The Misuse Of The Law

Family of Black boy, 16, sent to electric chair in 1930 and exonerated in 2022 sues county that prosecuted him

Who will be held accountable? The prosecutor? The police? The voters? It's a money grab, and the court system will tolerate on the basis of ridiculous post-modern victim-hood nonsense.

Courting infamy: The ICC prosecutor's blood libel is part of the pincer movement for Israel's destruction

It's bald-faced Jew hatred under cover of the fake impartiality of the ICC, which is a ridiculous, bloated, leftist mess.

The court or the prosecutor's office, I suspect. This is one of the benefits, such as it is, of corporations and governments: long-term survivability. It causes lots of interesting quirks when wars end in contested outcomes.

WWII in Europe didn't technically end until mid-1991 because of that. The USSR and the Western allies didn't agree on the successor state of Nazi Germany. We signed our treaty with the FDR, the Soviets signed theirs with the GDR. We didn't recognize the GDR and the Soviets didn't recognize the FDR. There was a technical state of war as a result that lasted until German reunification created a final successor state to the Third Reich.

But this same benefit - long-term existence and therefore liability potential - is one reason why statutes of limitations are a thing.

49 CBS News poll in Arizona finds Trump leading Biden 52% to 47%. However, Gallego leads Lake in the U.S. Senate race, 49% to 36%.

His voters don't care about the trial. It's just Biden persecuting him. If the debates happen, it could be a game changer for Biden because he will come cross as sane and lucid while Trump is likely to babble and go into one of his fugues, and voters may finally realize his mental condition.

the people who most need to know about his unhinged mental status are all just as unhinged as he is.

That's a lot of crossover voting. Are these polls intended to terrify and infuriate the electorate? Is it part of a normalization process so TSF has grounds to allege election fraud when he loses? maybe this "Red Finch" Trump-appeasement algorithm is now used as the standard weighting model for presidential elections.

Biden is losing states he won four years ago? He's inexplicably less popular than Trump. It's shocking. Trump can't “steal” the election, but he could win it. It is inconceivable that the Orange Con Man is even close let alone ahead of Joe. They better be wrong or this country is fucked.

51 This is why, for what it's worth, I oppose the death penalty. It isn't because I think it's immoral or unjustifiable or unfair - there are things for which I think execution is an appropriate punishment - but because the government should be trusted with the power of cold-blooded homicide.

If you're wrongfully prosecuted and imprisoned, you can never be made whole but you *can* be compensated - however inadequately - and exonerated. You can be released, have your record expunged and be given a check. That does not undo the damage, but it *can* at least give you a chance of rebuilding your life.

But you can't unkill someone. That's irreversible, even by degrees. Given the rampant corruption, abuse, incompetence, bad motives, etc. of the state and her agents, I think that the death penalty is inappropriate. They are too untrustworthy to be vested with that power.

This.
But I'd bet it's more than just microplastics. For example:

Four out of five Americans are being exposed to a little-known chemical found in popular oat-based foods — including Cheerios and Quaker Oats — that is linked to reduced fertility, altered fetal growth and delayed puberty.

The Environmental Working Group published a study in the Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology on Thursday that found a staggering 80% of Americans tested positive for a harmful additive called chlormequat. . .

Posted by: Lizzy at May 21, 2024 09:31 AM (cCVOS)

130 Well would you look at that:

(pro Global Warming Wired link)

"Yet Another Problem With Recycling: It Spews Microplastics
Recycling was already a mess. Now a study finds that one facility may emit 3 million pounds of microplastics a year.

Their microplastics tally was astronomical. Even with filtering, they calculate that the total discharge from the different washes could produce up to 75 billion particles per cubic meter of wastewater. Depending on the recycling facility, that liquid would ultimately get flushed into city water systems or the environment. In other words, recyclers trying to solve the plastics crisis may in fact be accidentally exacerbating the microplastics crisis, which is coating every corner of the environment with synthetic particles.

“It seems a bit backward, almost, that we do plastic recycling in order to protect the environment, and then end up increasing a different and potentially more harmful problem,” says plastics scientist Erina Brown, who led the research while at the University of Strathclyde. "

144 I'm okay with the death penalty but the evidence has to be so overwhelming that the real killer gets killed. Sorta what shoulda happened with OJ.

