Headbangers' Stall Cafe

edinboroughalley.jpg
Edinborough
by @petewands

It's Alley Week for the Cafe. Got some good Alley Photos for the week.

Spa day for doggo.

Cat catches her master canoodling with a stray cat whore.

Doing a flip and a half-gainer (whatever) off a waterslide.

BLM turkey attempts stopping traffic.

Close-range video of a whale surfacing.

Chungus goats. My mistake, they're changthangi goats.

Ghost Dog.

ICYMI: Doggie day-care bus.

This poor dog was accidentally given one of Biden's "Talking Pills."

Finley, a golden retriever, is the Guiness Book of World Records champion of holding and carrying the most balls in his mouth (6). He beat the previous record-holder, David French.

"Calm down, idiot. Act like you've seen a camera before."

Baby wolf playtime at the zoo.

The cutest, politest little beggar.

Read this on Facebook. Thought i would share it. 🤣 🤣🤣

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so
I sat down and had a cold beer.
The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.
My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing,
and I said, "Nothing."
The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is because she then would have asked, "About what?"
At that point I would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics, which would lead to other questions.
Finally I pondered an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?
Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they know?

Posted by: andycanuck (ZdexC) at May 20, 2024 07:54 PM (ZdexC)

38 Sassafrass84 @Sassafrass_84
Well, after another beer, and some more heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with an answer to that question.
Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though I obviously couldn't really know, here is the reason for my conclusion:
A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."
But you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."
I rest my case.
Time for another beer. Then maybe a nap.

I have a recent dachshund experience. I was at the grocery store last night and a lady walked by with her dachshund. He didn’t want to walk and twisted his way out of his harness and went running as fast as his short legs could carry him across the parking lot. Right before a car smooshed him, I called him, reach down and grabbed him. To thank me for saving his life, he bit me.

Bratwurst was not a good boy. But I rather I got bit then he got smooshed and he had no idea who I was. But still.

Today was supposed to be the 1st day of Trump's trial in Florida for the "classified documents" case.

Instead, this week represents the start of Judge Aileen Cannon's stealth trial of DOJ/Special Counsel Jack Smith.

Judge Cannon Puts Jack Smith on Trial
While vacating Donald Trump's trial date, Cannon set an aggressive hearing schedule over the next several weeks that will turn the tables on Smith and the Department of Justice. [holy crap -- tinyurl has blacklisted the source!]

Minor correction. The above screenshots are a defense reply filed today to support a Feb motion to dismiss the case based on the superfluous language and elements of the indictment.

It is safe to say Judge Cannon is no fan of Smith's 68-page indictment. She often (derisively) refers to it as a "speaking" indictment and sometimes sarcastically notes that the document goes on and on...

Here are just some of the defense team's complaints about the indictment:

90 Should be a 9pdr round most likely, 6pdr next if not.
I have a steel ball that isn't a 12pdr round but is so damn close that I know what a 12pdr round is like.
My uncle found it under a porch, but corresponding with a expert fairly sure it isn't a cannonball

I think the Brits used used 3, 6, 9, and 12 pounder artillery at Waterloo. They varied between solid and explosive rounds.

Six Pound Kitty (Bonnie), is jet black, and her brother, (mostly) Maine Coon, 13lb. lump, are insanely jealous of one another. They compete for lap space, kitty beds, unimpeded right-of-way, and much else, besides.

Scamp sits mostly on my lap, and Bonnie on Herself New Dawn's. But, if I pat my hand on my lap to invite Scamp to hop up, if Bonnie is nearby, she'll JET to get ahead of him, onto my lap, first. Just. To. Spite. Him.

Fourteen years in, and you'd think they'd have sorted out their differences by now. But, no.

Why don’t you all pretend he was shot by another Black person and not give a crap. Stop exploiting dead Black men. Seems like that is the only way we have actual value to you. The truth is, that young man is dead because of his decision to assault a police officer who warned him for jaywalking. It’s tragic, but racism was not a factor here.

8-year-old Ella Elyakim, and her 15-year-old sister Dafna, were kidnapped from their home in Nahal Oz on October 7 by Hamas terrorists.

For 51 days, they were held hostage, terrorized and exploited by Hamas terrorists. In this video, Ella speaks while looking into the eyes of a terrorist standing behind the camera, being forced to refilm this several times.

128 hostages are still in Gaza. We will not stop operating against Hamas in Gaza until they’re all home.

180 So, I bring up Victoria Principal’s bouncing breasts in the opening credits to Dallas, and now I’ve got the theme to Falcon Crest in my head. Weird.

If FJB had a hair on his sagging chalk-white ass he'd have replied, "No, we will not assist you. We already have too many hostages held by murderous scumbags who wear towels on their heads and incessantly scream, "Aloha Snackbar!"

However one day maybe one of our planes goes off course and crashes in Iran and we'd need help/permission/etc. to go find it.

Oh yea. Falcon Crest. I forgot about that 80s era Prime Time soap. Dallas and Dynasty, I actually watched a few episodes. Since my teenage attention span was very short, my viewership never lasted. They were no match for Miami Vice and Magnum PI. I looked up Falcon Crest to see what the general plot line was. Set in Napa Valley. Rich wine people do DRAMATIC things. Meh.

I seriously doubt the Ayatollahs and their IRGC thugs play by The Golden Rule.

She was old as dirt. One thing I remember well (my parents and sisters loved these damn things) was my parents telling me out of nowhere that Jane Wyman was Reagan’s first wife.
