Mother Nature wants you to know that you are really never safe.

A BREACHING whale crashed into a boat on Tuesday in Portsmouth Harbor, capsizing the vessel while catapulting multiple people into the water.

A video taken by a pair of brothers on a nearby ship captured the terrifying ordeal, showing the exact moment a whale submerged a fishing boat near the New Hampshire coast.

Would-Be Bride Busted Over Prenup Battery
Police: Days before wedding, woman, 26, lands behind bars

JULY 23--A couple set to be married this weekend got into an argument over signing a prenuptial agreement that turned violent and resulted in the would-be bride’s arrest for domestic battery, according to court records.

Investigators allege that Molly Rose Hogan, 26, and the male victim were engaged in a pre-nuptials quarrel late Sunday night in their St. Petersburg, Florida residence.

The victim told cops that Hogan grabbed him around the head and struck him on the chest, torso, back, and legs, causing “multiple physical injuries.” The attack, the man said, was prompted by “a heated argument over signing a prenuptial agreement prior to marriage.”

To be honest with you folks, she has "The Look" down pat. She could have committed mayhem with just that stare.

But fortunately, the police knew how to teach them a lesson after one of them hit the policeman, and this is how terrorist Muslims must be dealt with, as they only understand the language of force.

63 The thing about hearing music on the radio from the past, and even if you are on one of them computer thingies, they all do the "sampler plate" songs list: 3 or 4 Van Halen songs, 3 or 4 Queen songs, 3 or 4 Black Sabbath songs, 3 or 4 Metallica songs.

Worse: 1 Thin Lizzy song, 1 Alice Cooper song, 1 BOC song.

Worst of all: Sweet Home Alabama, and Another One Bite the Dust.

The playlist on my home computer dwarfs what you will hear on the friggin' radio or most of those internet venues.

Bottom line: what you hear on the radio (or internet) does not even begin to encapsulate the depth of most bands.

72 The History behind the Laughing Barrel (racist origins of attacking Kamala Harris for her laugh) Did you know that slaves were not permitted to laugh when on the plantation? White people viewed slaves laughing as a form of disrespect to them. Some plantation owners had barrels set up on the plantation and when a slave heard something funny they would have to run off to one of these barrels in order to laugh. Now you know where the term "barrel of laughs" comes from.

@Nay_Landell As a slavery scholar I have to chime in. Many historical sources substantiate her claim. Particularly regarding American plantations, laughter was seen as idling/laziness,as per racial stereotypes, often resulting in punishment

MAGA extremist **NOT** being racist will be man bights dog. They can't use the "angry black woman" trope on her, and her contagious joy infuriates them. Finding effective weapons to defeat a happy warrior is beyond their capacity.

In addition, shaming women for laughing is a common tactic for misogynists. They harped on HRC about her laugh only they called hers a cackle.

100 I can't believe that the Left has even destroyed the joy of cheering for the US . I just learned they selected LeBron James and Coco Gauff to lead the team as Flag bearers. We all know about James and his anti American / pro CCP rhetoric as well as his BLM racism. Not as well known is Coco Gauff's recent statement that Florida was racist because of DeSantis and his policies and dangerous for black people to live there.

Add that in to the US women's soccer team and Brittany Griner's anti American statements and you got me rooting we don't win a medal.

As an actual historian with extensive experience in colonial and antebellum American studies, everything in that post is bullsh*t. Slaves in America laughed, sang, danced, and engaged in myriad other forms of recreation, and there's a whole slough of primary sources to substantiate that fact.

To be sure, they also suffered cruelly much of the time, for any number of reasons. But life under slavery was an order of magnitude more complex than this silly summary.

1. The Russians scrambled fighters to chase a British surveillance plane away from Crimea. About the same time, a missile strike took out an Odessa warehouse supposedly filled with naval drones, as two Russian missile ships headed towards Ukraine. Perhaps the start of something big?

The town of Tequila, which gives the liquor its name, is a center for tourism, receiving an average of more than one million visitors annually from Mexico and abroad, according to data from the mayor’s office.

In February, Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies approved a law to change National Tequila Day from the third Saturday of March to July 24, to coincide with the same date celebrated in the United States, its northern neighbor and largest trading partner.

