lifetime, Murkowski is a dark horse possibility for #1. Arlen Spector and Harry Reid are also possibilities, but it's hard to maintain redhot hate for the dead indefinitely.

I sure hope AK ditches their ranked choice voting system, which has been Murkowski's lifeline.

237 In case anyone is curious about election day voting so far:

Florida is still very good for Trump. Almost 1.4 million votes in so far, R - 46%, D - 26%. Not as great as it was early morning, but understandable once the pre-work rush is done. The gap will probably continue to shrink, but may expand again after 5-6 pm. Sure, FL isn't a swing state, but still good to know. Besides, I think an abortion bill is on the ballot, so it could be considered a proxy for the Harris campaign.

Maricopa County (Arizona) also very good. 41% R, 20% D. Between this and the early vote strongly being R, Arizona looks very comfortable. Not sure if it's enough to drag Lake across the finish line, but I suppose that depends on the number of ticket splitters.

Nevada has been less impressive. Dems took the lead in Clark County voting. Rs still lead in Washoe. Not sure how strong rurals are. Given the large shift in early voting results in Nevada, I think Trump is ok, but this isn't looking good for the Senate unfortunately.

Haven't found any reliable info out of Penn, Wisc, Ga, or NC.

Agree about the poor design but the technology is the same thing as cellphone text messaging--prone to errors especially if someone using fingers prior to you messed up the screen. Touchscreens can be deformed by people punching out a choice over time or by debris they leave on the touchscreen pad from their nasty fingers.

Also, rurals across Georgia have already passed their 2020 numbers. Some were at 130% before election day.

All voting machines should be shipped to Hawaii, and trebucheted into the lava lake on Kilauea. There is no reason at all why any election cannot be done with paper ballots, hand-counted.

Depends on the state, if it is an absentee ballot, often they allow those to be 'cured' if the voter comes back in to cure it. Election day voting, the polling administrator has the power to remove the ballot in most places and then substitute a new one.

That requires administrative access and is one of the things that cheating places were doing is to float the passwords around so any asshole poll worker (actual covert operators) could 'accidentally' wipe files, logs, etc. while leaving the vote intact. Thus, plausible deniability by spreading it around that anyone could have done it. Whoops.

DU does two things, I think. 1- They're a little behind on breaking news, so it's a dissemination system from Dem "thought leaders" to the masses, and you can often see the mental Overton Window shift as the new message takes hold.

2- They seem to float talking points and ideas there to test them before they're released in more mainstream venues. "Weird" was adopted, "Tonic Masculinity" was not. "Sane Washing" has had mixed success.

I think the real resistance is coming from the GOP and Dem uniparty types that like the cover for specific cheating purposes and all the lies that the voting machine companies have told to the public is simply to disguise the fact that electronic voting is inherently unsafe and that a large number of computers across the US administered by dolts and party operators is not a secure way of voting.

We would be better off with the old party ballots as in the 1890's where you grabbed a donkey ballot or a elephant ballot and cast it. I prefer the paper, optical scanner with mandatory paper retention for recounts.

Our ballots have always been a tiny piece of paper with the 4 to 6 local candidates and a box or circle. You check one and you're done.

Eh, was Red before 2020-2022. More purplish. Ditto for Cobb County. Both counties were turned as a specific op by the Dems prior to the 2020 election. In Georgia, there is no party registration so whatever you voted in the last primary is assumed to be your party. But, a lot of people in such counties may be voting Dem in a primary due to local races. Simply mark it as a datapoint and move on. Not dispositive of anything.

FWIW, Gwinnett is one of those really mixed up ethnic makeup with Korean districts, Salvadoran, etc. White may be at plurality or a very slight majority of voters. Fewer blacks by percentage than Fulton or DeKalb. More Hispanics and Asians.

Fulton is Deep Blue as is DeKalb.
