Is this real? I think most of it is real. The part I have questions about is the train. That could have been added in post.

And all modern cars having "daytime running lamps" means they really only retract when the car is parked.

Yes, you can turn the running lights off, but I think they're the default mode on everything with wheels, now.

I had an Opel GT like in the video. The mechanism to flip the headlights was manual, with a cable connected to a handle next to the driver. It was actually very reliable, no switches or motors to fail.

Mine well used by the time I got it. I only had it for a few months and of course I painted it before doing any real work on it cause that was really smart. Guy blew through a stop sign as I was on my way to work one morning and hit my broadside, nearly ripped the rear end off. It was very undriveable forever after that.

Villeneuve passed over some elements that were key to the story, (including that one) and his "chani" melodrama was a little too 2024. That said, the Harkonnens were far more terrifying in this Giger-esque version than Lynch's.

It meant a lot of work for me, putting beds together, installing a new kennel cam, mowing and weed-eating the pens, rehanging the gates from the outdoor runs to the yard. Then disassembling the pen inside the house and cleaning up the accumulated six months of dirt.

Now Diana is the only house dog right now. And maybe I can get an uninterrupted night's sleep.

No. Bank branches are just like any other retail store in that they have to order their goods to have product on hand to satisfy a normal timeframe's need. So, in this case, assuming the withdrawer made proper arrangements to take out his $$$, the branch manager would have to order the proper amount of cash, in the proper denomination, to be delivered at a specified time.

And let me assure you - a withdrawal of that amount, while not that unusual these days, would cause notification to go way up the ladder to be authorized. No branch wants to lost those $$$ under management.

It's part of how the branch manager's compensation is calculated. They would have moved heaven and earth to keep those funds within the bank - perhaps moving the customer to a 'Platinum' status or adding any number of other perks for a high net worth customer.

The paper trail on the withdraw would be immense and reported to the fed. Has anyone tried wiring money lately? I have to do it for payroll. It takes forever. You have to go through canned questions about the transfer, who, why, where you got the instructions, if they changed, had typos. Then, you have to listen to a 30 second warning again on a recording to go back to the live person to confirm you still want to wire. Finally, the money transfers.

I have been to the site of the Tom Mix memorial on the highway south of Florence. The bridge was undergoing repairs, and there was a detour, but he was drunk, and blew past a barricade. He was well-known for driving while under the influence. The car was not that badly damaged, and was later fixed up and resold, IIRC.
