Border Czar Kamala Harris Positioned Three Hamas Terrorists For Success Last Month

Border agents detained three Palestinian migrants who illegally crossed the southern border after they were found to have possible ties to terrorist organizations earlier this month, according to sources. One of the migrants had "salacious photos" on their phone -- including a picture of a masked man holding an AK-47 rifle, federal law enforcement sources said. In addition to the three Palestinians, federal authorities caught one migrant from Turkey who was also suspected of having ties to terror groups.
The migrants were among groups of dozens of migrants who turned themselves in to border agents at the San Diego sector, said sources. An investigation into the migrants is ongoing, sources said. The group was transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating their cases. ... It's the latest example of potential security threats entering the US via the southern border -- especially at San Diego. Overwhelmed Border Patrol agents tell The Post that they do not have the tools to fully vet the migrants who are coming in from all over the world -- particularly into the San Diego area. Mostly, they are only able to use US terror watchlists and other American resources to help determine which migrants could be a terror threat. Border agents do not have access to terror or criminal databases from other countries. "Knowing who these guys are, we have, like, no access to anything international. Like, we really don't and it kind of sucks," said one border agent, who spoke anonymous because they were not authorized to give public statements.
Israel War Update "I wanted to get into Border Patrol and protect from terrorists. And it's like, well, I probably let terrorists in the country." A Customs and Border Protection spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. It's unclear which terrorist organization the migrants were allegedly affiliated with. However, border agents in the San Diego sector were warned to be on the lookout for individuals tied to Palestinian terrorist groups after the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel.

In high school, I had two friends who joined the military for the expressed purpose of working to prevent another 9/11 from happening. These guys both understood the whole "move the nexus of conflict to foreign shores" thing, and were down.

It's a contradiction in terms. I'm with Kamala on this one, though for different reasons.
There is Islamic terrorism. They're the world's biggest producers of terrorism. But it is decidedly *not* "radical." Islamic terrorism is not radical, and it does not require religious radicalism. Terrorism is a well-developed standard procedure and regular tool. It isn't "radical" in the slightest, it's just another tool in the toolbox and not a particularly special one.

When I was College Mannix in upstate NY, some enterprising young chaps on campus did this. Bootlegging cigarettes, which is very easy to do in NY because large amounts of the state are near another state or an Indian reservation.
These guys would take orders and go to the Rez once or twice a month to buy smokes, then sell them to their customers for less than the gas station and pocket the difference. Straightforward, old-school bootlegging. Going out to the Rez for a pack doesn't make a lot of sense, but going out for a carton can.
There is *always* going to be someone willing to accept the risks of "regulatory arbitrage" if the spread is wide enough. The higher you make compliance costs, the more spread you create and the more opportunity for bootlegging.

Durations, but close enough. The very short end - where things are measured in weeks instead of years - is higher than the medium or long ends, and the shorter the term, the higher the price. Not normal. Long money should cost more than short money, and it's been inverted for a long time now. Often a recession indicator.
There may be some manipulation involved (see Whig @ 299) to keep mortgage rates under control, but this is a *huge* market that is hard to manipulate. There is a ton of rate arbitrage going on right now and some firms are getting stinking rich doing it, but it's extremely risky. They're snatching pennies from in front a steam roller. It's working out well right now, but it's very fragile and is likely a systemic risk. If it turns sideways, a massive source of market liquidity is going to vanish.
We are in interesting times.

No problem. What type of music are you actually playing? There are a shit ton of pickups out there these days to really fine tune your tone. What I recommended were pickups to keep you somewhat close to what you have now, just a little more optimized with a little more crunch and definition.

Watched it on Netflix over the weekend. OK buddy action heist movie type thing. For the first half.
But a ridiculous plot line with the helicopter. Why not take 1/2 the money at a time over the mountain? And then on the other side, leave the money there go get another helicopter.

With one or two exceptions, those kids all got red Firebirds. Everyone else had the pick ups and cars. Except for my buddy who had a sweet red Gran Torino.
A classmate in college had a grey VW Thing. He and his dad drove it cross country from CA that summer. Must have been a fun trip.

My own stuff. It's alternative, I guess? I'm a chord banger + keyboard work. I like a clean, fat rhythm sound with a bit of grit from the amp. That creates the background radiation for the lead guitar, keys, and bass to do their thing over. For effects, right now I'm exclusively using a Boss SY-300, the jazz clean sound that has a great delay feature.
