I am going with the simplest explanation, everyone on team law enforcement out there except that one cop who approached the sniper thought the sniper was a good guy. They had 18 different law enforcement organizations on scene from the Secret Service, US Marshals, State Police, County Sheriff, local Cops and the school crossing guards.
Nobody thought that a potential assassin would have the balls to climb up on a roof in broad daylight to take a shot at Trump.
Nobody knew who everyone was and that is a failure to communicate big time. It damn near got Trump killed.

Besides the weapon and the loaded ammo - was anything else found on the perpetrator? Was any expended ammunition, projectiles or spent shell casings recovered at the crime scene? If so, what type?

I worked with the neighbor's German Shepard again yesterday. Beautiful girl but completely undisciplined. She's getting better though, had to start simply: Lay down, stay, Go (after I throw the frisbee) and then Drop it.
I think she is just happy to have something to do. Her Momma is not mobile so play time is at a minimum.

Oswald or not, two problems with that round: trajectory and bullet fragmentation. Meaning it couldn't have been Oswald, because the angle was just wrong, where the round went in, and what part of his skull flew off, and a bullet the size of the 6.5 wouldn't fragment like that.

In Roman times Gals got a feminine version of the last name: Julia for the Julian family, Claudia for the claudian. If there were more than 1 daughter, nicknames or Prima, Secunda, Tertia were use (first second third).
Males weren't a lot better, families had 2 or three names they picked for sons. So nearly all Roman sons had the same name as their fathers, and their fathers back thru history.

I get the Grandmother part. Mine saved my life and set me on the fly right course that has sustained me until this day. JD's grandmother gave him the tools to be something remarkable while never being able to go where he would. In my case, my grandmother did something similar but on a much smaller scale.