The U.S. is the largest market for Mexican tequila exports. Adjusted for inflation, between 2014 and 2019, tequila imports increased from $1.1 billion to $4.9 billion, according to 2023 figures from the US Department of Agriculture.||

-Joe fails and gets thrown overboard,
-and now the low-IQ woman of color locks up the black women's vote and many black men.

I don't know how the transition from the current system would work to get the new schedule in place.

421 Muldoon, the US used to have fractional bills for sub-dollar amounts. They were issued by private regional and state sponsored banks back when the private banks issued their own money, supposedly backed by their gold reserves, before the Federal Reserve act.
at that time the Federal mint had a monopoly on coined silver and gold, of course, but the banks (and a few businesses like rail roads) would issue bank notes, and often when coins were rare, the bank would issue the fractional notes as well.
Local banks were not supposed to issue their own minted coins, but the shortages did get some ways around it, both by fractional notes, and in Oregon, for example, there was such a shortage of currency during the territorial days, a group of businessmen bought out a number of private mints working with gold from California and set up their own coinage for 5 and 10 dollar coins, called Beavers.

Re: The music comment...

I listen to new music. I also listen to albums I listened to in high school. I can find a new band (or new to me band, whatever the case may be) and jam it loud and then turn around on a dime and blast Pantera's Vulgar Display Of Power for the 9,583,486,163,907th time since I discovered it in junior high.

Why?

Beats the shit out of me, really. I avoid shitty music, so that helps. Knowing what moves me helps even more. I think that's the biggest thing. Knowing what kind of music I like and why I like it. I don't pretend to enjoy everything. I also try not to ruin a good thing by running it into the ground. I don't have Slayer's South Of Heaven on repeat every waking moment. Otherwise I just go with whatever I want in the moment. If I desire something new or just want to listen to the classics, I just go with it. I never really think about it.

The restaurant was more than happy to take dollars. Somehow we worked out a 3-way currency trade where everybody came out ahead, probably because the street exchange rate for dollars/drachmas was so much better than the official rate.

The auspices were taken using the sacred chickens, but they would not eat. He had them thrown overboard saying 'If they're not hungry, maybe they're thirsty.' There are so many memes we can float about Kamala. I don't think even Trump can use them, but...

She is the embodiment of the principle, "You can grab 'em by the pu$$y." (No, he definitely can't use that.) That statement is a cynical but realistic assessment of an industry -- like showbiz, or politics -- in which women will sleep their way to the top if surer than actually working. She can harp all she wants about Trump's sexual escapades, but her path to political power ran through the bedroom of a powerful, older, married man.

And credit to someone on the internet: Women hate Trump because he supposedly had side chicks. Kamala literally WAS the side chick.

OHHHH, so you're the fresh, forward-looking one while Trump is a relic of the past? Tell me, veep, how long have you been in politics? You started in 1990?? That's about 35 years now. Trump got in in 2015 -- and he did it by getting ELECTED, how about that? First he won a primary against about a dozen pros and then he won the general against Hillary the Connected, thus knocking out a corrupt political dynasty that started in the 1970s.

How about Trump's foreign policy? He was the first to meet with the North Korean leader. He moved the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. He damn near got Saudi Arabia to give diplomatic recognition to Israel, but I guess Joe the Zombie prevented that.

I could say so much more about how "fresh" and "different" and "youthful" you are, but I'd like to turn to the deceit and decay in the administration you were half of...

Many of us who love Israel spent time today listening to Israeli citizens whose families have suffered in the wake of the October 7th Hamas terror attack and kidnappings.

These families are asking for a ceasefire deal that will bring the hostages home – and we hope the Prime Minister would spend his time achieving that goal.

When I first moved out to this neck of the woods in NE Washington, Navy planes from Whidbey Island would make practice attack runs on Spokane. We're about 50 miles north and apparently right in their attack line. More then a couple times they came in under the deck. I could see the pilot. We would hear them coming and run outside. They will give you a price that takes into consideration their cost for moving it, but if it is anyways a decent shop they will give you an ID on it and their value, and they will hope you sell it to them, or trade it for something you like better.
You can take the information on it and decide if you like it better than the money it will fetch.
