The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"It is much more likely, I say it with sincerest convictions, that war will never come in our time -- and perhaps will have passed from the world, at any rate for the period which our most adventuresome imagination enables us to foresee."Winston Churchill, First Lord of the Admiralty, May 15, 1912

Quote II

The writer must earn money in order to be able to live and to write, but he must by no means live and write for the purpose of making money. Karl Marx

Quote III

“Ignoring all the other state resources that flow through my department alone, setting that aside, we’re talking about $1 billion in state money alone over the 15 years of this plan. We scale up to speed up.” State of MD Secretary Jacob Day

Seems to me if she lived under Sharia Law her problem would have nipped in the bud quite some time ago.

Britain’s ‘most prolific’ shoplifter is back behind bars just weeks after she was banned from all stores in her area.

Tayna Liddle, 43, who often wears big hats and sunglasses during thieving sprees, has racked up a staggering 172 convictions and more than 400 arrests.

She’s also allegedly posted ‘how to steal’ videos on TikTok, has plagued shops in the North East for decades.

Ukraine to receive Mirage 2000 fighter jets in early 2025: French Defence Minister names approximate dates of aircraft delivery

In June 2024, Emmanuel Macron: France to transfer Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets to Ukraine provide Ukraine with Mirage 2000 fighter jets. No additional information was disclosed at the time, but finally some details from an official were voiced.

Here's What We Know
French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu said that according to the outlined plan, the fourth-generation Mirage 2000 multi-role fighters will appear in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2025.

France will equip the aircraft with modern defence systems that will be able to strike ground targets and electronic warfare systems. It is not insignificant that the French side is actively continuing the training of Ukrainian pilots and mechanics.

Eat the Bugs Update: WEF Globalists Have a Problem - Nobody Wants Them

And a Happy Tuesday to you!

Besides yet another self-immolation - not on the sidewalk outside the White House, thank God, but Harris on national TV - it turns out another of the World Economic Forum's most prized objectives just got a teensy bit further out of their dystopian, grasping claws.
What really has to sting the enclave is that this was the year they would spend "rebuilding trust." You know, trying to shake that Bond villain image they'd so carefully cultivated and then forlornly realized probably wasn't the best facade when attempting to mold the world to your specifications.

...A fair portion of the rational world is looking at this pretentious, creepy clique of over-the-top Bond bad guys, and wondering why anyone gave a flying Fritz about the unelected party-going WEF to begin with.

YOU’RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME

For instance – Ms. Von Der Leyen. A miserable failure of a German politician who, in the classic fashion, has failed steadily upward through the European Union hierarchy to become President of the European Commission.

You may remember this story which became news last November. An author for Deadspin, the Gawker spawned sports site, wrote an article accusing a 9-year-old boy of racism for wearing blackface. Here's a photo of the boy whose name is Holden Armenta.

Hope that young man wins a fvcking bazillion dollars.

86 President Harris wants to help secure steady supplies of materials to fuel government built and controlled factories. She proposed the establishment of a "national reserve" of critical minerals such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel because the open market will manipulate and jackel the common man and the security of the government.

The concept from a paper by the Harris campaign which is part of a larger reindustrialization strategy from the Democratic nominee that embraces a re-imagineing of the US government's relationship with manufacturers

The Harris-Walz white paper released last week touted Biden's effort and signaled an expansion in different areas - from biomanufacturing to aerospace to quantum computing and more - as well as a section devoted to those critical minerals needed to fuel them.

These tax credits will also be designed, the Harris campaign promised, with significant strings attached.

170 aWalz, in CA today, called for the abolition of the Electoral College: "It's a mess. We've got to get rid of it."

Combine that with Harris' SCOTUS reform plan (that's what THEY call it), and a picture emerges of a plan to create a permanent, leftwing regime that can't be voted out of office.

The EU seems to be there already. A similar threat to democracy here is right in front of us, staring into our eyes.

Commuting in NoVA can be a massive headache but it wasn't a hard place to find or get to. They have a range there, so I'll have to make time and go. They offer quite a few classes and will take a couple of them, when I can make time. I'll need to get cleaning accessories too. Bought a box of ammo (.38 Special, 50 rds), need to get more. Thought I'd start small at first. The process was easy enough. The paperwork reminded me of security clearance paperwork.

