The Morning Report — 7/29/24

Kamalabadge.jpg

Good Morning Kids. If you look across most of the categories, Kamala Harris and her utter ineptitude or corruption loom large in whatever she is associated with. First of all the whole notion of her as being put in charge by Biden of securing our border is a complete farce, in that since day one of their illegitimate junta, their mission has been the erasure of our border and whatever was left of any immigration controls that were still extant during the Trump years. Considering at least 8 million if not double that figure of undocumented invaders have entered our country in the past four years, and are now completely imbedded here and along with the upwards of 30 million or more illegal aliens that have come here in the past however many decades will be nigh impossible to remove, without major upheavals and possible bloodshed, even if the political will and the bureaucratic machinery and wherewithal were in place to give rise to the mother of all Operation Wetbacks. As you contemplate that pipe dream, In the immortal words of Robert Palmer, I didn't mean to turn you on.

With that one example in mind, and with the Middle East set to become a potential flashpoint for a regional if not global conflagration,

here's this item to ponder: Hail to our border czar! I mean, point person, or whatever label the media slaps on her so it can absolve her of any culpability in the disaster that she and Biden caused.

San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents reportedly apprehended three suspected Palestinian terrorists after they illegally crossed the border between ports of entry. The suspected terrorists illegally crossed the Mexican border into California, according to a news report. Border Patrol agents took three suspected Palestinian terrorists into custody earlier this month after they illegally crossed the border from Mexico into California, the New York Post reported. One of the men reportedly had a “salacious photo” of a masked man holding an AK-47 rifle, the article states.

A source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection told Breitbart Texas they could not confirm the report but said it is “highly likely.” Information on Special Interest Aliens (SIA) is generally not disseminated outside of the sector originating the report to be sent to higher headquarters.

Another source told Breitbart that San Diego Sector agents are apprehending so many SIAs that the report is “highly probable.”

. . . The list of nations includes migrants from Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Anguilla, Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Congo, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Guinea, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Liberia, Lithuania, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Romania, Russia. Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Syria, Taiwan, Togo, Turkiye, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.

Many of those nations include countries with direct ties to terrorism.

Well, you can't make an omelette unless your chickens come home to roost!

'America, what did you do?’ pastor Amos Brown said six days after 9/11

After [so-called quote-unquote] President Joe Biden stepped aside on Sunday and Vice President Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee, one of the first people she called was her longtime pastor, Amos Brown. "She said to me, ‘Pastor, I called because I want you to pray for me … this country … and the race I am intending to run for president,’" Brown told the Christian publication Sojourners in an interview.

Harris and Brown, the longtime pastor of San Francisco’s Third Baptist Church, have known each other for nearly a quarter century, and the two have remained close throughout her vice presidency. In July of 2023, Harris posted a picture of the two to the vice president’s Instagram account and described Brown as "an inspiration to me always."

Less well known, however, is Brown’s history of radical, anti-American remarks that have elicited blowback even from San Francisco Democrats, including former House speaker Nancy Pelosi.

At a memorial service for victims of the 9/11 terror attacks held just six days after al Qaeda murdered nearly 3,000 Americans, Brown used the occasion to point the finger at the United States in remarks that, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, "set a lot of people’s teeth on edge" and "left politicians stunned."

If any of this is a surprise to you, you're either a babe in the woods, or else you were not paying attention in the run up to the 2008 presidential race, or for that matter to what was going on in this nation during the 196os, and what is being taught in schools to this very day; the complete distortion of history in service to the erasure of our collective memory and the dismantling of what still remains of the greatest nation and society in history.

Kamala Harris is not an outlier. She is merely representative of what the (anti) American left was is and always will be.

    ABOVE THE FOLD, BREAKING, NOTEWORTHY

  • Robert Zimmerman: "And if Donald Trump is not re-elected? I guarantee Kamala Harris will strengthen the weaponization of the FBI and CIA in favor of the Democrat Party, and accelerate its use as a means to squelch, imprison, and defame her opponents."
Report: Law enforcement officers nationwide no longer trust the FBI, and will not work with it
  • Victor Davis Hanson: Many Americans feel that the country has become unrecognizable due to decades of globalization and a technological revolution that has eroded middle-class livelihoods and deepened social divides.

40 Interesting take from Christopher Rufo on Vance. He pojnts out that PDJT identifies with and draws in working class voters, while Vance has appeal to elites, thanks to his ties to billionaires, and they make a great match (as a ticket). Trump's biggest weakness in his first term was his personnel decisions, IMO, so I wonder (and hope) if Vance helps fix that problem in the second term.

