Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Polls Show an Absolute Catastrophe for Democrats Coming, But Biden Seemingly Threatens Democrats That If He Goes, They All GoVia Ed Morrissey at Hot Air: Is Biden threatening other Democrats with Mutually Assured Destruction if they don't fall in line? The article goes into a Muh Trump digression, noting that Trump has threatened to run as an independent if he wasn't given the nomination. ... What Biden can do is be stubborn in a way that sets up a scenario of mutually assured destruction for Democrats. So long as opponents of his nomination believe it's impossible to force him to step aside, any escalation of their criticism risks damaging him even further in November. And the worse his standing gets, the more his party is likely to suffer up and down the ballot. Democrats don't sound entirely ready to believe him -- for now....Kevin McCarthy decided to be useful -- years too late. Steve FergusonSo Biden needs his mommywife nurse with him during meetings. No wonder she is determined that Biden remain in office -- she's the illegal acting president. Soothsayer speculated that Jill Biden might be angling to replace Biden on the ticket. With herself. Hooboy, can you even imagine? America would be run by a real real-life doctor!!! I'm so happy for us. The Semafor article quotes a Democrat House member, Ritchie Torres, who points out the obvious: If you keep calling Biden unfit for office and he doesn't step aside, you've guaranteed he will lose. But many Democrats already think he's guaranteed to lose, or almost guaranteed. And they have reason to believe that. Democrats leaked their own internal polling to show how badly Biden is doing. In the leaked poll, Biden is losing every single swing state and some non-swing states, too.
Former President Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden by 7 points among voters 50 and over in the key battleground state of Wisconsin, according to a poll released Tuesday by the American Association of Retired Persons. With voters 50 and over in Wisconsin, Trump leads Biden 48% to 41%. Trump leads by 15 points among those in the 50-64 age range, while the candidates are tied at 45% each when taken from those voters aged 65 and over. Women overall favor Biden by 8 points while men 18 and over prefer Trump by 22 points. ...Gen X is Best Gen. Biden claims that the polls always misunderestimate him. CNN's poll analyst Harry Enten explains that that claim is completely false. The polls have consistently underestimated Trump's actual levels of support, not Biden's. Polls have consistently overestimated not just Biden's level of support, but every single Democrat's level of support going back to the 2004 Bush-Kerry race. He stresses that no Republican has led the national polling in July in 20 years. ENTEN: We talk about the presidential race. Last time around, Donald Trump actually did better in the results than his July polls by five points. You go back to 2016. You see something very similar. That is the July polls actually underestimated Donald Trump. He outperformed his July polls. So, the idea in the Trump era that the polls have underestimated Democrats, whether it be in a Joe Biden matchup, whether it be a matchup against Hillary Clinton, whether it be in the midterms, at least in the national polling that right now shows Donald Trump in the strongest position, simply put, is not true. ... So, let's go all the way back. Who lead in early July polls? Well, right now, Donald Trump is ahead. Go back in 2020, a Democrat, Biden. In 2016, Hillary Clinton, a Democrat. 2008, 2012, a Democrat. Even in 2004, where George W. Bush ended up winning, John Kerry was actually ahead in the polls at this point. You have to go all the way back to 2000, to George W. Bush being ahead in the early July polls, you have to go all the way back to the end of the 20th century, beginning of the 21st century, to find a Republican ahead at this. Twenty-four years. At this particular point, the idea that a Democrat is ahead, there are voters in the electric who are dealing with a poll position they have never seen before. And that is a Republican leading in the national popular vote, at least according to the polls.

