It is all about choices, she chose organization over placement. Genius Award Winner.

If you would prefer the police not find your bag of drugs, perhaps consider placing the illegal narcotics into something other than a container marked “Bag of Drugs.”

Cops report that Lauren Riley was a passenger in a car pulled over Saturday morning after the driver was spotted without a seatbelt. During the traffic stop, officers noticed Riley, 41, moving items around on the vehicle’s floorboard.

When police peered into the auto, they allegedly spotted drug paraphernalia, which prompted a probable cause examination of the vehicle and its contents. The resulting search, cops report, turned up a bag inside Riley’s purse labeled “Bag of Drugs.”

174 I know we all like to make fun of Kamala… I know I do; she’s a complete idiot, incompetent, etc etc

But I can’t help but notice the non-stop propaganda and gaslighting by the media over the last 10 days or so… they’re going for it with her. I don’t like facing this reality but I have to: the race has been reset. After Biden’s debate disaster and Trump cheating death with a pumping fist, that race was over. Biden was dead man walking and certain to lose. Now? The result is not so certain anymore…. We can point out all day long how bad she is (and is she) but it doesn’t matter…. The Dems have a chance with her now and it’s making me nervous

When my wife (now ex) was pregnant, she used to get heartburn so she would eat ice cream. At that time we worked together so we rode together. And on the drive home we passed a Dairy Queen every day. So that was fast becoming an every day thing. She was worried about gaining weight so she told me not to let her eat too much ice cream. Well, I did what I was told.

Lo and behold years later, that somehow turned into 'I was so mean because I didn't let her eat ice cream' lol!

I think Vivek can better serve his country by being in charge of hacking the Fed Gov down to size, shrinking the size of the Fed workforce ("work" is a euphemism for far too many of those employees), and cutting the Fed assets down to more reasonable levels. If he is outside the inner ring, so to speak, Vivek will see and hear that which he needs to see and hear to do his job effectively.

Two observations:

1) This was the SECOND time poor South Sudan had caught the NBA All Stars. No idea why. USA didn't look to my untrained eye as if they were exactly going balls to the walls. They won by a luckluster 15-20 points or so. The South Sudan coach said Team USA had "treated South Sudan with respect."

2) I did not know South Sudan was a nation, so I poked around on Google. It's everything you would expect it to be, apparently.

246 The image contains within it a song. This is a marvel, made even more dizzying with the presence of Canadian chanteur and (such as is Gamera) friend of children everywhere, the whimsical and upbeat Gordon Lightfoot.

Many has been the time that a depressed and despairing Werner has turned to the light-hearted lyrics of Lightfoot. A memory, if you will indulge me. In the not-so-distant past, I was chastising James Cameron for having cast a dwarf as the male lead of Titanic and in the midst of the pepper spray and the cattle prods, querying if he felt himself the king of the world at present, the maritime-themed occasion of his degradation gave me an idea.

With a clarity that no Democratic politician could ever muster, I remembered the feel-good optimism of Lightfoot's Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. This, thought I, merited a film. Leaving Cameron in his abject repentance, I departed. I only remembered later that I had forgot to release Leonardo di Caprio from his pet carrier, but Art called. Werner must follow this up with another comment.

258 1) This was the SECOND time poor South Sudan had caught the NBA All Stars.

I knew South Sudan was a country but I never thought it would have an Olympic Committee.

I have a very simple rule: the men’s basketball team is there for a formality. The gold medal in basketball is the property of the United States of America. If it is lost, citizenship must be stripped from everyone involved and none involved with the team should be allowed to see America again much less enter the country.

(This does not apply to the real winners of the gold medal in men’s basketball in München 1972. Because THEY GOT SCREWED.)

Kamala can't find anyone of prominence on the D side to run with her. All the money is telling them to lay low. The media is trying like holy hell to hide what she has or has not done in the past as it relates to energy, the border, and guns. They are terrified of the border and DEI. Trump went in and called them on it today. Which will force the Ds to keep talking about a topic they don't want to speak about. Or they will have to shut up about it

Their polling is D+10. Up 11 in Michigan and tied in Wisconsin? C'mon. The D's were relieved to get rid of Biden, so they got a bit of juice, like we didn't expect that, and you didn't expect the polling to get amazingly better to try and support the narrative.

A fair number of their own side think she is going to lose badly.

