My grandmother did a white crochet of the last supper, framed on a red background. But she was Lutheran. I don't think the painting only represents Catholicism, certainly the last supper of the Bible is not particular to Catholicism.
The ideas of the Eucharist and "Mass" and priests are interpretations, expanded on over time.

It is my understanding the Jesus Christ WAS the Passover lamb that year, offered at Passover. So this was a last supper, not Passover. But I'd have to go way back and check my notes.
JC was the true lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice. The other (actual) lambs were symbolic. JC is now our high priest forever, after the order of Melchizedec (Hebrews). (as well as a Christian's brother, and Lord ... head of the Body).

state? I know what the IOC did in Paris is repulsive. They got a ton of negative feedback after the love broadcast and cut the Last Supper part for prime time, at least in the west coast. I was looking for it.
As far as the rest of the broadcast, I didn't find it awful. I thought parts were done well. Too bad the focus was on everything BUT the athletes.

Of course the ceremony had meaning, and a nefarious one at that. However, these athletes had nothing whatsoever to do with the political crapola of the ceremonies, didn't know they were going to be awful, but they did spend their entire lives preparing for an event. I doubt many folks went to be in the Olympics thinking about their political statements. They went to compete.
