Boy have I been bushed all darned week. I really could use some Hoe Snow.

The supermoon from a week ago, rising over the mountains.

Puppies line up for good-night kisses.

Patient doggos wait to be served dinner.

Not to be Johnny-One-Note but I'm telling you, these bears are out of control.

Cat takes the basket ride up to see his favorite human.

Dog earns some babysitting money.

Little dog has clever way of getting out of the pool. See if you can guess what it is. (I failed.)

I might start counting alpacas to go to sleep.

Earlier was enjoying a cigar at my local shop while watching the Blues practice for their shows this weekend. But it wasn't their normal practice, which typically is identical to their show routine. Shorter, and they never did the fleur de lis, also think they had to replace a plane, there was a silent period followed by take-off sound.

But at 23mph it may stay a strong Cat 3 at landfall before it falls apart. At least one feeder band is now over the Gulf Stream in the Atlantic so a lot of central Florida is getting very wet.

If he doesn't show then, the judge sends the marshals or deputies to arrest him and haul his ass in handcuffs. Don't all courts operate like this? I had jury duty once when 2 of the prospective jury pool members failed to show. Judge told deputies firmly to go get them. Hauled 'em in in less than 45 minutes.

Dunno, but I gots a story. I had a little boat with a 35hp (ancient) Johnson on it, and I liked to take it on the Missouri. The Big Muddy.
8 or 10 trips, laying trot lines, running them, screwing with the motor (7mph current constant)... rarely saw another boat.
One day my son and I are out, through the week, and saw two other boats. One, Mo Highway Patrol (who checked us) and the Mo Dept of Conservation (who checked us). I laughed at them. Both said the same thing... we gotta go out some time.

This is hitting as a cat 4, it’s going to be very ugly. Not just the hit, but the flooding. 20 foot storm surges are no joke.

We just built our house a few years ago, so it’s gold standard. It is supposed to withstand cat 5, the best you can do. Cat 4 is too close to that for me. I am praying for everyone getting hit right now.

Just hit about 4" rain event total since it started about 10:30PM last night. Another 3" or so to go.

It's starting to get a bit tropically breezy, air has that smell to it.

They've got 68mph peak gusts forecast right over here around the 7 - 8AM time frame. Not looking forward to that at all.

402 We live north of Tampa. So far we have lost power briefly five times, but it has come back on each time fairly quickly. There are trees down nearby, one blocking a road. We are safe from storm surge, thankfully. The panhandle is going to have so much damage from this, prayers for those in that area.

Jerrah Jones bought the Cowboys, hired his old buddy Jimmah Johnson as head coach, and the Cowboys won 4 or 5 Super Bowls. Jimmah got too popular for Jerrah's taste and wanted even more control of the team and personnel decisions. Jerrah got rid of him and has hired mediocre head coaches since. Head coaches who won't get more press in Dallas than Jerrah. And here the Cowboys are. And I've been loving the results for over two decades! Sweet!