Give it break. Nobody wants to hear or see her, and her handlers want it to stay that way. She's a terrible candidate, and always has been. Can we blow it - sure we can. Is she in a tough spot, absolutely.

One Sunday, while in the acoustic room, this Black dude just strode on in, the salespeople barely looked up from their papers. He began to assemble various keyboards and a Moog synth and stacked them one on top other other and began this absolutely Funky Jam for the next hour or so.

I had worn a toque as a gesture of solidarity. Eventually, with nanaimo bars from my pockets and the use of some force, I acquired the rights. So began the cinematic journey to bring The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald to the silver screen.

Casting was a no-brainer. Canada's blushing bride, Ryan Reynolds, and God's lawn gnome Justin Bierber. And Klaus Kinski, as the vessel's soothsayer, the cook. Two things marred and defeated our effort. Klaus could not sing, even with the encouragement of shock collars. And secondly, we could not secure a vessel. Taking a page from Clive Cussler, I sealed Kinski and Bieber within a bathysphere, and lowered them in the depths of Lake Superior. Bring Werner back a ship, I admonished them. This did not succeed. Sadly, a weeping Reynolds brought them up from the abyss.

Casting was a no-brainer - Ryan Reynolds, Canada's blushing bride, and tiny near-human Justin Bieber. And, of course, Klaus Kinski. All was made ready, then the sadness. We had not a ship.

312 I read a transcript of a recent speech by Orbán today about Europe, the West, the culture, and the future. It was astounding - he is much more farsighted and more of a true intellectual than I realized. 315 Werner repeated himself somehow. It is as if a mirror universe Werner inserted part of his own comment, while sporting a Van Dyke and garbed in the noted blue garment of a Federation science officer. Live long, says he, and do not prosper. I am chagrined. Are you out of your Vulcan mind, i demand of him. He merely laughs. Those pointy ears are a puzzlement.

Werner is not a stranger to sci-fi. Once, lovable rom-com director David Lynch pleaded with me to take the directing reins from him for the movie Dune. Alas, the studio execs would not accept my creative vision. Vern, said they (they call me Vern), Kinski has not the gravity to suspend disbelief in the form of a Sand Worm. You have made Klaus cry, I told them. When they would not accept Meryl Streep as his replacement, or Hollywood's throw-pillow Glenn Close, I walked. They see Werner rollin', they hatin'.

316 Watching that video of Crooks running across the roof clearly shows him running from west to east. The "authorities" say he climbed up on the roof on the east side, but that doesn't jibe with the video unless they think he goes from east to west then back to the east on the roof.

I think he climbed up on the west side of the building and ran to the east. I still think there was a rifle already on the roof and he does dip down below the roof line which does go along with that thought.

I respect your opinion, and respectfully disagree.

I have some connections with Orban since the mid-80s. He studied law, me economics.

Orban says things I agree with, as do 90% of Hungarians, and I suspect most Europeans in general.

However-his style is not free market, or freedom oriented. He is the son of a Communist trade union apparatchik, and was head of the Young Socialist (Communist) student group (KISS-ha!).

He and his people have become bizarrely wealthy.

Minnesota's capital of Saint Paul has suburbs of North Saint Paul, South Saint Paul, and West Saint Paul.

South Saint Paul borders Saint Paul, on the south. They got one right!

North Saint Paul does not border Saint Paul. It's northeast of Saint Paul.

West Saint Paul also borders Saint Paul on the south. But it is west of South Saint Paul, at least.

Saint Paul itself has neighborhoods named "North End" in the north, "Greater East Side" in the northeast corner, and "West Side" and "West Seventh," both in the south. There's no Lesser East Side, nor Lesser Anything Else.

Although I don’t know if I agree, I was impressed by the depth of his thought on the topic. To sum up, he believes Western European culture is finished, and the future politically and economically will be based on Asia, on a Chinese-Indian axis. He believes that the US can save itself from Europes sorry fate, but only if it pulls back and concentrates on North America.

Two bucks for a big slice, massive cheese, and shy on the pepperoni.

Perhaps in your location.

Speaking of Egypt, I got off on an interesting astronomical tangent due to the dog days of summer, which are so named after the heliacal rising of Sirius, the dog star.