Posted by: Divide by Zero

I used to be for the death penalty. I used to trust government, too. Both changed, and for the same reasons.

145 This is nothing new. Reagan won 49 states in 1984 and yet the house went Democrat that same year. American voters are weird.
Posted by: Montec at May 21, 2024 09:22 AM (tpjlM)

People are mad at Biden because Biden is the reason that utopian leftist bullshit doesn't work. It's not that voters are weird, it's that voters are stupid.

146 Reagan won 59-41 in 1984. Dems won 52% of the house vote the same election. So million of voters voted both for and against Reagan the same day.
Posted by: Montec at May 21, 2024 09:33 AM (tpjlM)

Interesting you'd mention Regan and skip Nixon '72.
I understand he squeaked by on that one.

We also know by now that parties send losers to flood primaries to get the "approved" people to run for races so incumbents are protected.
Do we think this just started?

147 If the debates happen, it could be a game changer for Biden because he will come cross as sane and lucid while Trump is likely to babble and go into one of his fugues, and voters may finally realize his mental condition.

Apparently Daniel Patrick Moynihan was wrong. Some people are entitled to their own facts. How can we ever hope to agree about anything with people who can see the same physical reality we see (e.g. FJB speaking) and understand it so differently?

148 I could see a robber saying "don't shoot" and a cop saying "hands up" but I don't imagine one person saying both. Fiction should make sense.
Posted by: BourbonChicken at May 21, 2024 09:25 AM (cf/0E)

They (commentators and agitators) say that he had his hands up and said "don't shoot". Witnesses, and forensic evidence, on the other hand disagreed.

It's all a lie to stir up the blacks and keep them on the plantation.

A Christian man gave a pro-Christianity speech at a Christian university commencement.

The issue here is it keeps being reported as being "controversial." There's nothing even remotely controversial about that.

The Junta and its allies hate Christianity with the rage of someone kicked out of heaven...

151 black people who say they should go back to Africa

.. there used to be a story of a black person who went back to Africa (probably after Roots) and was found in Liberia crying upon finding out that his/her ancestors were sold into slavery by other blacks.

152 Reagan won 59-41 in 1984. Dems won 52% of the house vote the same election. So million of voters voted both for and against Reagan the same day.

Town next to mine had a vote on a massive tax increase and for local election officials (with the only issue facing the town being the tax increase/spending).

The woman that led the effort to defeat the tax increase also ran for local office pointing out all the local solons seeking re-election wanted the tax increase.

The tax increase was defeated...but so was she.

So some critical number of people both voted for AND against the tax increase.

3:1 Biden claims he's the best VP ever and Obama is a clean, well spoken black man

5:2 Biden claims that Trump will start WWIII with Russia

7:1 Biden will claim Trump is both an anti-semite AND secret Jew.

How did all these Jew haters get appointments to all the world universities and institutions? There must have been a putsch and we didn't notice. For what it's worth I have no respect for any of them.

>Wrongful conviction lawsuit announced against Delaware County after 16-year-old executed in 1930
By6abc Digital Staff WPVI, Monday, May 20, 2024 6:32PM

MY county.

Broke since the Democrats took the Delaware County Council completely over (5 of 5 positions) by bringing in two Indivisible ringers (the council head was, in fact, a south NJ lawyer) a handful of years ago.

We're more Multiracial than Philly; now have an unnecessary Board of Health; closing hospitals; paid consultants involved in every facet of county operations; a county diversity program that seems to have no public agenda and/or documented meetings; people residing in hotels/motels - their children attending local public schools - from uncertain programs. Could they be prison parole, humanitarian parole, Section 8 aid for Philly residents, undocumented? 🤷‍♀️

Schools on one side of the county in particular (subsidized housing zones), are in decline, a few in total failure, yet the school taxes are ridiculous & a great deal of $ going to education per student.

Remember, we're Joey's go to & pocket and desperately needed in PA for the Presidential election in November.

160 Police and/or prosecutors withholding exculpatory evidence should be a death penalty offence. These assholes need to be harshly prosecuted and when found guilty punished. They are using the unlimited resources of the state to screw over innocent people for political purposes - fuck them in the ass with a roll of rusty barbed wire, then the mouth.

I assume the issue is that it wasn't a steady, controlled descent. More like drop 1000 feet... hold for a minute... drop 2000 feet... hold for a minute... kind of thing.
