The Morning Report — 8/21/24

chicomroost.jpg

Good morning kids. Day 2 of Nuremberg 2 boogaloo in Chicago. And there you have it folks, America is an illegitimate nation built on stolen land. There's the Democrat Party.

The DNC 2016 party platform began by claiming that “Democrats meet in Philadelphia with the same basic belief that animated the Continental Congress when they gathered here 240 years ago.” Four years later, out went the Continental Congress and all of America.

The 2020 DNC platform began with a politically fashionable ‘land acknowledgement’ asserting that America was an illegitimate entity operating on stolen land “built on Indigenous homelands.”
The 2024 platform likewise begins with a ‘land acknowledgement’ claiming that Chicago properly belongs to 13 different Indian tribes. Once again, the DNC asserts that they “recognize that our country was built on Indigenous homelands.” That is to say America should not exist.
If the Democrats truly believe it, why not turn over Chicago to the Indian tribes?
Land acknowledgements were initiated by an Australian Marxist terrorist supporter at a counterculture festival in the 1970s. Its goal was to establish that Australians were foreigners and had to follow aboriginal laws and culture. 50 years later the practice, grounded in ‘decolonization’ has been widely adopted by American leftists and their ruling party.
Land acknowledgements are a form of historical revisionism, like the 1619 Project and destroying Columbus statues, that are paving the way for delegitimizing America.

And that's why the party has no problems with cheering on Hamas' bloody final solution against Israel and the Jews. the roasting alive of babies in front of their parents, while girls and women are gang raped. Great Satan and Little Satan. Maybe that explains Andy Beshear's wishing J.D. Vance's wife and female family members experience being raped.

Of course to underscore the searing hatred of this nation, its founding, history and heritage as well as those who wish to try to restore and preserve it, no better dyspeptic duo of division and deviltry than the Obamas to spout their own vitriol at us.

Chuck Schumer, who’s painstakingly ignored the ugly and often violent Jew-hatred that’s infected his party, accused Trump of peddling anti-Semitism.
Speaker after speaker warned that Donald Trump, a relative moderate on social issues, was going to ban in vitro fertilization, even though the former president has explicitly rejected any limits on fertility treatments.
So it made all the sense in the world that the second night of the DNC featured former president Barack Obama, a man who probably did more to polarize American politics than any in modern history.
And the vacuous religiosity and hypocritical moralizing of Obamas was on full display. , ,

. . . Michelle preemptively accused anyone who opposed the Dems presidential nominee Kamala Harris of being driven by racism and misogyny — basically, the same con the Obamas ran when they were in the White House.
When it was former president Obama’s turn, he lamented the ugliness of modern American politics before mocking Trump’s “weird obsession with crowd sizes” by gesturing with hands to signify a small length.
Obama bemoaned that our politics had turned citizens against each other, before accusing Republicans of being insular slacked-jawed hate mongers.
As George Will once wrote, Obama is “a pyromaniac in a field of straw men.”
. . . But perhaps the most confusing aspect of the night was Obama’s call for a return to decency. The former president, in fact, argued that America needed, “a new chapter, a better story,” even though his own vice president Joe Biden has been in office for nearly four years.
Come to think of it, Kamala Harris had also been in office for nearly four years. What had either done to make our politics less divisive or our lives more joyful?
Politics is indecent in America today as it has been for a long time. And the DNC offered us another example of how low we’ve sunk.

They cannot return to hell fast enough for my liking, because they are on a clear path to bring hell on earth right here. They've already paved the road to it, and their intentions were never good, contra the popular saying of the road to hell and what it's paved with.

What I said in the wake of the 2020 election theft, goes double now. We are going to be faced with being forced to do things that will run contra to everything we believe in and cherish as decent human beings. And speaking of which, this piece above the fold will not do much to improve your morale, but it's something that even the most optimistic among us have to come to terms with.

Keep the faith and have a good day.

No good is served by stirring up old conflicts of the past. Politicians that are doing this are attempting to keep the population at each other's throats so they won't turn on those very politicians that keep making their lives miserable.

34 In Canada, we had claims that there were a bunch of mass graves of indigenous children at what were the residential schools. This was further spun to make people believe that if those were graves, they must be kids, and of course they must all be murders. Because of course they were.