Said heliacal rising was a Big F'ing Deal to the ancient Egyptian astro(nomer/loger)-priests. It was seasonally aligned at the time to herald the flooding of the Nile.

Now, cue the Art Bell intro music. You know the stuff about the Masonic "secret" layout of Washington, DC, which was big on ancient Egyptian stuff....

Well, back around the height of the Egyptian empire (give or take), the heliacal rising of Sirius occurred on July 4th (proleptic Julian extended back to around 1700 BC or so).

While I introduced California natives to the lethality that is a sled blade, before they fled in shredded Armani habiliments, I remember shouting "There can be only one!" Which is a wonderment, as the family-friendly masterpiece that is The Highlander came out two years later. Was I prescient? Was Christopher Lambert hiding in one of the closets? Did his winsome then-spouse lurk outside the office? These things puzzle Werner.

Many male astronauts routinely ditch their first wives for a hot young Russian translator babe (contractors hired by NASA) or young flight operations or crew training hotties. Some ditch their first wives for a younger female astronaut they are routinely around in training or at astronaut get-togethers. Female astronauts play the field, too. A good male friend of mine married a newly-minted female astronaut about the same age, 25 years ago. She ditched him for a male astronaut with 5 years.

What was the unhappy part of the ending? Also Werner has experienced enough Solstices and equinoxes that he too remembers Woolsworth's, as well as the palace of delights and cabinet of wonders that is Ben Franklin's. It seems as it were only yesterday that I chased a frightened Helmut Kohl through the latter emporium, with the aid of my late Irish Wolfhound, whom I had dubbed Simon le Bon. It was the Eighties, and Duran-Duran was a thing. I shall not speak of the blasphemy that Helmut did, but luck was with him that day, as neither I nor Simon le Bon could resist stopping to enjoy a cherry icee. I miss Simon, as well as his sister Angela Lansbury, a canine of delicate sensibilities who seemed to encounter homicide at every turn, like her TV namesake. I of course have no idea why that was, and I also have an alibi.

I completely disagree with this. Politics isn't going to save one's soul. Jesus is. Politics has been turned into a religion, that's not healthy. Christians should absolutely be praying for the leaders of this nation, regardless of party. They should be praying for the upcoming election for God's Will. Get involved with Politics if you want but don't let it become a replacement religion to the Living God. That's Idolatry.

You must see The Highlander, if for nothing else than the character Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, who is described in the film as an Egyptian immortal, and is played by Sean Connery with a Scottish accent. Now that I think of this, the film may have played fast and loose with some of its casting. i am not without sin in this area, as I desperately tried to cast Betty White in the role of Brian Sweeney Fitzgerald in my cinematic effort Fitzcarraldo. This was pre-Golden Girls, yet she returned not my calls. I had to resort to Kinski, alas.

Neither a shoggoth nor Mi-go will touch them, and even Cthulhu himself on his occasional visits, inquiring "'Sup?" will query "Dude, you got any Habanero?" when confronted with them. For that is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons classic Doritos are to be preferred. Hostess Cupcakes are nice.

On a recent night of desperation, I discovered the Hand-Tossed Crust topped with Alfredo Sauce, Extra Cheese, Jalapenos, and Diced Tomatoes. It tasted like my childhood dreams.

534 Here in Las Cruces we have our own special pizza blend. Thin crust made from Italian flour. Made from scratch marinara sauce, imported pepperoni, The proper amounts of mozzarella and to finish it all off hot green chilies. It is divine Pizza.

"Why would I speak to the Congressional Black Caucus? I don't even believe there should be such a thing. HBCUs can cater to Black students all they want, it's not going to make me give them an extra dime or an extra thought. Black pastors, pray with them? Are they different from white pastors? I'll pray with pastors, period. And I'm canceling the First Step Act, come to think of it. I don't like the results."

536 My only excellent recent pizza was crust I made, topped with marinara from Miley, whole milk mozz and some provolone, and a quarter acre of pepperoni and 'shrooms.

That, my Friends, is a classy, luxurious pizza, that much I can tell you.

Awww, Klaus, you zany homunculus. I shall betake myself to the preparation of strudel. Or would you favor an apple pie from Mickey D's? Remember, they have cinnamon.

539 I should note the green chilies are roasted in a tumbler until the skin's blister. After that, the skins are peeled and thrown away. At that point they are chopped up into small little bits until the liquid is released.