First paragraph:

"JD Vance’s beloved grandmother — Mamaw, as he called her — hated organized religion, didn’t go to church and hung a drawing of Jesus in her house that presented him as a kind everyman. So when Vance became drawn to Catholicism, with its hierarchy, intellectual rigor and art showing an imperial Jesus, he said, he worried what his late grandmother would think."

95 The reason Dems are really stuck with Kamala now - they went “all in” on her nomination way too hard, way too fast. When Joe first dropped out it might have been possbile to choose a new nominee from a choice of several at an open convention. But now, after every official in the Dem Party, past and present, have been singing her praises nonstop - they can’t pull the plug on this one. 137 After [so-called quote-unquote] President Joe Biden stepped aside on Sunday and Vice President Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee, one of the first people she called was her longtime pastor, Amos Brown. "She said to me, ‘Pastor, I called because I want you to pray for me … this country … and the race I am intending to run for president,’" Brown told the Christian publication Sojourners in an interview.
-

"Sojourners is a progressive monthly magazine and daily online publication of the American Christian social justice organization Sojourners, which arose out of the Sojourners Community. It was first published in 1971 under the original title of The Post-American."

Who do you see sitting on the Democrat bench that they could install and would change the trajectory of where this race is headed?

Whitmer and Newsom have already said they don't want it, Buttguy isn't going to rally the troops. And if there isn't someone who is going to massively improve their position they run the risk of depressing their turnout even more and crushing down ballot races.

But all the Democrats repeating the lies that Vance is polling poorly?
They are desperate to get the old Republicans back. The losers who found ways to lose. The ones who fell for the lies that they need to appeal to moderates to win--betray the base for votes in deep blue states.
Trump doesn't need suburban wine moms in California.
He needs non college, working class voters in the Midwest.

Trump and Vance appeal to the voters needed to win. Voters Harris will never get.
That's why the all-out blitz to desperately try and trick Trump into dumping Vance. (Or at least trick the voters into thinking Trump's commitment to Vance and a MAGA future isn't sincere)

I'd suggest that Trump's biggest weakness in his first term was similar to mine and likely many of yours.

He assumed that people working with and around him loved America and Americans and were working in pursuit of goals to help America and Americans. I suspect Trump was blindsided same as many of us.

Kamala Harris was in the U.S. Senate for four years.

She introduced 118 bills. The majority of them were about absurd, niche left-wing pet issues—race quotas, "climate equity," squatters' rights, etc.

Guess how many of those bills actually became law?

They can try and redefine Harris all they want but it's not really working. The difference between places like Twitter 2020 and now is that now Trump supporters can fight back without being censored. Kamala Harris, with the help of the media, has misrepresented her role as a “parent” to make it appear that she has raised children when she has not.

In her 2020 speech after media declared Biden/Harris won, she called Cole and Ella Emhoff “our children.” But they are not.

Why?

Because many voters think being a parent—meaning raising children—is a basic qualification for high office.

Doug and Kamala got married 10 years ago. Cole was 18 and Ella was 15. They split time between their actual parents.

Sure “Momala is a cute nickname but it’s also designed to once again give Harris credit for a job she did not do.

Step parents can be invaluable in fixing a broken family no doubt. This is not to demean stepparents in any way.

But Kamala Harris did not raise “children” as she suggests.

She was almost 50 when she got married.

Further, at the time, she was AG for the biggest state in the country and planning her run for US Senate.

But “family” means more than her political titles? Give me a small break.

Her job took priority. Ain't Need No Man took priority. Now it's the equivalent to stolen valor to pretend that she had some important role in "raising" a 15 year old that she was 25% responsible for, split time with, and almost certainly was not allowed to discipline.

2. It's obviously an audio/mumble situation.

It was not an audio/mumble situation. Trump clearly finished the statement by saying he will have everything fixed in 4 years so there would be no need to ever vote again.

He was obviously joking and they even more obviously cut that part of the statement to make it look like he said something he didn't. These tactics aren't working anymore.

I’m not a Trump person but I don’t see him as Hitler either. I think if you have a bias toward HATING him, you take things like “dictator” (clearly a joke), “bloodbath” (economy), and now “the last time you’ll have to vote” way too much in a worst-possible light. Here, what I got from it was that he was saying the people who don’t want to vote can keep staying home after this election because he’s going to fix the country if they vote for him. Then they can keep staying home, or, never have to vote again. But about 2/5 of the country actually do believe he was saying we’d never have an election again. That’s not a realistic interpretation in my view.

