Soros' Star Witness Michael Cohen Is Forced to Admit He Stole Tens of Thousands of Dollars from Trump, Was Never Charged
Update: CNN Admits "This Is Significant"

There may be some doubts about this wormy pussy's credibility.

Jonathan Turley is in the courtroom.

Jonathan Turley
@JonathanTurley

Blanche just got Cohen to say that he handed over $20,000 in a paper bag to close end a financial dispute. There is something quintessentially Cohen about the scene...

...Weisselberg later paid Cohen for $60,000 rather than $20,000. Cohen admits that he stole from the Trump organization. He also told federal prosecutors about stealing the money but was never charged with larceny...

...These are hits below the waterline for Cohen but also the prosecutors. They had a man admitting to a major larceny but never charged Cohen. That made Cohen not only their man, but allowed him to keep stolen money...

...Blanche is now going in for the kill. He was that he lied to Weisselberg and "to this day you have never fixed that" and disclosed this to the District Attorney...

Turley's next part deals with payments to Weisselburg, which I don't understand the significance of, so I'll omit it.

Cohen then admitted he sold his influence to various corporate clients:

...Cohen admits that he made $4 million from four clients including AT&T. Blanche asked what work he actually did for AT&T and he said "consulting." Cohen said that he had only 20 communications with AT&T and was paid $600,000...

...Novartis hired him as a consultant and was paid $1.5 million for just six communications. I previously wrote about these retainers as Cohen sought to cash in on his relationship with Trump...

...It was classic Cohen and I criticized the contract as access and influence peddling with these companies...

Trump's lawyer then asked Cohen about all the times he'd previously denied that Trump knew anything about these payments.

...Cohen admits that he told reporters (on the record) that Trump did not know about the payments to Stormy Daniels. He told BBC for example that "there was no way" that he would have told Trump. Cohen recorded the interview with the BBC reporter without her knowledge...

...Up until April 2018 that Cohen continued to tell reporters, friends, and family that Trump had no knowledge or involvement in the payments. Then on April 9th the FBI raided his home...

Update: "His journey."

...Before the break, Cohen was forced to lay out how his income is now based almost entirely on attacking Trump ...

...Cohen admits that he worked for three months to pitch his reality show "The Fixer." He also said that he is considering a third book. Cohen admits that he is thinking of running for Congress and that he has great name recognition...

...Cohen is fighting question to admit that his name recognition is due to attacking Trump. He insists it is because of "his journey." He then admitted that the "journey" was daily attacks on Trump. Cohen makes it sound like he was Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton on a storied journey

...Blanche is basically portraying Cohen as still a grifter who has cashed in on his attacking his former [client]...

63 There is no case. The "secondary crime":

(1) didn't happen - the alleged false booking entry occurred after the election and could not have affected it. The payoff occurred before the election but wasn't illegal.

(2) is a federal crime and cannot be prosecuted in NY state court. The feds declined to prosecute just as they did with Obama and Hillary.

Justice would be served by a directed verdict and absent that, a 15-minute jury return of not guilty.

Attorneys love to catch witnesses in lies to destroy their credibility and Cohen appears to be a serial liar - someone who does it out of habit.

I don't even see how a judge can frame coherent jury instructions under these circumstances.

But with that all said, I just don't know if the jury, like the judge/prosecutors sole mindset will be "get Trump."

You won't hear about it from the MSM, but the "judge" (Merchan) was cited with a "caution" letter for his obvious ethical conflicts.

Tom Fitton: ‘Caution’ Letter Proves Judge Merchan’s Ethics Violation

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton cited the as-yet-unreleased caution letter to Judge Juan Merchan as proof of the latter’s ethical failure. While a sitting judge, Merchan reportedly donated to Democrats, including Donald Trump’s current Democrat presidential opponent Joe Biden. The latest news is that Merchan was officially cautioned over this ethics failure.