Have any of the alleged graves been exhumed for a proper forensic analysis to look for foul plan? NOT A ONE. Gee, here we are two years later, and no effort has been made (or has been permitted to be made) to test those claims.

Meanwhile, over a hundred churches were burned in response to the claim: https://tinyurl.com/2s4c3j7e

And the Prime Minister went and kneeled on the lawn of one of these schools holding a teddy bear as a photo-op, shortly after the initial claims were coming out. This, of course, only stirred things up MORE.

The new fence along the front is put in and looks nice. The first problem is that the wood from the old fence is still sitting on the ground. The second problem is that the temporary fence (100 feet of 5 foot welded wire and posts) has yet to be removed. And I'm not sure if they're going to remove any of this. It happens so often that I know I've occasionally become desensitized and numb to it to the point I forget that's what they're doing, and then I remember and have that "Oh yeah. This again" moment of realization.

87 Last night I had a minor epiphany.

The last 3 election cycles, the Democrats have perfected the art of ballot harvesting. Likely voter models are kind of pointless, because Democrats make sure registered voters vote, even if they don't know it.

There is a massive downside risk to this. This puts the total pool of Democrat votes at a fixed number because they stop bothering to have a message to attract new voters. They have stopped growing, and they don't know how to reverse that trend.

They only know identity politics. When that doesn't work any more, they have no fall back.

Democrats are dying as a party.

and that their leader is determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by, for instance, declaring that he wants lots of immigration because AI is coming (no, that didn’t make sense to me, either).

Ackshewallee, it makes perfect sense. As he often does Trump is short-handing a concept because he considers his audience intelligent.

Here's a longer explanation of what he meant:

We're often told by Our Betters that we "need" all of these 3rd world illegal aliens because...Americans won't dig their ditches, won't pick their fruit, won't harvest their vegetables, won't be their maids, or their nannies, won't drive their Ubers or taxis, won't mop their floors, won't make them sheep's eye tacos at three in the morning and if Americans will do these things they don't do them cheaply enough.

The coming of efficient AI and robotics, in particular, mean that we do not need to import 3rd world "help" at all. The coming of AI/robotics ultimately means that all the minimum wage jobs, all the grunt work, a lot of the working and middle class jobs at all levels are going to disappear (con't)

    Posted by: Hadrian the Seventh

    -

And I'd argue that it's much more damaging to women. They're convinced to pursue meaningless toil and waste their childbearing years in order to save up tens of thousands of dollars so that they can later spend those years of saving money on IVF after they've passed their prime.

And they've been convinced that this toil and waste of years and their own personal resources is "healthcare."

    It really is brilliant.

Yes, that is the end result of massive illegal and legal immigration and identity politics. You move to a political system that is autocratic because the disparate parts no longer agree on the common good of the nation--only for their particular bailiwick. The truth behind the Globalists is that a denationalized system that they are trying to build will not have any popular legitimacy and trying to transition to such a system will inevitably lead to anarchy, death, slavery, and destruction.

Nation states existed for a reason and that was to stop the endless and pointless wars in Christendom and between rival nobles.

THREAD: In addition to his military career & drunk driving arrest, there’s another topic about which @Tim_Walz has been lying for political purposes —the conception of his own children. Since IVF treatments entered the news earlier this year, Walz has been repeatedly claiming he & his wife owe their two children to IVF. But today both CNN & the NYT confirm the Walzes did not in fact use IVF.

Here’s Walz a month ago on Chris Hayes’s show: “Today is IVF day. Thank God for IVF, my wife and I have two beautiful children.”

Here’s Walz two weeks ago in Philadelphia talking about IVF: “This gets personal for me and my family”

Here’s Walz in Wisconsin two weeks ago again claiming his kids were conceived thanks to IVF: “Some of you may have heard this. [IVF] is personal for my wife and I. When Gwen & I decided to have children, we went through years of fertility treatments. The phone would ring, tenseness in my stomach, & then the agony when you heard the treatments hadn’t worked. So it wasn’t by chance that when we welcomed our first child, our beautiful daughter, we named her Hope.”

Here’s Walz recently in Arizona telling the same story, this time while pretending to cry: “I’m not crying you’re crying”

And here’s the New York Times today admitting the truth: “Unlike in vitro fertilization, the procedure used by the Walzes does not involve freezing embryos, so it has not been targeted by anti-abortion leaders.”

