It is nice to see the people savers saving a dipshit.

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man who was pinned to a tree on Bennett’s Creek Lane in Suffolk about 20 feet above the ground was rescued Monday, Suffolk Fire & Rescue said.

The man was rescued from the tree in the 5900 block of Bennett’s Creek Lane after a tree branch that had become tangled in his safety gear pinned him, Suffolk Fire & Rescue said.

We knew it. We just didn't have great proof of it. MushHead hates us.

Let 's get worked up about something that will make us feel useful.

Can music be sustainable?
Music has a climate problem - and these bands are doing something about it!

I've mentioned before how Coldplay was the first band to set a goal of cutting their tour's carbon footprint by 50%. According to their latest update, they've cut their emissions by 59% in the last two years, compared to their previous tour, through reducing air travel and even using a power-generating dancefloor: similar to that of a concert venue I reported on a few months ago in Glasgow, Scotland, that’s heated and cooled using the stored body heat of concertgoers.

It’s time for an update, though, because there are a lot more efforts afoot to curb the emissions from the music industry and call for climate action at a broader level. This week, the whole newsletter focuses on the music industry - the good news, the not-so-good news, and my top inspiration. Read on!

Is there anybody at the White House with an ounce of common sense? MushHead is out to pasture. And the San Francisco Headhunter? Headlining a concert perhaps.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said Tuesday that his government is preparing “countermeasures” in response to evidence of a growing North Korean presence in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, demanding of his Cabinet a “heightened sense of vigilance.”

He made the comments after holding a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on Tuesday in which the Ukrainian leader said the two agreed to “intensify contacts at all levels” and cooperate to limit North Korean influence in the war.

I read. I snickered. Genius Award Winner.

A driver crashed into a parked car while performing an ‘incredibly dangerous’ maneuver in the middle of a crowd of people.

Onlookers had their phones out to film two BMWs doing ‘doughnuts’ around a cluster of people at an industrial estate in Swindon, Wiltshire.

The stunt leaves distinctive circular tire marks on the ground due to friction from the cars rotating.

But this time it also left an member of the public with minor injuries after the rear of a red BMW driven by Milosz Sobiechowski, 22, clipped a parked car.

No mention of the amount of fossil fuels consumed to make the world wide web Genius Award Winner.

The ONT Is Always Looking Out For YouTM (Especially you Morons at least age 29)

My Guns Don't Suit Me Anymore
As an older shooter, your accuracy is not what it used to be with your favorite pistol.

The Problem
As an older shooter, you are becoming disgusted with your shooting these days. Your accuracy is not what it used to be with your favorite pistol. Your sights are hard to see, and your ability to hold still is a dream of what was, but is never to be again. And your trigger seems to have a mind of its own, breaking sometimes before you are ready for it, and other times seeming so hard to move that you thought you had forgotten to release the safety. You are wondering if a new gun will help, or if you are at the stage in life where you should hang up your guns and find something else to do for fun as opposed to frustration.

The Solution
The likelihood of your pistol changing all by itself is far from realistic. The reality of what you are experiencing is a product of two things: time and adaptability.

Kickers can't make the rosters of NFL teams nowadays without being 75% from 55 yards. I think some NFL kickers now are higher percentage from outside 40 yards distance than inside. This is a huge performance improvement from prior eras in the NFL, and without any rule changes.

LOL. Both of the burned ballot boxes had "devices" nearby with "Free Gaza" on them. An earlier attempt to burn a ballot box in Vancouver, WA had a device nearby with both "Free Gaza" and "Free Palestine" on it.

The cops think that one person did all three arsons or attempted arsons - he was driving an old Volvo, which as we all know is the car usually driven by MAGA supporters.

Given how inept the perp was, and how much police resources are going into the case, I'd expect an arrest soon.

we have clearly found market penetration saturation. Once producers ran out of things that consumers may oncehave vaguely considered good with pumpkin spice, it became imperative to add it to everything else, including things that are patently offensive, in the hope that a conditioned market will try it, at least to find out how terrible it is.

I will be getting evaluated at UTSW next Monday, then driving down to Houston on Tuesday to be evaluated at MD Anderson starting on Wednesday. They have recommended that I stay in Houston for about a week to have testing done.

While in Houston we will be staying with my BFF from high school and she is going to watch Rebecca while I am getting tests run. Paul's cousin will also be helping out with Rebecca when my friend can't watch her.

They are starting me out at UTSW with their chief surgical oncologist; MD Anderson is starting me out with an Internal Medicine MD. Not sure what to make of these 2 different approaches....

COMMON GROUND? The only common ground that exists for the Desperate and Deliberately Evil sponsored (AND DEFENDED!) by the LIBs is one where YOU: Normal People, are inherited by the earth -- because the dead collect no benefits.

COMMON GROUND? Prey/Pray to the Crocodile/ctHARRIS, like Col. Sanders that she eats you LAST!

How do they plan on warping the solar wind from one of the apex's...

-----------

It would be at the L1 point, in between Mars and the Sun, and station keeping would be required. The idea is just enough magnetic field to deflect the solar wind enough to lower the stripping rate of Mars atmosphere to some acceptable level.

Her sense of the hilariousness of pumping a few torpedos into a truant's household, which imposed unmeetable strains on that household's finances because the breadwinner(s) likely got fired, could not make payments for rent and whatever else, and then were turned out onto the street, was diabolical, nay, evil.

