Georgia Shooter's Father Berated Him as a "Sissy" and Bought Him an AR-15 to "Toughen Him Up"

My gay son is having a tough time being a queer, talking about shooting up his school and suchlike, so I think I'll buy him an AR-15 so he can feel powerful and manly.

Perfect plan. Well played.

Guys like this put the Second Amendment at grave risk.

I should point out it's only a claim; maybe a relative is lying to make the kid appear innocent.

The father of accused Georgia school shooter Colt Gray believed that his 14-year-old son was too gentle, and bought him the AR-15-style rifle in an attempt to "toughen him up," a relative claims.
Colin Gray gave his troubled son the assault rifle for Christmas -- the weapon that Colt ended up using in last Wednesday's bloodbath at Apalachee High School that left two teens and two teachers dead, authorities have said.

That means, of course, that he bought the gun for his femboi psychopath after local police had knocked on his door about his posting of threats to shoot up the school on his Discord.

But it was the way Colin spoke to his son that raised the eyebrows of concerned family members.
"He would call Colt names to his face," says a relative of Colt's mother, Marcee. "Names that no boy wants to hear: sissy, p--y, bitch... just names that were meant to break him down and emasculate him."
The relative added: "Colin always thought that Colt was too gentle and tender. That's why I believe he gave him the rifle."

So I do see here an attempt to soften up Colt's image, by blaming the father.

Still, we know the father bought the gun after alerted that his gay psychopath son was making threats to kill children.

Colin, the father...

...has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children in the second degree.
If he's convicted of all charges, Colin faces up to 180 years in prison.

In prison, Colin may learn what it is to be a sissy and a bitch.

Below, the local cops knock on Colin Grey's door to inform him that his pansy psychopath son has been threatening to shoot up a school.

Colin seems.... much more cool with it than you might guess.

He promises that if Colt did make those threats, then "all of the guns are going away."

Obviously, that was an empty promise. He promised this in May 2023, then gave him his Christmas gun in December 2023.

He also talks about Colt being "bothered" at school. He knew the kid was troubled, he knew the kid was making terroristic threats to commit a mass shooting.

He still bought him the gun.

It's like having a fucked-up kid who's fascinated by fire and burning animals and buying him a can of gasoline and box of matches. So he can "express his creativity."

Non-evidentiary videos are often deleted after 90 days. Evidentiary videos are often stored for months to years. This all depends on local laws and budget.

Don't forget, the kid is 14. It's like with everything else in our world, he's too young to vote, too young to drive, too young to decide what sex he wants to be, or who he wants to have sex with.

Apparently, she's getting a crash course on how perfect produce has to be in order to be served in a college dining hall. I think I'm getting an abject lesson in waste not, want not, while at the same time being blessed with tons of "free" produce (I'm paying her tuition and she's volunteering her free time, so it's more the barter system, I think).

It's definitely been changing my mid-week dinner plans b/c this stuff only lasts 3-4 days...and now I guess I better make plans for it each week (of course, when I do, there suddenly won't be any, but that's why you adapt)...

State has to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt but again, Georgia is a state where one can be an accessory to a murder and charged the same as the murderer. That avoids arguing over who actually shot the person and attributing liability among the group of criminals. Also has the benefit of the weakest link pleading out the case and giving testimony.

Depending on the kid's lawyer, it might be the best strategy to hang the father out to dry and throw yourself on the mercy of the court.

Death penalty and even life imprisonment without parole are off the table for the kid anyway due to Dredd Justice Kennedy and his juvenile justice opinions.

I tend to agree with this assessment. The 'sins of the father' went out with the New Testament, IMO. Emotionally, I completely understand the feeling that we need to throw the book at the father, but I think the precedent that sets is one that we would eventually regret. No...there would be no bars in existence if DWI was chargeable to the provider and also no gun/ammo shops...

Minors under legal guardianship is the difference here...can't charge a fully functional adult whose has no guardianship or conservator with a crime and then also suggest that someone else made him do only by providing what, at his age, he is legally entitled to.

He cannot if they charge Colt as an adult without guardianship - which requires paperwork and a judge to have happen already. I doubt that is the case - these charges are for headlines and nothing more. They get dropped or the adult charges for Colt get dropped. One or the other...

Sorry, that is not Georgia law. You can charge the son and the father under felony murder charges which is what the DA apparently did. Both were jointly and severally involved in how the murdered died--the father in providing a firearm to a troubled youth that had already threatened to shoot up a school previously and the son who actually did it this time.

Georgia is one of the few states that applies a strict criminal liability in felony murder cases.

"In Georgia, a person commits felony murder if any death (even an accidental one) results from the commission of certain violent felonies, such as arson, burglary, kidnapping, rape, and robbery. The felony murder doctrine provides that any individual committing a felony crime that involves a deadly weapon will be held legally responsible for any deaths that result from the crime."

Please read the entire statute - this does not apply to minors but to adult co-conspirators in the commission of a felony. They must show willful intent and conspiracy - usually in the form of affirmative communication. Doubtful they discussed the commission of this crime, the dad will plead robbery of his firearms if Colt is tried as an adult and, saying, well you should have prevented that robbery somehow because you knew that adult was dangerous just isn't going to fly...there is an enormous amount of court precedent - You and I both know they are over charging here...

309 Recall how the 1998 Springfield Oregon school shooter (a year before the more famous Columbine shooting) was given his weapon by his liberal educator parents.

He kept asking and asking, until he wore them down. They gave in and bought him the weapon he asked for. Then he used it to kill both parents, and then people at the school.
