Blacks and Latinos are fleeing the dems in droves. And republicans are doing more early voting instead of waiting until election day. There's too many different unknowns this time.

There is a county in CA that went blue big last time in early voting, I think over 10K; this time they are only up 1K. Not that Trump will win CA, but that's a huge leap.

I think the biggest problem is the effort to clean up voter rolls.

As a case study, after 2020, FL lost about 800,000 Democrats from the rolls. They just disappeared. Poof. Gone.

Then, in 2022 (not predictive of presidential election years), DeSantis won his re-election by 19%.

If you don't have a giant pool of fake registrations to invent votes from, it becomes much, much more obvious what you're doing. Still, 2020 was brazen and blatant, so we'll see if they feel like they can just do that all over again.

Generally I would. But due to the importance of Pennsylvania there are a lot of outside resources being poured into election integrity. Curiously, if you go back, year by year, you can find times when the GOP lead in an off-year, only for the floor to open under them in the election year. In 2011, the GOP led by multiple points, but by the time we nominated Romney, the Party ID for the GOP was like -6.

Re vote fraud--it is generally much harder to pull off in GOP leaning house districts because virtually none of them represent urban shitholes where cheating is common and suburban/rural election clerks, etc are not a protected environment for cheating because they don't control local law enforcement/prosecutors and they don't often control the local government apparatus.

There are a few areas such as Indian reservations or perhaps areas of Appalachia that have documented histories of vote fraud but a lot of the old rural vote fraud machines of the 1890's etc. have faded away.

Swollen lug nuts are definitely a thing and they can be a problem. Lots of manufacturers make a two piece lug nut for cosmetic reasons. Moisture can get between the layers and cause deformation. It's not solely a cosmetic issue. If you have a flat tire, you can get stuck on the side of the road with a lug wrench that doesn't fit over your lug nuts. Then you have to rely on a tow truck.

You can get solid one piece lug nuts. Or just replace them every few years. Or get a larger lug wrench that fits swollen lug nuts.

You're going to see that in pockets of registration numbers (WY is crazy for this since 2022 when the small bit of Democrats tried to save Cheney, most of whom seem to have just vanished from the voting rolls since).

But not in something like the Gallup survey which is self-reporting.

The Gallup survey actually has a history of coming close to predicting the national vote total. It's something like 1-1.5 points off in every election since 1988 or so. If Gallup is saying R+3, it's probably the best sign that Trump's election is easily in the bag...assuming voting matters.
