12 To get back to the warning that I’ve received, you might take it with however many grains of salt you wish, that the brown acid that is circulating around us is not specifically too good. It’s suggested that you do stay away from that. Of course it’s your own trip, so be my guest. But be advised that there is a warning on that, okay?

The blonde's half-nakedness, the electrified hair of the green one, the gigantic sunflower (?) w/ tentacles, and that partly opened door down the hall . . . all pretty unsettling.

Roving sunflowers spent much of the latter half of the 19th century and first quarter or so of the 20th skulking about and hunting for children who worked in industrial concerns. Upon finding them, the sunflowers would attack and extract vitamin D from their systems. This - not poor factory lighting conditions and absence of windows - was the *real* cause of rickets in industrially-employed youth in that era.

Aggressive herbicide campaigns along with the clearing of smog thanks to coal stack filtration eliminated the problem just in time for socialist luminaries to take credit for the solution as a part of their trade unionist alliance against child labor.

And it's based on real, lived experience!

Dems should publicly shame the corporations for what they are doing. It's politically oriented, to create complaints that Biden is at fault for inflation.

Corporations are going to charge whatever price the market will bear. Which only proves we’re in a robust economy, as people manage to continue to buy things at these high prices. This is because of the pandemic, it seems to be worldwide, at least it is in European countries.

Biden has been saying this. "That's corporate greed" "still too many corporations in America ripping people off. Price gouging, junk fees, greedflation, shrinkflation." Yet there are still those who insist the buck stops with Biden. Why does Biden get blame for shit he has no control over, yet little or no credit for what he's accomplished?

There is no inflation it is actually corporate greed AND the inflation is actually a sign of a growing economy.

Sure. And low pollen counts result in wet streets, too, I'm sure.

No. In most cases, poor discipline and practices cause obesity. That *should* be trumpeted as good news. Since it usually results from choices, it can be *fixed* with choices, too. That's an extremely optimistic thing. "You're fat and you're fat because you make bad choices and that's nothing to feel good about it - but you can fix it if you make good choices instead" isn't exactly a bad thing. It also happens to be the reality.

Stop making people victims of circumstance. It does a disservice to the person you're mollifying *and* to anyone who is actually a victim of something outside their control.

We are not in hyperinflation. Not even close yet. We're in high inflation.

Inflation - even very high inflation - is a monetary phenomenon. Hyperinflation is a psychological phenomenon, and happens when confidence is suddenly lost all at once and the currency becomes worthless because nobody trusts it anymore.

If we keep up what we're doing, we will get hyperinflation. And then we look back upon today with longing.

I think we're too far down for "outgrow the problem" to be viable. The overhang is too big now. We'd need to be growing at 5%+ post-deficit for quite some time to start containing the problem without balancing the budget. That's a pretty tall order.

We do need less interference and waste and I will always support that, but it isn't enough. We're too far over the edge.

If you emit money without anything backing it, you increase the denominator and prices go up. Purely math. Mechanically, it shows up in various ways, but at the end of the day it's purely monetary: you printed more money than you should have, so it gets absorbed in price.

Hyperinflation cannot happen without inflation, but it's different. You can print lots of money and if confidence is maintained, you just get high prices. If confidence fails - people no longer trust the currency *at all* or the authorities' ability to manage it - then the currency devalues nearly to zero regardless of what happens next.

You think the food pyramid was really that different? I'd imagine grains still formed the foundation of the regular diet, with meat and veggies in the middle. The pyramid certainly minimizes how much fat and oil should be consumed, when back in the day people used lots of lard and butter, but I think most people still eat more fat/oil than the pyramid recommends.

Lack of physical labor and ever increasing portions are major culprits...and maybe additives? It seems like a burger, or other food stuff, made from scratch has 20% fewer calories than a similar, pre-made restaurant version.

2) Trying to replace fat in foods with something else which mostly ended up being done with...sugar.

Dorothea Tanning and Perilous Childhoods I: 'Eine Kleine Nachtmusik' by Selin Genc, 09/02/2021

In part, "There is an intimate connection as well as hostility between the young girl and the animated flower. Surrealism scholar Catriona McAra speculates that the sunflower in Eine Kleine Nachtmusik signifies defloration, menstruation and erotic nocturnal knowledge. Furthermore, I would add that the flower is abject, making use of psychoanalyst and philosopher Julia Kristeva’s key notion of the abject, which fascinates yet disgusts, excites yet terrifies. Such conjuncture of opposites is incarnated in the monstrous sunflower, which seems to mirror and exteriorise inner attributes of the child in its confrontational correspondence to her. It is the unknown the child senses within herself: a source of concern and fascination. ‘One does not know it, one does not desire it, one joys in it. Violently and painfully. A passion,’ writes Kristeva.

If you don't do much, you don't need much food.

In fact, if you spend most of your time sitting in front of a computer, your caloric needs would be met by taking a single large meal worth of food and spreading it out over the course of a day and maybe add in a small snack or two of no more than 100 calories.

Fats are satiating. Carbs, less so.

When the government declared fat to be "persona non grata", Big Food started marketing "low fat" or "fat free" everything. Trouble is, it tastes like shit. You know what makes it tastier? Sugar. Lots, and lots, of sugar.

And, best of all, pumping all that sugar into everyone increases inflammation which adds demand for Big Pharma. Win-win... unless you're a person.

Which to me makes it fascinating. Stephen King mentions in his book on the horror genre that Richard Matheson settled on his style by simply introducing the weird or random element, and then not explaining or apologizing for it . . . like "kids in the rumpus room playing with their pet dinosaur." It just is, and then you go on with your story.

Tanning's surreal art seems to be like that.

Women artists. There is no such thing—or person. It’s just as much a contradiction in terms as "man artist" or "elephant artist". You may be a woman and you may be an artist; but the one is a given and the other is you

I suspect when she said this it was non-controversial. Twenty years ago it would annoy the left for not claiming being a woman artist is somehow different from a male artist but now? Claiming being a woman is something you are born as is reich wing hate speech...

I don't buy that. Some may, but not "many." And those here to do harm are not leaving unless they're in a body bag.

Socially demonizing the illegals and pulling all funding for them would certainly cause some number to leave, but rounding them up with a hostile support infrastructure that will do everything in its power to protect them... ? Nah.

Sugar is not bad, we just consume far too much of it, and do not have the life styles to support such intake, insulin is a powerful growth hormone, it's why elite body builders inject insulin, it shuttles nutrients into cells to fuel growth.

But when you generate a massive insulin dump in a none elite athlete, as we do with our sugar rich food, you simply create a lot of fat people and fat children.

Notice they usually name trials after the crime committed, not the electioneering worthy buzzphrase.

Although in Hunters case I see they have dubbed it a "gun trial".

397 Interlocking fields of fire at the border. Start shooting any military-aged male that steps across. I bet you only have to drop 50-100 of them before the rest say "fuck this."

401 He's already said he didn't pursue Hillary because that would only divide the country. He won't go after anyone after he's elected because "unity."
Posted by: Sponge - F*ck Joe Biden

My take is, as president, he's not a cop. He's not a prosecutor. And, unlike Biden or any Uniparty president before him, he didn't have the tools. None of the agencies were his to use as tools. They would not have complied had he asked them to "go after Hillary". The entire Deep State, Congress, his own VP, even his own Attorney General, that Biden, or whoever is in charge, can use as tools to engage in justice or lawfare ever acted in opposition to Trump, for the most part.
