The Georgia Court of Appeals on Tuesday issued an order granting a request from former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants to hear oral arguments in their disqualification efforts of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis after the 2024 general election. The state court will hear those arguments on Dec. 5, or about a full month after the presidential election, according to court documents. The court initially set an Oct. 4 date for arguments.

Some vents just go up into the attic, literally a pipe that sticks up through the ceiling and then dumps the air right into the attic.
Nowadays they are supposed to have a tube run to the roof or outside somewhere.
If it's open, a piece of metal screen or something might help to close it up but still let the air flow through.

Hi Bulg! Ya, last night the cats were on the counter both starting up at the cook top vent. The light was on so I thought a bug was flying around. I went to look, no bug. But there was scratching. Inside. Eeek! I got both good advice and really terrible advice here. 😂. This morning, I cautiously took the screen out, and nothing was there. So it must have left. I hope.

Donald Trump has something of a hard ceiling in popularity. There is a significant part of the this country that absolutely hates him. And what happened last Saturday night is not going to change that.
What this did is probably move some Trump leaning "undecideds" FOR Trump.
It might not show up in the polling, but I can only hope it shows up in the ballot box.
And there is an EON until election day, in terms of running the news cycles. But it may reach a point where nothing will move the needle in opinions.

Somebody else put that ladder there. There were more people involved in this. It was not just some goofy 20 year old "lone wolf". He was likely the designated "casualty", to be killed to cover up the conspiracy.
There is a strong theory about a "second shooter" that was in the window of the adjacent building. The angles from that building window look more reasonable for the near miss that grazed DJT's ear.

All true. This is what I think. Some mid level supervisor made the call. You get a heat casualty? There will be consequences. A couple of dudes in tactical kit laying up in the sun for a few hours - very high change of heat casualty. And what, is some random kid just going to drive over, climb a ladder, and get on top of the building? What are the odds of that? No President/candidate has been shot in 40 years.

In PA the Sheriff's office are bailiffs of the county court. They move prisoners around but are not any kind of cops as you normally think.
The local community or Township would have been the local cops and they would have been very unlikely to have very many full time officers, let alone a sniper yeam.

I've said before, Trump's greatest accomplishment was wiping all the Bushes and Cheneys and their remoras off the national GOP stage. With all the prodigal Chamber of Commerce acolytes coming home during this convention, I'd say he's finally succeeded.
If he wins the general election, I expect a full melt down from the Dems, maybe they'll use it to burn out the Clinton and Obama factions from their own ranks.

The CNN numbers of 272 include 15 from MI. I don’t think that will happen. It also includes NV, which might be possible w the R Governor. Your possibility is more realistic.

Robert Barnes made a good point about cheating this time around - in 2020, you could make the argument that people didn't want to reelect Trump, so they voted for Biden. This time around, the people are NEVER going to believe 81 million votes for that half-rotten wreck. It has to be plausible.