Fitton had originally posted back on May 6, 2023, “Judges are prohibited under ethics rules from donating to political campaigns and organizations. Accordingly, there are legitimate concerns about Judge Merchan's reported political contributions while a sitting judge to Biden and Democratic causes.” Merchan is a dedicated Democrat, it would seem, indicating political bias in the trial of GOP frontrunner Trump.

Unfortunately for them, it blew up in their face in a fashion unseen with the possible exception of a Peter North video.

My spouse and I have a theory. Biden's people have seen the polls and realized a few things...

A jury acquittal will make Trump SKYROCKET in the polls.
A jury conviction will still make Trump go higher in the polls.
So, the best option is a directed out verdict by the judge after striking the testimony of Cohen as prejudicial (thus, why he is allowed to tell the truth and why the prosecution rested on him). Then, there's no innocence or guilt, and like in GA with Fani Willis eventually being the "fall girl" there, Alvin Bragg will be laid out to dry here and Biden's folks can stay happily in his corner and still believe Trump is Orange Man Bad with no one saying otherwise - it was a "technicality" he got off...

We'll see if this comes to pass...

Cohen was in Trump's orbit at that point (I think), but what would access to Trump mean to these companies? Seems to me they'd want access to government and regulatory honchos, not private guys like Trump.

I think there's much more to this story. What were two heavily-regulated companies paying him millions of dollars for?
Posted by: Elric Blade at May 20, 2024 12:27 PM (iFTx/)

Access/influence I'm guessing this is right about the time AT&T was fighting the SEC over antitrust stuff over the purchase of Time Warner. AT&T was broken in part by that trial. It delayed the launch of TW's streaming HBO. AT&T had big, big plans.

They were going to start something called Xander, which would have sold advertising using the viewing habits from TW and the geolocation of the cell phones. It would have allowed unprecedented targeting of ads. You visited McDonalds twice last week? Here's fast food ads in your HBO feed. Stuff like that.

182 Cohen's moral failings are well-known. The key witnesses in most white-collar crime prosecutions are other criminals. Prosecutors are very familiar with how to manage criminals who testify against other criminals.

I don't know why he was even called as a witness by the prosecution, he's been awful and this is very damaging to the case. Cohen basically made the defense for Trump's lawyers. I hate to say this and people here will hate to read it, but Trump just got acquitted.

He's been very effective. The prosecutors know exactly what and who they are dealing with, and they will handle it all on redirect.

He has been a total disaster for the prosecution. I would convict Trump of shooting JFK if it were up to me, and even I am not sure that Cohen didn't orchestrate this whole thing now.

Cohen has been an outstanding witness. All the legit legal experts agree. If you watch MSNBC you will get more accurate reporting.

Big reminder: Michael Cohen is not on trial. Focus is on Trump's crimes. There are many documents in evidence that lead back to Trump as well as other witnesses.

They've collectively poked their turtle heads out of their shells because it's safe. Certainly safer than it was before trial began.

So The Big Mo is on Trump's side and every indicator says so. (I still think a debate under Biden/MFM's rules is a big mistake.)

Or look at China's military presence in the Solomon Islands.

329 @AGHamilton29
So not only did the US get all of our troops kicked out of Niger (& essentially replaced by Russian troops), but apparently we are going to leave behind the base we built AND extensive equipment (cost of hundreds of millions of dollars to US taxpayers).

We're only making plans for Niger.

The Israeli techs who run the weather machine are due for a nice fat bonus check.

This is starting to look like a pattern.

336 I think that what you composed made a great deal of sense.

But, think about this, suppose you added a little content?

I am not saying your information is not solid, but what if you added something to maybe get folk's attention? I mean Soros' Starr Witness Michael Cohen Is Forced
to Admit He Stole Tens of Thousands of Dollarss frrom Trump, Was Never Charged
Update: CNN Admits "This Is Significant" is a little vanilla.
You could peek at Yahoo's front page and see how
they create news titles to get people to click.
You might add a related video orr a related picture or two to get people excited about what you've written.
Just my opinion, it could make your blog a little livelier.
