I'm gonna say it...you can get mcdonald's food that isn't THAT bad for you. Stick to a more straight forward burger (with less bun - sorry Big Mac) with extra lettuce, onions, and pickles, and add apple slices and have tap water. It's a way to support them and your waist line...

(A McDouble no cheese with the extra veg listed is how I order on the road - costs more to add veg, but again, trying to eat healthy on the road b/c that's priceless)...and healthy road eating can be done to support Trump at home...

Whatever else you want to say about Trump, the man is authentic and everybody who knows him personally says the same.

170 For the folks saying McDonalds can't have records for everyone that worked there going back that far, I wouldn't be so sure of it. McDonalds is or was a major government contractor (we had one at the Orlando Naval recruiting center, when that still existed)

The famous threat we always got in Navy boot camp late 80's) was that if you got a dishonorable discharge, not even McDonald's could hire you, which was technically true based on their contract, so I believe the record keeping was pretty robust.

I don't know which specific ones, but apparently there are a few that historically release polls in the first week of November but who have announced that they're stopped midway through October.

It's...odd behavior when polling is now effectively, "Everyone is tied everywhere." Which totally means that they think that the race is as even in NC as it is in MI, and it totally doesn't mean that they are just hedging their bets and cashing out as early as possible.

295 @Aetius, candidates have been doing these kinds of stunts forever. I think of Abe Lincoln wrestling or a picture I saw once of Calvin Coolidge wearing an Indian headdress.

The issue isn't the stunt, it's how well the candidate pulls it off. If it looks phony and just a photo op, you're in Dukakis territory. If it looks genuine and sends the messages the candidate wants to send, it's brilliant stagecraft. As I posted above, Trump has been a self-romoter his whole life and he produced a hit reality series. He knows what he's doing. Dukakis and Kerry didn't.

Trump has never pretended to be anyone other than who he is. That's one of the reasons I like him. A "real politician" in his position would've emphasized being from, say, a middle-class household in a working-class neighborhood.
