10 Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered a review of 20 Medals of Honor given to U.S. soldiers for their actions during the 1890 Battle of Wounded Knee, which later became known as a massacre of Native Americans, to make certain the awards were warranted.

The reassessment — requested by Congress in 2022 — will be completed by a five-person panel of experts charged with examining each individual recipient’s actions during the incident at Wounded Knee Creek in South Dakota, Austin wrote in a July 19 memorandum. He ordered the panel to provide a recommendation to retain or rescind each individual Medal of Honor by Oct. 15.

“The scope of the [panel’s] review is limited to reviewing each [Wounded Knee Creek Medal of Honor] awardee’s individual actions during this specific engagement on or about Dec. 29, 1890,” Austin wrote in the memo made public Wednesday. The panel “may consider the context of the overall engagement as appropriate, including as necessary to understand each … recipient’s individual actions.”

We snorkeled with them too! Like a giant leather couch gliding by. Reach out to touch them and a cloud of dust blooms up in the water.

We were in brackish water with low visibility unfortunately, so I think there was a lot of silt in the water that collected on their backs.

66 I have two Dolphin painted paintings in my house. 12" x 12". Mothers day gifts to my wife from my son, as we wound up at some dolphin place in California a couple of Mothers Days while he was in HS band. Couldn't afford the big, big 18" x 18" ones but some of them were just bad ass. We watched one of them being painted and it was fun to watch the dolphin look and then do a couple of brush strokes and look again.
I would love to get an Elephant painted one.

Intel says they fixed the manufacturing problem that caused the oxidation.

They just didn't bother to tell anybody for two years and are now claiming that the issue "only affected a small number" of 13th Gen chips.

The real issue is that Intel kept having to push their chips with more and more power to keep up with AMD on clocks and now they're degrading faster as a result.

Add in "Algorithm" problems with rust and you've got yourself a hot mess.
