Apparently they're going to make a thing of this, claiming this or that was a cheap fake, and I'm assuming the purpose behind that is to plant the idea in the minds of the nitwits. For most people it was just what you see right there in that video. I remember our main family room table, where we ate, was this lime green circular laminate with a giant flower on it. Later in life I learned the Roy Clark and Buck Owens were two of the best guitarists of their generation. I don't recall ever seeing them play guitar on the show.

It's not clear that SECNAV actually got the point about the Village People and their music, beyond just hearing that the kids like disco, and this is a popular disco group, and they did a number about the Navy.