JinXer Felix @jinxerfelix
Yes, Cenk. When you take his statements in their entirety instead of clipping out a portion of it - he means what he says.

He was speaking tongue in cheek to a voting block that is usually reluctant to get to the polls.

He was explaining that he was going to make sure the voting process was secure but he needs EVERYONE to participate.

339 St.s Martha, Mary And Lazarus
St. Martha (1st c.) was a pious Jewish woman from Bethany near Jerusalem. She was a close friend of Jesus during his earthly ministry, as was her brother, St. Lazarus, and her sister, St. Mary of Bethany (St. Mary Magdalene - separate feast day on July 22nd).* The Gospels tell us that "Jesus loved Martha, and her sister Mary and Lazarus." Martha would serve the Lord faithfully when he was a guest in her home, once busying herself so much with her work that she neglected to spend time enjoying his presence, for which she earned a gentle rebuke from Our Lord. Martha had great faith in Christ, especially evidenced in her belief that he could raise her brother Lazarus from the dead. In the Gospels we read that St. Martha testified that Jesus was the Son of God even before his Passion and Resurrection. According to tradition, after the Ascension of Jesus into heaven, St. Martha gathered a group of women together to live, pray, and do penance in common, one of the early Christian houses of consecrated women. St. Martha is the patron of servers, maids, butlers, servants, single laywomen, homemakers, housewives, and cooks.

If you’ve ever wondered why Marxists hardly talk about the personal life of their god, Karl Marx, it’s because he was basically the original Redditor ⬇️

Karl Marx was a chronically unemployed drunk pig with a severe spending problem who lived on handouts from his family and others.

Despite the most famous image of Marx portraying him as clean & sophisticated, he was a slob in actuality. He was such a slob that he had to be reminded to bathe, and visitors to his home wrote that sitting down in house of squalor would “risk you a pair of trousers.”

While writing about abolishing inheritance, Marx was collecting inheritance from his family and his aristocrat wife’s family. Any money given to them would be gone almost as fast as they received it due to Marx’s immature spending. He also refused to work of course.

He was vocally pro-slavery and even had an indentured servant who he never paid a penny. He would later end up getting this indentured servant pregnant and tried blaming it on his good friend, Engels.

Harris wants "equity" in outcomes, not just equal opportunities.

If you are not good with math, or economics, or history, or psychology, or thinking in general, let me explain what that means.

It means that if you do everything right, and work hard to build an average or above average life, Harris wants to take that from you and your family and give it to people who didn't earn it the way you did.

It also means the complete destruction of the economic system over a short period of time. History is emphatic about that

Fact Check: Jennifer Aniston Falsely Claims JD Vance Wants to Ban IVF | Breitbart News

Friends star Jennifer Aniston has jumped in to the election fray, positioning herself as the patron saint of childless cat ladies everywhere after the mainstream news media dug up Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance’s long-ago comment about Kamala Harris.

But in so doing, the Hollywood star also ended up spreading fake news about Vance’s position on IVF.

In her defense of cat ladies, Jennifer Aniston erroneously claimed that JD Vance wanted to take away womens’ access to in vitro fertilization.

“All I can say is … Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day,” Aniston wrote on Instagram. “I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”

However, Vance voiced his support for IVF in a February interview with local NBC affiliate WCMH-TV, during which he said he, Trump, and “pretty much every Republican that I know is pro-fertility treatments.”

“My view is babies are good, families are good,” Vance said. “And I want there to be as much access to fertility treatment as possible. And I think 99 percent of people agree with me, Democrat, Republican, or in the middle.”

Biden will announce Supreme Court reform plans next week | Politico

Biden is likely to endorse term limits for the justices, an ethics code and a constitutional amendment limiting presidential immunity.

President Joe Biden plans to unveil a proposal on Monday for dramatically reforming the Supreme Court, two people familiar with the matter told POLITICO.

Biden is likely to endorse establishing term limits for justices and an enforceable code of ethics, in an announcement that represents a remarkable shift for a president who had long resisted calls to overhaul the high court.

He is also expected to push for a constitutional amendment limiting immunity for presidents and certain other officeholders, in a response to the court’s July 1 ruling that presidents are shielded from prosecution for “official acts” during their time in office, in a case brought by former President Donald Trump.

Posted by: andycanuck (wse2C) at July 29, 2024 08:49 AM (wse2C)

436 Owen Gregorian @OwenGregorian July 27
The specifics of the proposal remain unclear and could still change, said the people, who were granted anonymity to discuss internal planning. Biden is expected to call for the overhaul during a trip to Texas, where he’s set to speak at the Lyndon Baines Johnson presidential library in Austin.