Walz Family Fertility Journey Ran Not Through I.V.F. but Another Common Treatment

It is key to get these rulings in advance but the judge has to apply sanctions immediately on the Dems when they ignore the law. That is go to jail, directly to jail and stay there until they comply with the contempt of court ruling.

In PA 2020, the assholes in Philadelphia stiffed the US Supreme Court by throwing all the ballots together despite a clear ruling that they could not do that. To prevent a repeat, they go to jail for contempt of court and any other Dem officeholder must go to jail that tries to help them do this.

Red China has this system in place *today.* They've had it for years. The masters of the CCP - the power center of the Party - have parallel infrastructure. There are farms, transportation systems, supermarkets, etc. that exist solely for the Inner Party.

They ruthlessly control quality and availability for the Party masters, and no outsiders get access to that parallel system. The rubes cannot step foot in the Party supermarkets, and the Party farms' produce doesn't find its way into the non-Party supply chains.

The rubes - even Party member rubes - get to play the lottery and wonder if they are getting real food or chemical trash. The Inner Party gets good stuff, reliably.

I was watching PBS and their pundits. What the hell David Brooks was going on about? Why anyone would have him on as a talking head. Remember his "Bidens Economy" meme about the high cost of airport burgers and whiskey shots.

PBS WAS my trusted TV station. Their talking heads yammered over speakers, including Senator Warnock. I was so angry. Today I watched Warnock's magnificent speech online, which made me even madder that some yoinks talked over it.

I had MSNBC on. Rachel, Chris, Jen, Stephanie, Lawrence compared last night to the RNC.

"Joy and excitement" were adjectives stressed last night lacking at the other's convention they said. I saw smiles on their faces as well. All mentioned "what a deep bench the Democrats have".

The DNC has a YouTube livestream. No bullshit, just the actual event. Watching bullshit artists explain the performance is like science fiction theater 3000 but without the irony.

Cranking the rate up that high is a fascinating idea in terms of market liquidity, and that might actually be the point of it.

The benefit - such as it is, which it isn't - of the capital gains tax is that it is lower than the income tax for most people. If you can, it behooves you to hold onto a position for at least a year because then you'll pay the capital gains rate rather than having it be taxed as ordinary income. The highest income tax bracket is 37%, which is lower than the new capital gains rate.

There is no point (outside of dividend yield and actual long-term investment) to holding a position if they do this. You'll get screwed *harder* if you hang on to a position you don't absolutely *need* to retain. You're better off selling and taking the tax hit as ordinary income.

Should cause liquidity to surge if they do it.

The money is gone. Whoever becomes prezzie in 2024 is going to face that stark conclusion regardless of what they say now. Trump's plan, as it was in 2016, is a desperate attempt to have national GDP grow faster than the debt level which was working until Covid in 2020. Kamala doesn't have a plan which means a bad financial crunch is baked into the cake.

Like a family, you cannot simply borrow one third of your spending as we are doing without bankruptcy. Total budget was 6 trillion plus, the tax revenues are 4 trillion, and that leaves 2 trillion to be covered by borrowing.

Now, one trillion is spent on interest currently of that six trillion and that cost rises faster than any tax revenues would and massive tax increases/spending cuts will tank the economy depressing tax revenues. Bad place to be for an economy.

It is so true when look g back at how nobody was allowed to question the results of the 2020 election. It has been said that the 1st amendment is protected by the 2nd amendment. That must not be true, as I feel we have lost our freedom of speech.

This is impossible with legitimate sorcery.

Our current debt to GDP is 123pct, to simply get it to under 100pct, you would have to grow the economy by 25pct, in very short period of time, while passing revenue neutral budgets.

To get our debt to GDP back to what it was in 2004, just 20 years ago, you would have to grow the economy 115pct.

It's not a question of when all the spinning plates come crashing down, it's simply which clown get left holding the bag.

Notice how Walz does NOT come right out and say they did IVF themselves. He only says that it's a "personal issue" for them and that they went through "years of fertility treatments" without specifying what those treatments were. These are different things. Total debt load vs. annual change.

