we have actually been working up a handbook with suggestions for possible guidelines for pilots on drones in scenarios like this. The current draft proposal looks like it will include "suddenly pitch and yaw in tight circles until you spread yourself in small pieces around the landscape"

It would probably be pretty easy to hack the drones. Install new firmware that mimics the comms to/from Master Control so that Master Control thinks it is running the show, but put the actual flight controls solely under the operator's joystick.

Her Mom and I are seriously considering more formal training (for me). Ava has already flunked out of two classes due to her exuberance and lack of minding. She's starting, but just, to mind me but we really have to get better together.

I told her - no more tummy scritches or frisbee unless she starts to mind.

Ava's Mom has some surgeries coming up but is more worried about the dog than herself. I've promised that, God forbid, Mom doesn't make it, I'll adopt Ava - that gave Mom a large measure of comfort. I don't foresee that but, you never know.
