50 Welp, back from the ER Dept. The lovely Mrs. decided to test the hardness of the dock/parking lot with the back of her head. Nothing 4-5 staples couldn't close up. No sign of any other head injury so that's all good. She fine really except for her pride.

Had I done that, it would be far more dramatic. After the Army I was still relatively fit, and had most of my hair. But you would have seen my hairline receding like a neap tide, and my beard coming and going, then staying, then getting more and more gray.

I mostly got it to put basic basslines down on my own compositions and for whoever comes over to play. But i feel like an absolute fraud on bass whereas i don't on rhythm guitar. Whereas i can learn to play cool riffs on a keyboard - came up with a nice one in A harmonic minor awhile back - but playing chords i have to piece them out: Cm? Lessee, start on C, then 3 half steps then 4 half steps. C-D#-G That's cumbersome. Whereas on guitar, i can do chords easily - majors, minors, suspended, m7ths..., but i can't play riffs....

I attend Christian getaways with my son and his church mostly every year in Utah. Slot canyons can be extremely dangerous. Even if you're not getting rained on where you are, there might be a t-storm upstream that would have a slot canyon from dry to 10 feet of rushing water in a matter of minutes.

To really blow your mind, listen on the Tube that is You what are called "isolated tracks", Jimmy Page is just wailing on his Harmony or whatever. It is amazing. The bass line track is also isolated, if you want to listen to bass in a vacuum. It's kinda cool!

For far too many of the "look at these cool views I experience when i get out on adventures", the creators need to let the visuals tell the story instead of saddling them with their execrable tastes in music. So what if all you hear is the sound of the wind? The crap you tack on to your video really detracts from the viewing experience.
