Dupable Sheep Cafe

California redwood forest
@ryanresatka

A cool BMX forest obstacle course.

Happy dog spreads happiness.

Giant rat in NYC.

Snake: I'mma bite you, cat. Cat: Eat my fist, punk. Snake: Dee you bitch.

You're gonna need a bigger boat.

A new kind of turn signal projects arrows on to the street to show which way your car is turning. Note this car doesn't have a regular (legally required) turn signal as well, but I assume that's just because this is a demo. I don't know, I kind of like it. It's like a videogame direction indicator.

The milky red Cusco River in Peru. Looks fake! But apparently real.

Spa day for a baby gator.

Driving Colorado's Million Dollar Highway (a series of mountain passes) during a snowstorm>

Mystery critter. A tweet says it's the silky anteater.

Cat jumps on tin foil (on a couch, is that a thing people do?) and reacts like he just stepped on lava.

Dolphin makes air rings in the water, then plays with them.

That's a lot of sharks. That many sharks can devour the meat of 100 men per hour. They call it a David French Rainbow Party.

They aren't native to the US, so state wildlife officials won't be involved.

As of 2021, hedgehogs are illegal to own as pets in the following states:

– California
– Hawaii
– Georgia (specifically Fulton County)
– New York City
– Washington D.C.

But on the original, a cat can react like that to something new and surprising because cats know what is unexpected will kill you. A previous set of cats of mine would react to a doorbell similar to this, one would panic and run and the other would follow until they ended up in the garage or under a bed.

Give this cat another few hours with the foil and he might decide to sleep up there because cats like crinkle noises.

I doubt I could have gotten through a 2x. For reference, I regularly cook up jalapenos to put on a burger or steak, and I think a 1:4 ratio of butter to Frank's hot sauce is about medium for a wing sauce.

All domestic police and security gets done by the States on their own, and if they want to share information with other States they can jolly well write a fucking email like everyone else on earth. No more CIA, no more FBI, no more 57 flavors of Intelligence Communities. Shut it the fuck down. They do far, far more to imperil the US and the rest of the world than they do to benefit us.

I certainly get that. I was pretty much resigned to never "dating" again, until a beautiful narcissist 20 years younger than me literally showed up at my door.

I would have sworn I was smart enough not to get taken by a maniac, but clearly I underestimated her skill, and my gullibility.

I'd like to say never again, but never again isn't as never as it used to be.

We (the family) were in Ouray, and planned to head south to Durango, and then to Mesa Verde. We got up in the morning, and it was raining and cold in Ouray, and the guy at the drug store said ,"Yeah, it's probably snowing up on the pass (Red Mountain)"
And it was. We were following a guy driving a school bus, and if he could make it, well, so could we.
It was sunny and warm south of the pass on the way to Durango.

I found a bat in my house just a few days ago, although I think it was a very young one that was so small that it came down a hole in the chimney that very few things could get through. I was more amazed than grossed out, it was just half the size of the palm of my hand, some insects are bigger than it was. I felt sorry for it and put it outside in some bushes - about 4 hours before surprise 85 MPH winds wreaked havoc on everything here. I wonder if it made it.

342 I have wondered about the absolute speediness in destruction of ALL the dams on the Klamath River this year.

What was the hurry? Why were so many upper river lakes destroyed in the process?

Who is actually running this show?

344 331 The Mir space station was a nonstop very-serious-incident. Good book about it is "Dragonfly: NASA and the Crisis Aboard Mir." There was a fire. There were big globs of ethylene glycol floating around, splashing people in the face. The USA astronaut aboard whined a lot about it. Not the right stuff.

347 In fairness, it's a good thing you showed up when you did, what with all these corn flakes sitting around un-pissed-in.

348 Hadrian,

Will be hot through here tomorrow, triple digits. I just put off picking up my trailer for a day. Friday is supposed to be cooler. Hope Her Majesty gets through it okay.

349 I’m glad to see James Kunstler links for the moron hoard. He’s a very clear thinker and a helluva good writer.

350 An interesting thought experiment is to wonder what the world would be like, if there were no internet.

How many of these miserable lesbians would be happily married housewives with children? Or at least holding down a job commensurate with their skill, and not influencers with millions of followers.

Like assistant managers of fast food establishments.

Feminism was in full swing long before the internet. Creepy perversion was spread by those free town newspapers with odd ads in the classifieds.

So I don't think it would have taken that much longer in such a world.