Posted by: Ciampino - trouble doubled at October 08, 2024 11:10 PM (qfLjt)

Those are cordless-electric chainsaws, with lithium batteries. If there were electric generators handy, they would not be useless. Use one saw, keep two on charge, keep rotating. No question gasoline-powered saws would be better, but even then, you would have supply gasoline, and two-stroke oil, and chain oil.

If I were directing the drop: one pallet would have 4 5000 watt generators, two big gas-powered saws, and jerry cans of straight gas for the generators, and fuel mix for the gasoline saws, and chain oil. Other pallet: a bunch of those electric saws, some hard hats, ear muffs, and chainsaw chaps. And more fuel.

I would like to see a modern iteration of the "hammerless" top-break revolvers that were popular between the 1880s and 1930s. Break them open, and the spent cases automatically eject. You can reload in a few seconds. Built of good steel, they ought to be strong enough to handle the .38 Special round.

271 If you're shooting a lot of .38 in a .357, remember that the .38 case is shorter and this will result in a residue build-up inside the cylinder. If you don't clean this out - thoroughly - you won't be able to load .357 rounds at some point. It'll take some elbow grease to scour out that burnt crap.

the 80's were when the big record companies decided to emulate the little record companies that got rich, and back newer bands, and the newer sound, and managed to turn them all corporate. This was the explosion of new wave and MTV to get it front of viewers.
There was that short couple of periods where they got new exciting sounds out, and even got some good media backing of a number of punk bands, before it fizzled out into undifferentiated glop.
But it was a hot hot period.

345 Puddleglum.

Show up at the TxMoMeet, and I shall give you 100 rds, of factory boxed, Winchester .38 Spl, 148 gr. full-wadcutter, target ammo. (mfg., 1970s)

You may shoot it, or trade it to an ammo collector for 2x the same round-count, on new production .38 Special of some other loadings.

Thing about the wadcutters. SUPERB accuracy. LOW flash & recoil. ABSOLUTELY wreaking, Lots of Air In, Lots of Blood Out, wound characteristics.

And a great legal stance? "Prior Intent? Why, NO! I still had my practice and target ammo loaded, not some deadly lethal murderous hollowpoint rounds!!!"

The offer for the 100 rounds is real. I'll have 'em with me, just in case.

346 L A. City Clowncil public comments on Smoke N Scan was funny today. Three Inch Shrimp, wearing an Israeli flag shirt, did his singing thing, followed by some interesting comments.

Plus more.

Three Inch Shrimp is an asian guy that calls himself that, and sings (or raps) in some language (korean? Mandarin? Not Japanese). He sometimes speaks in simple spanish to make the spanish translator laugh.

What is funny is that after he sings, the City Attorney always offers to provide a translator if he requests one.

Only in California.

366 The cartoon reminds me...did I ever tell the story of the guy who "accidently" fell on a flashight that went far up his bum? It was in blinking continuous mode on the MRI. He needed surgery. There are many accidents this way with light bulbs and beer bottles and all sorts of unexpected objects to sit on. It is a dangerous world out there, people...ask Gere.

If any of you Morons accidently fall on something, blinking or not, trust me you will be the brief entertainment of the ED. I was hauled in to see it because I laugh like a hyena, and the male ED docs would always try to see how I'd react, even though they knew.

Stay safe Florida. I have many there I love and am praying for all. I hope it hits cooler water and slows down.

Milton is also a really stupid name for a hurricane. He will slow down to a CAT 3, I am pretty sure of it. But Tampa and St. Pete are going to get hit hard, after already flooding from Helene.

I'm in agreement on BOTH.

Paul Simon is one, but there are countless others. Songs open with subtle, soft notes and quiet lyrics.

DON'T FUCK THAT UP with your SILLY APPLAUSE.

Ditto, the "rythym". GAK!

Side note: It is IMPOSSIBLE to stop a EURO audience from both clapping and SINGING ALONG.

Watch the concert videos, and tell me I am wrong?