Looking at that map, we could solve the issues really fast.
Give the looters the NE (including the 2 red states there) and the eastern half of Maryland + Philly. Give them them West Coast. (Arguments could be made for only the western portions of those states.) The rest of the country gets to remain American. Chicago needs to be cleared, but the rest of IL is actually deep red. Allow some sorting to happen, but everyone would be a lot happier. Of course, that's not going to happen. Instead, we'll just keep going as we are now until the cold civil war turns hot and we get a lot of blood... and STILL might end up with the above solution. Posted by: Formerly Virginian at July 09, 2024 03:51 PM (N1DT3) 61
So Joe had a bad debate.
The Democrats had two choices: One was to circle the wagons, say everybody has a bad night occasionally, and wait for time to erase the knowledge of the debate in the minds of most voters. Two was to have half the Democratic Party and lackey media demand that Biden quit, without any clear plan on how they would make Biden withdraw. Guess which route they chose. Tee, hee! I really don't get the big freak-out over the polls. Yes, they suck for Joey Retard and the Dems. But it's July 9. Nobody is paying any attention to politics, other than political junkies and paid hacks.
You can wipe your ass with polls for the entire summer. Maybe starting in mid-September they might mean something, and even then I'm not sure. And what do Democraps care about voter preferences anyway? They always intended to steal the election. They did in 2020 and 2022. It didn't matter then how voters actually voted. It won't matter in November. I continue to see this Democrap shit-throwing tantrum over Biden's shit poll numbers as not a good-faith concern about the prospects of beating Trump. I see it as a way for various pro- and anti-Biden factions to stab each other in the back and jockey for position. The election either will be stolen for the Democraps, in which case it doesn't matter who is on the Dem ticket, or it won't be, in which case . . . it doesn't matter who is on the Dem ticket. 69 I continue to see this Democrap shit-throwing tantrum over Biden's shit poll numbers as not a good-faith concern about the prospects of beating Trump.
A bleak post-debate WISCONSIN poll for Biden from Impact (D)/Fabrizio (R) by AARP.
Trump 44 Biden 38 Kennedy 9 Stein 3 Oliver 1 Reuters poll had Joe leading in Wisconsin. Bloomberg had Joe catching up in the swing states. Why I've thrown up my hands re polls. Pick a day, get a different poll. There's a ten-point gap between Biden and Baldwin! SEN Baldwin (D) 50 Hovde (R) 45 Which is not a new phenomenon (ie top of ticket polling lower than down-ballot Dems). There are few paths to a Democtatic victory without Wisconsin. If we lose Wisconsin we have to win states to the right of it to win the Electoral College. In September 2020, the AARP-commissioned Wisconsin poll found Biden up by 5 pts overall and 4 pts among likely voters 50+. Biden won WI by just 20k votes in 2020. Now he's down 6 pts overall and 7pts among likely voters 50+. Grim. Posted by: Intercepted DU Transmissions brought by the Intrepid AoS Liaison at July 09, 2024 03:56 PM (ycI94) 107

Thought nothing of it until I looked at the web link provided with "Act Blue" in the web address. I thought "isn't that a Democrat fundraising organization? Is Dave Chappelle fundraising for Democrats?"
Sure enough... Dave Chappelle headlining fundraiser for Senate hopeful Hill Harper in Detroit https://bit.ly/4cTaf1R Comedian Dave Chappelle will perform at a July 11 fundraiser for U.S. Senate candidate Hill Harper, an actor seeking the Democratic nomination for Michigan's U.S. Senate seat. The comedian Dave Chappelle is headlining a show to benefit the campaign of U.S. Senate candidate Hill Harper in Detroit next week, according to an event listing selling tickets online. Harper, an actor and author, is seeking the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, facing three-term U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin of Holly in the Aug. 6 primary election. He's struggled in fundraising compared to Slotkin, who had over $8.6 million in cash reserves as of March 31. Elissa Slotkin is an AWFL. Hill is black. Should be an interesting primary. 60 Looking at that map, we could solve the issues really fast.
It's comical to me that Trump in the previous two elections was down more than Biden is today, but there was no serious talk he was going to be swapped out after the primary was over. But apparently as soon as Dems get behind a few points, the media is allowed to have a "do over" up until Election Day.
I tend to think if Biden can hang on for another week, they're stuck with him. And then the media will pretend they weren't actively making the case he's mentally unfit to be President. The gaslighting will never stop. Posted by: Blago at July 09, 2024 03:59 PM (wMRY8) 139

“By law, handguns can be sold by shops only to state residents, who must provide a government-issued proof of residency, and Biden was not a legal resident of Delaware in 2018. Posted by: Lady in Black ____ The polls are biased towards Democrats, that's at least part of it. I believe at this same point in 2016, Trump was losing to Hillary by around 10 points. It's the x factor and current polling, bad as it is, may underestimate how bad it will be for Biden and the Ds. Many Black men, Hispanics and even some wine moms who voted in 2020 will stay home, each in effect a half-vote for Trump. If Vance resigns bc he's elected VP, the gov of OH will NOT name his replacement. There would be a special election. In OH, the GOP would likely be favored in the special. I did say "favored," not "lead pipe cinch." Trump faces 2 flavors of criminal indictments, state & federal. If Trump wins, I really, REALLY like his chances of getting all the federal charges dismissed! And tout suite, too. D'oh! As for the state charges, I'm pretty confident that fed courts would rule that the states can't interfere with the POTUS' ability to fulfill his Constitutional responsibilities. Plus, the state charges are target rich environments for appellate courts. Don't take my word for it-- take Turley's & Dershowitz's. I would like to abolish the phrase "leaked polls." It's SOOO misleading. "Internal polls released by the sponsor to promote a political agenda" is better, but it's hard to dance to. Posted by: mnw at July 09, 2024 04:28 PM (NLIak) 317

I suspect not that much unfortunately. Prior to mail-in fraud a lot of what the Democrats did was pay people to vote. This has been mentioned in passing in every election I can remember whether it was called "walking around money" or something else. But now it is all casting ballots for people that don't vote and/or don't exist. That doesn't take much money formally - the people involved are paid later with no-show government/NGO jobs.