The total debt load is there, and acts as a constant weight - a weight that gets heavier as interest rates rise. But the debt needn't be paid off to eliminate the problem. It *does* need to be reduced, but the first thing to do when you realize you're drowning is to stop collecting rocks.

That's what Whig is driving at. We *must* bring the deficit (debt growth) down to below the relative level of economic growth absent that debt. In other words, "this year's deficit *must* be a smaller number of dollars than this year's GDP growth." That's how you make progress and have a hope of getting things under control.

I don't think Trump can do it, but that probably *is* the plan and it isn't irrational. Getting the problem contained is different from solving the problem as such.

Eliminating CMS will balance the budget tomorrow. Well, nearly. Social Security is still in deficit, but that is a fairly manageable problem. CMS is not. Medicare and Medicaid are eating the budget.

But yes, definitely a sacred cow and will *not* be fixed. There are a few ways to fix it, and the government will choose "none of the above" for the next few years until state finance is actually threatening imminent collapse. Then it will pick the worst possible solution to the problem by nationalizing the medical industry and imposing rations.

It's marginal. Don't get me wrong, I think tackling fraud is both good and necessary, but it isn't nearly enough. The programs are simply too expensive. The product they buy is too expensive (that *can* be solved, but would upset too many balances of power and money), the quantities of product they buy are untenable and the cashflow to pay for it is laughably inadequate.

CMS is fundamentally broken. The waste, fraud and abuse are a comparatively small part of the problem.

402 Most likely but within that nationalization will be massive cuts in payments to the medical and pharma industry. Since a lot of that spending is on people and drugs, then that is where the cuts will fall.

If the politicians were serious about cutting the price of drugs - the price of everything in the medical industry, for that matter - they would force the issue of price transparency. Every market demands price discovery, and price discovery is contrived away in the American medical system.

That is the single most important thing in my estimation. There is more that needs to happen, but forcing price transparency - and therefore price discovery and competition - is step zero.

Only sort of. State interference is the bigger problem.

Broadly, assume that Pfizer has a drug that India wants for its state medical system. Pfizer says, "we'll sell it to you in quantity for $0.25 per dose." The Indian medical system then says, "we'll pay you $0.08 per dose." Pfizer says, "no sale." India then says, "sell it to us at our price, or we'll violate your patent and produce it ourselves domestically. Get your $0.08 or get nothing because we are the law here and your patent will be found to be invalid."

So Pfizer sells for $0.08 and takes the difference out of *your* ass.

This happens all the time and is one of the reasons domestic drug costs are high. It's not the whole problem - I doubt it's even the dominant problem - but it's real. And the solution to that problem is not economic, but political. This is one of the reasons we have a State Department. When shit like this happens, it is a nation-state action that should be met with a nation-state action. Tariffs, excises, etc. as retaliation.

    >>The key to the election will be Pennsylvania. If Trump wins that state, he has a chance in other states like Georgia and Michigan.

Technically, the only states he needs to win are GA, VA, and NV.

And prospects in both GA and VA are looking up as both states have had a recent spate of election integrity initiatives which bode well.

NV has an ostensible Republican Governor that can be leveraged to make sure, as much as you can, that the elections are on the level.

As has been noted, MI has legalized vote fraud and Pa has over 700k registered inactive voters on it's vote rolls that can be leveraged to generate any number they need to fortify the election.

Wisconsin is a basket case, so I'm not putting too much faith there.

Nope, Trumps path runs through the states I mentioned.

Back when the Obamacare legislation was making it's way into law, I saw a CSPAN interview w/the director of Arlington Hospital (in VA) discussing the possible impacts. He said that his two biggest expenses are equipment and personnel. If for some reason they are not maintaining an operating profit, he has to make a choice on what to cut back. Not personnel, but equipment. So, hypothetically, instead of purchasing 4 MRI machines, he buys 1, and instead of replacing it every 4 years, he waits 8 years (these are my made up numbers to reconstruct his point, so don't take them literally). That in turn, impacts the MRI manufacturer, as they are now losing sales, and they don't upgrade as often, or even go out of business. Now imagine the same with other treatment innovations.

Then with cutting personnel costs, it's gets even worse. . .

It could end up that way, yeah. But that isn't what it means today.

What it means today is "people with little or no debt."

