Israel Now Bombing Iran


I put the Cafe in draft for a little bit.

I'm not sure all of the bombing videos are real. I'm assuming they are, but a lot of clickbait accounts just take footage from previous events and label them as the current event.

Whoops: Yup, as I guessed might be the case, one of the vids I posted, and the photo I posted, was from a strike in Lebanon, falsely labeled as a strike on Tehran. That's what happens when you scramble to keep up with breaking news.

I've seen that they're hitting Republican Guards bases. The Mullahs rely on them for internal control of the populace (in addition to conducting foreign terror operations, of course).

I don't know if this is true-- I'm just sharing it.

The Iranian regime has been fulminating in its typical way for weeks about the brutal response they would make to any attacks. Actually, they've clumsily signaled weakness, as they often do, by differentiating between different kinds of Israel strikes and the response they would generate.

I don't think Israeli leadership actually for a second uses the ridiculous false framework of "escalation", "proportionality", etc. They've been developing strike plans for a decade or more and are working their plan, or some parts of it.

317 Actual full details may be hard to come by, is normal for little to be known as things are under way. Neither Iran or Israel may discuss details accurately. Outsiders however can put 1 + 1 together, at least speculatively.

Karaj for example has nuclear-related facilities, and Shiraz has a missile plant. Doesn't settle it, but it's suggestive.

And IRGC targets are everywhere.

To the typical yet amazing complete silence of the entire world, they were leaning pretty far forward attacking Kurdish sites in Syria and Iraq. No calls for ceasefire, no wrenching tales of civilian casualties from Turkish attacks, no explainers on why *these* particular terrorists were not "resistance".

If Iran's last missile fest was any indication - and they may well not be able even to match that, in volume, this time - their response could easily further reinforce their "weak horse" image.
