When A "Civilian" Participates In Terrorism: He Is A Terrorist

The concept of the "civilian" in the context of Muslim expansionism and terrorism is a cruel joke perpetrated on a gullible and unsuspecting Western public. When 75% of Gazans support Hamas and their tactics AFTER 10/7, it is obvious that there is no substantive difference between a terrorist carrying a rifle and an RPG, and a family in an apartment building giving aid and comfort to that terrorist. In fact, it isn't just aid and comfort, it is active participation in the terror campaign against Israel. How else does one describe "civilians" holding Israeli hostages?

And I haven't even mentioned the media, which are neither gullible nor unsuspecting. They are complicit. Conflating the just, understandable, and incredibly humane defensive war that Israel is conducting against the 7th century savages of Hamas and Gaza with "genocide" is bad enough, but the media are also blurring the reality of war in general. It is lunacy to expect Israel to warn Gazans before it conducts a rescue operation, yet that is the explicit supposition made by a rabidly anti-Israel world media.

The Press Reactions to Israel Rescuing the Hostages Will Make Your Blood Boil

Now, you'd think the press would be very interested to know why hostages were being held in "civilian" homes in the middle of a "refugee camp." That would seem the most prudent question when discussing casualties as a result of the rescue operation. Instead, they simply went to bat for Hamas.

Free countries have been conducting wars for a very long time, and they have killed lots and lots of civilians. It is the reality of war. And the lines are blurred, even absent the enthusiastic support that Gazans give to Hamas and their genocidal (yes...the correct use of the term) efforts against Jews and Israel. Is it appropriate to bomb armaments factories, knowing that workers will be killed? Of course. Is it appropriate to rescue POWs (let alone hostages), knowing that there will be unintended casualties? Of course.

Well...except for Israel. The lone Jewish state in the world is held to an impossibly high standard. Warn the "civilians" or it will be vilified. Do not prosecute a war against a savage and brutal terrorist organization, lest "civilians" be killed.

In fact, no matter what Israel does, it will be vilified.

What is the answer?

In the absence of any rational response on the part of world leaders, it is entirely appropriate for Israel to relax the rules of engagement, and prosecute the war against Hamas (and the coming war against Hezbollah) with maximum speed and ferocity. It is blindingly obvious that the vicious criticism of Israel's actions, no matter how humane, is based not on some heightened moral code, but on the centuries-old hatred of Jews, Judaism, and the modern state of Israel.

A ruthless and rapid operation against the remaining Hamas forces and its infrastructure could be completed in a matter of a few weeks, and could stay ahead of the expected vitriol and condemnation from the world. Then Israel could shift to mopping up the remnants, and announce to the world that major military operations are at an end.

The day after will be interesting though. How to change the paradigm that the highest calling for any Arab child is to die as a martyr to the insane cause of the destruction of Israel and Judaism?

Maybe a never-ending game of "Wack-A-Mole" is the best that Israel can do, and simply agitate for the Arab world to rebuild Gaza along the lines of Singapore (hah!), or more probably one of the corrupt but relatively peaceful Gulf states.

As a friend suggested...let the Saudis chop hands and heads in Gaza until they are halfway civilized!

I just learned something very interesting. Abdullah al-Jamal, the "journalist" holding the hostages recovered in this Gaza raid appears to be one of "ours."

The media are all playing him up as an al-Jazeera journalist - but he was only freelancing for them in Gaza. He was on staff with a US outfit called the Palestine Chronicle, and at a shady 501(c)3 called "People Media Project." Both of PMP's websites appear offline at this time (though Palestine Chronicle's is still up).

Meanwhile, Times of Israel is reporting that the CIA provided unspecified "intelligence" on the hostages' location prior to the raid.

I suspect the CIA was able to do this because they found out the kidnapper was of *their assets,* and decided it was better to make this situation go away.

12 I find the call for a "two state solution" to be interesting. There has been a de facto "three state solution" for a while now. Israel, the Palestinian Authority - Fatah, and of course, Hamas in Gaza.

Each of these is an operating state entity, Israel, a de jure state, the others not. But the PA and Hamas conduct governmental activities and dealings with the world as states do.

So, the "two state solution" is a red herring. A stick to beat Israel with as the world complains about unfairness and the poor Pali's. The real story is that the Pali's could have their state, if they didn't want to use it to murder their neighbor. They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. (Some wise person said.)

On top of that, no one wants them in their land. They tried to overthrow the Kingdom of Jordan. They have destabilized Lebanon. Who would take them in?

I suspect that the neighbors in the region hope quietly that Israel cleans house, so the area can have some peace.

While I suspect the majority of Gazans do support Hamas, I don't trust any polling of any kind about any issue anymore. None of them are reliable.

So I wonder how many Gazans actually do support Hamas and how many are just saying that they do out of fear. Similar to people in the USA not honestly answering polls about their support of non-approved opinions (i.e. President Trump support, being anti-abortion, being anti-LGBT, being anti-"trans", etc).

The Islamic world and culture are probably even more complicated than the western world and culture. Such that if you hold the wrong opinion in the Islamic world, your life is likely at risk. Whereas if you hold the wrong opinion in western culture, you'll just risk cancellation via social media.

This undoes that line of attack; it also discredits those who say endless negotiations and/or surrender is the only solution. Short of killing them all, which wouldn't cause any loss of sleep on my part, incorporate Gaza into Israel, make all the Palestinians still living into "resident aliens" with only whatever civil rights they have being granted by sufferance by Israel. No voting, no public office, no government jobs. No going into Israel proper for jobs. If some entrepreneur wants to start some sort of "maquiladora" in Gaza to use Gazan labor to make shirts or widgets, fine, but the Gazans stay in Gaza. If they leave for another muslim country, fine, but they can never return. I've heard it described where Hamas is akin to the mafia, in that you have people who accept them as the power in your particular neighborhood. You "support" them whether you happen to like them or not, and chances are, if you aren't a member, you don't actually like them. The 10/7 attack would not have been nearly as successful had the so-called Gazan civilians not acted many weeks or even months in advance as intelligence assets gathering intel on safe rooms, checkpoints, police stations etc.

Also, many of the Israelis who were kidnapped were nabbed by civilians and handed over to the Hamas operatives in the initial assault.

More and more, it seems to me that while the Allies and The West won the war on the battlefield, it was in the aftermath of WWII where the Marxist Left changed tactics. And decided that it was not possible to defeat the West through military might. So the Marxist Left decided to begin their Long War... the Long March Through the Institutions. They have been a master of the long game.

And now because of their control of the institutions, they have also improved their chances of defeating their enemies militarily. First through degrading the quality of the military from within with lowered standards and making populations shun military service because of things like LGBT nonsense and DEI... second through holding only the West to certain impossible Rules of Engagement (RoE) standards, while allowing the West's enemies to commit any and all atrocities.

Where it was basically Sesame Street only with the characters teaching the kids that Jews were (numerous derogatory things) and teaching them to say these things and sing about killing them. And the kids were dressed up in terrorist garb and holding guns.

Again, it was civilians, including women and children, attacking any survivors who had come outside thinking the coast was clear, more looting and destruction.

Now, if you rely on Graham's report (or that his sources were legit), then this notion of 'innocent civilians' has become storm grey.

Another thing I've only seen reported in the WSJ: as part of the 10/7 planning, they relied on Palestinians employed on the kibbutzs for intel: how many people, where the guns were, and so on. Again, innocent civilians? Storm grey area.