You earn $75k. You own your house that is worth $500k. You have no mortgage and you have a $50k emergency fund in the bank. Your retirement is worth a quarter million bucks. You have no auto loans. Your net work is $800k.

Your buddy earns $150k. He owns a house that is worth $1.2 million but he only has $1.15 million in equity. His emergency fund is $10k. His retirement is worth a third of a million. He has two nice cars but the notes on both of them exceeds the market value of the vehicles. His net worth is about $350k.

You're richer than him. If the "high net worth" cutoff is half a million, you're rich and he isn't.

517 Continued. . . his point was that we don't just have rationed care, but the care itself becomes inferior, because the engine of innovation for equipment, treatments, drugs, has been stalled. If hospitals aren't buying it, it doesn't get made.

We've been accustomed to this environment where there's always a new drug, a new surgery, some new approach that's been pioneered in America. That stops, fast. You start getting the same care as your grandparents, and not even at the same level of quality.

Construction in the bedroom community down the road was going gangbusters until recently. New homes were eating up the agricultural land on the fringes in big bites. That was being outpaced by apartment construction in the core. Apartments are still popping up. Single family housing has slowed to a snails pace. In five years, apartment capacity has increased at least ten fold. The percentage of English second language students in the local SD has risen above 30%.

525 @488 and 518 (Lizzy): Then with cutting personnel costs, it's gets even worse. . .

Welcome to provincial health care in Canada. When I was a child, the hallways of hospitals always had doctors and nurses walking from one place to another. It quieted down a bit at night, but during normal business hours, hospitals were bustling with activity.

Now? The waiting room for the ER is full, there's maybe 1 or 2 doctors on duty (if you're lucky, and you won't be) and the wait is at least six hours, often a lot more.

What struck me while on one of those long waits was how utterly empty the halls were. I kept expecting tumbleweeds.

WH Briefing Room: June 11, 2024, FACT SHEET: Vice President Harris Announces Proposal to Prohibit Medical Bills from Being Included on Credit Reports and Calls on States and Localities to Take Further Actions to Reduce Medical Debt

American Rescue Plan funds are being used to eliminate an estimated $7 billion in medical debt for up to nearly 3 million of Americans; the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) proposal would ensure that no Americans have medical debt on their credit reports, down from 46 million in 2020.

So, ARP funds were also used to save more than 1 million pensions under the Butch Lewis Act. "Prior to the enactment of the Special Financial Assistance (SFA) Program as part the American* Rescue Plan Act of 2021 the PBGC’s Multiemployer Insurance Program was on a path toward insolvency as early as 2026.

"Medical debt dating back to January 1, 2014, will be wiped for all Medicaid beneficiaries, as well as medical debt deemed uncollectible for all patients who have an annual income at or below at least 350 percent of the federal poverty level. Past medical debt that exceeds 5 percent of a patient's annual income will also be forgiven."

NEW YORK, Aug 20 (Reuters) - Nearly 50,000 people in New Jersey will have $100 million in medical debt erased, Governor Phil Murphy said on Tuesday, in one of the largest cases of a state providing direct relief to people unable to pay medical bills. 13 hours ago

"Murphy allocated $550,000 in federal American Rescue Plan funds and partnered with Undue Medical Debt, a non-profit that buys unpaid medical bills from hospitals at a discount, to execute the one-time debt abolishment."

Yes the Marxists are going to come at you sideways to get the guns. They are many things but stupid is not one of them. Because we have told the enemy that we will only attack if provoked, they can ensure we never attack at all. The 2nd Amendment is an illusion, it’s like thinking you have a spare tire when you don’t - you are willing to endure trials you normally wouldn’t, because you think you have a fallback plan.

In the last century, over 120 million humans found themselves on the wrong side of Marxism. The lucky ones died in front of firing squads instead of being murdered by starvation or gulag. Do we really think we’re smarter than them?

539 And the problem isn’t Trump’s lack of military leadership experience, the problem is what the Founding Fathers always feared most - the people have gone sour, They are no longer worthy of a Republic. And I’m talking about the Right too. You can’t even find the will to stand up for a Marine falsely accused by an immigrant, so how can you be expected to save the Republic?

I’m inside Antifa (sabo because the GOP is impotent) working my way to a seat on their Guillotine Cmte. I can promise you Ace, there will be no Vichy Republicans on my watch.
