Good Morning Kids. The attempt on Trump's life over the weekend remains the top story and now there's a new wrinkle to add which Ace touched upon late yesterday. Evidently, intel sources are revealing that they were tipped off about an Iranian plot to take Trump out. And yet despite supposedly beefing up security around Trump this Crooks character was able to get up on a roof and get off a round on Trump. Rooftop slope notwithstanding.

The Trump campaign would not disclose whether it was made aware of the Iran threat. “We do not comment on President Trump’s security detail. All questions should be directed to The United States Secret Service,” the campaign said in a statement.
The Secret Service recently “added protective resources and capabilities to the former President’s security detail,” agency spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement on Sunday.
Secret Service officials have warned the Trump campaign repeatedly against holding outdoor rallies, which pose greater risks than events to which the agency can better control access, people briefed on the matter said. The warnings have been more general in nature, the sources said.
Security concerns forced Trump’s campaign to halt spontaneous events where the Secret Service couldn’t sweep guests.

This is bullshit. That said, the Biden junta's close ties to Iran vis a vis the drive to make them the power brokers in the middle east and desire to abandon Israel, puts this in a very disturbing light, and cannot be dismissed. Trump back in power is not good news for Iran and of course Foggy Bottom.

With Trump’s security detail understaffed, under-resourced, and stretched to its limits, Biden’s security regime reportedly diverted even more resources to a hastily planned Jill Biden event that just happened to be in the area.
Biden’s security regime then ordered the most obvious assassination perch in the entire area to remain outside the main security perimeter.
Furthermore, Biden’s Secret Service director ordered law enforcement and counter-snipers OFF the roof the assassin used.
If that weren’t enough, Biden’s security regime also refused to block the line of sight from the assassin’s perch to Trump’s location. When law enforcement radioed in a suspicious person using a laser range finder at the building and even took photos of him, nothing was done to detain the assassin.

Meanwhile outside the RNC there were at least two incidents where an armed suspect was shot and killed and another armed with an AK-47 wearing a ski mask was apprehended.

So, even if a massive cheat fails and Trump wins, there is no way in hell the Left will ever cede one iota of power and influence, be it in government or anywhere in our society. And yet there are signs of trouble in worker's paradise. No not the true believers and unreachable brainwashed drones, but others like the working class, and even blacks and other disaffected reliable Democrats that realize everything they've been told is a lie. Time will tell. But what cannot go on will not go on. Maybe we are at that inflection point in history. Please God it's a point where a correction occurs, and not the plunge into the abyss.

Morning all. Thought Vivek was great but historically the Chief of Staff is a connected Washington veteran who knows how to move legislation and presidential priorities. That’s not Vivek but he needs a role somewhere.

Trump will need a Chief who knows the ropes well but is committed to destroying the traditional way of doing things. I haven’t got a clue who that would be. It damn sure isn’t Graham.

The Left are somewhat correct in characterizing MAGA America as having a cult like obsession with Trump. The desire to use a broad brush is there, but there is a common underlying projection of the idea of Hope on to the character of Trump. That is why the "Fight, Fight, Fight" is winning new converts.

Trump Hope is the antidote to Biden Despair, no matter how that calculus is reached. Absent Hope, there will be a crossing of the thresholds of many to have restraint. Many will reach the conclusion that the only answer to this chaos is violence.

This is why I stopped with the "voting doesn't matter" rhetoric, it may be true due to the cheat, but the alternative is violence.

When people say, "Screw It" and vent their frustrations in the form of violence, you have a chaotic CW2.

Right now, we have Hope. It may be misplaced, but it is standing in the way of unchecked violence from Despair.

I clean the outer unit every year since we have cottonwood trees everywhere and that shit clogs everything. I've also gone into the evaporator and cleaned the coils on the A-Frame. It's moving the most air it's moved in years and it's blowing in the mid 50's in temp.

I run the AC at 73 in the morning 74 to midday, then up it to 76 in the afternoon. It struggles to hold 78 and runs constantly from about 6 pm to Midnight when the temps get above 95 or so outside. I did install attic foil in about 2/3's of the attic (radiant barrier) and redid the duct work several years ago. I know the remainder of insulation in the attic isn't stellar and the windows are sieves for the most part.

None of the events of the past few weeks, from Joe's bad debate to trump being shot at, changes the overall race. Those Biden supporters who are questioning his age, while a valid concern, will not cause them to vote for trump. Biden beat trump in 2020, and trump's base has certainly not expanded since then.

The media is acting like this is their 1st election, polling always ebbs and flows. You can't panic every time it ebbs. Obama lost 5 points with his bad debate and Mitt was polling ahead for the 1st time. Two weeks later (before their 2nd debate) Obama's numbers had snapped back.

I had a thought about Biden being a rock in a sea of chaos. That the shooting will help his pole numbers because he provides a safe haven, stability in these chaotic times. A desire to return to the days before TSF.

Safe haven is a key concept. Studies have shown people test more empathetic to others when they feel safe. Which is one of the reasons why the GOP works so hard in making people feel they are not safe.

A few points in its direction:
1. Trump has a ceiling of support. Everybody knows who he is. A lot of people don't like who he is.
2. Vance is a MAGA mini-me, so doesn't add anything as (say) Palin added to McCain. No bump.
3. The RNC is trying to help, and maybe it is helping, but it is in process so no bump yet.
4. Biden getting 277 rings true. CA+IL+NY anchor a steep hill to climb.

The hope is that a lot of voters are pretending not to commit to Trump, because they're shy Tories, and don't want months of pain from their AWFL peers before the election happens.

My backup battery gives a readout of watts being used. I plugged one of these huge 'tower' style fans into it. It jumped to 10 watts as it spun up, then down to '...' which means not even a single watt is used. Fans are the real deal for saving power.

In part, That unusual stretch where the sitting president didn’t receive a regular classified briefing is recounted in the latest version of a book published and regularly revised by the Central Intelligence Agency, which describes how spies update presidents on national security matters. ..

“Given how complicated the world is today, and given the kinds of decisions the president should be involved in in the national security arena, I'd be concerned that the president could find himself behind the curve,” he said.

“Iran could have planned some foolish attack, or you could have intel members of the incoming administration acting against current U.S. foreign policy,” he said, making a joking reference to the problems that plagued Trump’s own transition team in 2016."

I have assumed all along that as soon as the Dems resign themselves to Biden being their nominee that Biden's poll numbers will "magically" pull ahead of Trump. They'll just say Biden's behind as long as they think it will help pressure him out of the race.

But I haven't paid attention to the polls. Since 2016, it's become way too obvious that they're Fake.

Sounds like BS to me.

The way I remember it, around Xmas2020 it was BIDEN who stopped getting briefings, and the claim was that there was nothing going on in the intelligence world because of the holiday. Apparently the public didn't understand just how insanely ridiculous that excuse is - national security NEVER goes on vacation.

There were new revelations regarding the election steal at that time. That's also when the attack on the AT&T telecommunications hub in Nashville occurred. Apparently Continuity of Government measures were starting to kick in.