The White House declined to comment, referring back to press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s remarks on Thursday that Biden “believes if you are serving in high office, you should be held to a transparency, accountability and you should be held to a high ethics.”

The proposal comes as Biden has grown increasingly critical of the Supreme Court and its decisions, including rulings by its conservative majority that eliminated federal abortion rights, gutted affirmative action in higher education and blocked stricter gun regulations and other priorities of his administration.

A bit worse, I think. It's derived from the old Marxist claptrap, but at least the old Marxist claptrap had room for interpretation. Determining what "needs" are, and which "needs" of which people should be satisfied - basically, how to arbitrate wealth and corruption absent any form of objectivity - is a hopelessly corrupt way to do things and leads to all sorts of predatory and monstrous behavior but there is at least *room* for argumentation (though practically, of course, it's just raw power).

Contemporary Post-Modern "equity" arguments are somehow worse. Equity has no room for argumentation. You *shall* evenly distribute outcomes at the meta-group level (whites, men, etc.) and let the power players within the group steal as steal can - but only from each-other. Keep them at each-others' throats within, and at the opposing groups' throats without.

Nasty business.

Aniston isn't just childless, but grew up the daughter of an actor in NYC-ish area, and has lived most/all of her adult life as a wealthy, privileged VIP. From what I can see, her life is focused on taking care of herself (an ex said she did yoga for hours every day) and renovating her latest home. I'm sure she's nice, but not really someone who understands what most of America has/is experiencing outside of her Hollywood bubble.

Meh, c'mon. They were imitating Christian iconography.

The simple fact is that the LowIQ Weirdos of the gay/trannie/pedophile left want to replace Christianity with their own "religion" and they feel that Dionysus/Bacchus fills the bill.

A depiction of a typical feast of Dionysus would look considerably different than stately Last Supper.

It would be a wild drunken affair featuring angry drunk women called "Maenads". Their name literally means "the angry or raving ones.

Euripides gives a pretty good accounting of these out of control "rites' and the Maenads in his play "The Bacchae"

Angry, out of control drunk women?

Sounds like the perfect religion for Democrat Wine Moms.

In any event, don't believe the lie.

568 The Olympics article in the sidebar is fascinating. The Korean swim team decamped from the Olympic Village and is handling its own transportation for time and comfort reasons.

Apparently transit from the Village to the venue takes too long, and the windows on the buses are taped shut for some reason, and they don't use A/C for "sustainability" reasons and so it's too damn hot and stuffy and they hate it so they left.

The difference in fuel economy with A/C off vs. A/C on, especially in low-speed traffic, is negligible. They're saving nothing by turning off A/C in the buses.

Austerity is coming whether you vote Dem or GOP. You can choose the form of your fiscal destructor but not whether or not it comes.

The end result will be default--soft and informal (via inflating the debt away) or hard and formal (haircuts, etc.). Both are likely to destroy the reserve currency status and will end outsourcing and insourcing by globalists as the US will resemble the recovering nations in the West after WWII or the Eastern bloc after the Communists were run out. That is what happens when other people's money runs out in a society.

It is the act of committing. That's a big thing. My wife and I married long after additional children were a possibility. However, us committing to one another for life was/is an outward sign that we'll do whatever we can to make it work.

I think that's conditioning, too.

No matter how Boss Babe someone is, she's still a little girl who dreamt of weddings and made little flower decorations as a child.

Ideally the women saved themselves for marriage and the men are getting at least that as prize for the exclusive financial risk that won't lead any offspring.

It's an odd scenario and might be unprecedented. There is basically no unencumbered capital left in the world. Virtually every nation is a debtor nation, the leverage is topping out because there's basically nothing left to put into hock.

And even those who do own unencumbered capital (regardless of level, be it individual or nation) are at the mercy of those who don't. My house is paid off, but its value is, like everything else, set on the margins. Most of my neighbors are leveraged to the hilt (statistically, anyway - I don't know their specific conditions). The "value" of my house is determined by all those encumbered properties that surround it. When the wheels come off, *everything* crashes to the liquidation price. I'm still better off (I have 100% equity and so can suffer losses without being directly affected by them), but my net worth is still dependent on the encumbrances that surround me.

Now scale that up to the entire planet.

The female guests refused to believe it and referenced a celebrity who just had a healthy child at 40. The male guest then asked them "why do you think the celeb didn't mention her pregnancy until after the child was born and seen to be healthy?" and...the female guests just denied up and down that maybe having a kid at 40 is riskier then 20...
