Dogs evolved specifically to be useful and pleasing to humans, and boy did they nail it.

They totally nailed it.

Oh no, this senior dog is too adorable.

An oldie but a goldie: German shepherd jumps like Superman (before the 1940s Max Fleischer cartoon decided he could fly because it was easier to animate).

This dog's gait is perfect.

Is this about exercise or food?

Big nose but a good boy.

I had a dream like this one time.

Not even a surly camel can resist the charms of a puppy.

So you want to be a Boonie Ranger like Rambo...

1) evolution is about "good enough" I mean, look at pandas, right?"

2) Cats use the litter box, and they have little interest in pleasing us, so it is possible litter boxes are not genetically linked to pleasing us.

The hidden owner trick dog reminded me of when the missus and I arrived at the start of a jewelry making class together with our last before the current Portuguese Water Dog. We had gotten breakfast sandwiches at Wawa and I put them under the classroom table, which is where Moura, the dog, was housed. There was a cloth skirt around the perimeter of the table.

We both went to the front of the classroom to view the first demonstration from the instructor. We returned to our seats, where I reached under the table for the bag of sandwiches and to our surprise found that both of them were gone. The look that I got from Moura when I looked beneath the table to find her could only best be described as "Wut? I dindu nuffin!"

Ensure that the alternator has a good ground wire, preferably #10 wire, going to the negative post on the battery. One or two flaky grounds between the alternator and battery can result in overcharging, because the internal regulator does not "see" full battery voltage.

No idea. I was in a rush when it surged and haven't done any troubleshooting beyond putting the multimeter to the posts. BUT that engine bay was very considerately designed so I don't think there will be any issues at all with the swap.

I remember a friends Lumina (I think that's right) where you had to pull a support and maybe a washer fluid reservoir to access the battery. It was such a relief to see that this one is laid out cleanly and with maintenance in mind.

It hasn't missed a beat, though. A buddy said "Those 3.8s will warn you a long time before they leave you stranded. If you get stuck on the side of the road then you usually deserve it."

He was a rescue from the mean streets of Fresno, CA. His ears are permanently folded forwarded because of scar tissue from infection and most of his tail was amputated because of trauma before my ex got him. He's also got a round body (but don't let that trick you - he's a mouser). But he really is a sweetie pie. Super affectionate.

Hah! Yesterday, here it rained all day. Temp dropped to the low forties. Sun nowhere to be seen. Right around 8:30 last night, I caught a glimpse of the Sun as it set.