And then to become giddy saying that, damage done, she could undo the charges with another stroke of her pen, took things to evil ^ squared.

The final boot to the next was her motivation -- not out of concern for the scholastic welfare of the truant -- but because the absent body from its seat would deprive CA's education establishment of per capita attendance revenue. And, Boy, Howdy! was she ever on board for maximizing CA's revenue take(s)!

Yes we have advisers in Ukraine, but not in the front lines.
As for the volunteers, they are individuals who went there on there own.
They DO NOT represent NATO, any government, or any country that they are from.
Where's the North Koreans were sent there by their government to represent NK.
Not sure why this is so difficult for you to grasp or why you incorrectly draw a moral equivalent between it and individuals volunteering.

Having to balance being a mother to two teenagers and navigating the shifting media landscape, all while preventing World War III, has Kelly spread thin, but she could never predict that the nation’s hallowed halls would soon become a demonic battleground for good versus evil.

Chainsaw engines are high RPM, low torque beasties. The washing machine engines putt along at about 1500 RPM, and don't make much noise doing it. They aren't that hard to find. With a little creative bodging, a vertical-shaft Briggs and Stratton engine from an old rotary mower could be coupled up to a wringer washer. It would be excellent if you could find a heavy cast-iron flywheel for it, though.

The withdrawal part of the touch screen on first ATM I went to was not working.

The second one gave me a single $100.00 bill when I want 5 $20.00s.

When I went into the bank to get 5 $20s for the $100 they told me they needed my debit card. I graciously explained I don't have debit card with this bank precisely because of crap like this and the fact I have a mortgage with them should be sufficient to perform this most basic banking service.

I got an eye roll and teller scrum that last 5 minutes.

When the teller came back I was informed I had to show ID. This time I graciously explained this was insane. The teller gave me another eye roll and in her best bureaucratic voice snipped, "We just can be exchanging bills willy-nilly."

Finally defeated I handed over my ID and rolled my eyes. The final aggravation to this whole crap was when the teller in her best chirpy voice went, "Thank you banking with XYZ CU where we strive to treat you like family." Yeah right, the Manson Family.

Only way Trump wins is by taking an unexpected state. But I think he may very well.

Essentially that means they can generate any ballot count they need given sufficient time, which they already have said that if you are expecting a winner on election night, you f**k right off with that.

That said, it doesn't affect Trump at all. He wanted the states to decide instead of the government, and it doesn't really matter what his wife thinks about the issue. She's perfectly fine to have her own opinion. He's man enough to deal with it either way.

*************

That's true and that's why I said that the GOP needs to be **forced** to make these changes. There are too many like WI's Senate Majority Leader Voss who aren't interested in making these changes and who should be replaced with someone who will push these reforms through.

556 I just wrapped up watching Kamala's speech. My take is it was mostly a recap of things she has already mentioned such as price controls, screwing up the housing market, giving illegals citizenship, 24x7 drive through abortions, handing out cash left and right, and going all in on diminishing US sovereignty internationally. She didn't out right say it in this speech but she sure seems ready to go after the SCOTUS. I also came away from the speech wondering if I am included when she squawked about being a president for all Americans. Basically it was her stump speech performance but this time with the White House in the background.

Something else came clear to me is the cheering sounds of her supporters when compared to the sound of a Trump audience. Trump's audience covers all vocal ranges equally while Kamala's is heavily biased to the Alto and Soprano ranges. In other words, my ear, based on the sound of her rallies, is telling me that Kamala's core support is a sea of girl power estrogen.

557 As was noted upstream, Pa has over 700k of what it calls, inactive voter registrations as part of its total voter roll, so they have a cushion of nearly a million votes to fortify the election.

*********

Michigan has 16k voters on its rolls who are over 100 years old. The Social Security Agency says that there are only 2k citizens in Michigan who are alive as of the last time they updated this file (which was recently, though I don't know the exact date).

Those 14k dead voters will be voting this year if the Dems need them.

I didn't watch her speech and have heard very little of her other remarks, but what I have seen - her responses to questions seem more like randomly strung together pre-memorized talking points, rather than verbalizing coherent thoughts. Sometimes not even relevant to the question.

Kind of like John Gill's speech in Star Trek TOS - don't recall episode name - the one where they beamed down to a planet where the people were NAZIs - I think the title was 'Balance of Power'?

Dad would agree wholeheartedly. He is an independent guy very frustrated by his physical limitations at 88. Stuck in rehab now because of circumstances and he's trying to be able to walk again.

To be honest don't trust those caring for a senior, you really need to keep an eye on what's going on. After the hospital let him develop 2 bedsores the rehab place took 13 days to get him on an air mattress that was prescribed. That was 8 days after I got there and started asking about it.

Yes. If she wins and keeps the Senate, they will not miss this chance to A) kill the filibuster and B) pack SCOTUS. Away with those bothersome Amendments, such as the First, Second, and Fourth.

583 Good morning, insomaniacals! I got up to hit the head, crawled back under the covers, and the alarm went off. Ain't that how always goes.

Here we are at Halloween Eve, and it's 74 F. at not quite three a.m. Probably going to reach 85 today. Disgusting. I have to hit the grocery after work for a few things, which is sick-making in itself. At least we're halfway along that winding dusty trail to the weekend.

If it's gonna be this hot, I'm going to push back my tobacco shop road trip until it gets a little cooler . . . which could mean December before I go.

Anyway! Whatz up?
