My brother would occasionally take a long piece of rebar, poke it in the ground here and there, and tell pop everything was ok.

I like Senator Mike Lee, but like every other GOP Senator, is utterly worthless in his role.
He whines and whines about how easy it is for the Democrats to do anything they want and no matter if the GOP were to take the Executive, Senate and House would be impotent - just like they were when they couldn't even do the simple lay-up shot of getting rid of the odious Obamacare. He says the election is "critically important", but the GOP scam is to just stand around like innocent bystanders and let the Left run roughshod over We The People. They are the retards who video the beating and murder of someone then condemn the killers rather than stepping in and stopping it from happening in the first place. Lee even admitted that his role in the 100 member Senate is to simply write "sternly written letters" rather than abolishing the violating agency. Reining in the agencies aren't even on the table. Yep - my mom developed Parkinson's years ago. For a long time it was just tremors; now it's marked physical decline and - worst of all - nearly constant hallucinations. She has moments when she realizes that she's "seeing" things that aren't real, and then two minutes later she's having a conversation with an invisible person. Yes. Dimensionally the same as the .500 S&W Magnum My petite spouse was plinking with the .45LC at the range when the hilarity of her size to the hand cannon drew the interest of a dude in a neighboring booth who wanted to "experience" the .460 So I loaded the .460 and told him that this is a serious round and he should stack his wrist to avoid muzzle flip. He promptly put the hammer into the middle of his forehead. While he was recovering, the wife was shooting .45LC from the same gun. He recovered and asked for a second chance, not noticing the blood slowly dripping from his forehead. "Sure", loaded another .460 and cautioned him again. Broke his glasses on the second try. It was VERY hard not to laugh. Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at July 31, 2024 07:27 PM (rP48S) 122

The short barrel version for Alaskan grizzly defense probably, but the scoped hunting version the problem isn't the recoil (which is magnum) but the concussion and the escaping gasses around where the cylinder meets the barrel. I was referring to the Big Horn lever action carbine in .500 S&W. No, I didn't get to fire one. But I did see a gent shooting one at the Texas City Municipal Range. No barrel/cylinder gap. The recoil was simply physics of action/reaction, and the attendant muzzle blast. IMPRESSIVE recoil impulse, as evident by the effect on his torso and cheek-weld. And for what it's worth, a 240 gr. .44 Mag isn't much fun out of a Marlin or Henry lever, either. Those, I have shot. I find the M-44 Mosin more tolerable to shoot, than those. MAYBE he realized that if he kept up his milquetoast 'bipartisan' nonsense up he was finished because they were trying to get rid of him, and his only refuge was actual conservatives. Posted by: DudeAbiding at July 31, 2024 11:50 PM (AjL/0) Processing 0.02, elapsed 0.0325 seconds. |
