A. These are legal adults who are saying they can't function when they are menstruating. Normal girls figure out how to deal with stuff within the first few menstrual cycles. Seriously.
B. If they can afford tuition but not tampons, then this is an issue for the school: lower your tuition, incorporate a basic budgeting course into freshman orientation -- there are so many other solutions that are not: buy them stuff so they never figure it out for themselves.
C. The people running this have an acute need to find and fix a problem; this is about their need, not actual students who can't buy their own d@mn tampons.

Not that many years ago, a radio show (mostly comedy) would do a weekly quiz of bands playing in the area that weekend. They'd name three real band names, and one fake one, and have people call in to guess which one was the fake.
Few people would win. The "real" band names were getting really really stupidly strange and creative.

The server was on the fritz the last week or so, one morning your comment might or might not get posted, Pixy at least fixed it temporarily but yesterday on KT's morning thread it went out. Finally got up last evening and this morning Pixy was moving to another server. Well for a bit everyone or almost all were banned. ( maybe those who were up and posting while this was going on and new comments made it) Well that got fixed but everyone had same hash.
Pixy's last message was he thinks where the problem is and can fix it but it was midnight in the land down under so would do it tomorrow which is next week here.

I am consistently told, over and over again, that not enough girls are going into STEM. I’m never told how many are enough, or why this is. I’m sure it’s by the same group of people who would insist things are far worse in terms of race than they ever were in the 1950s.

At any rate, I started reading The Journal of David Q. Little. Yikes! Th very first "footnote" is chilling in light of the New World Order and all that BS. All these political dystopian novels have the same feel to them, but I guess it was always thus. The leftists have been using the same tactics since time immemorial and been after destroying freedom forever. It's obvious to everyone how it all ends, but for some unknown reason, to me at least, there are those who think the dystopia would be a good outcome. Probably because they think they'll be the thought leaders in good standing and not the ones standing against the wall.

Same. What sucks is that bond issue elections in TX oftentimes go up for votes of about 5-6% of the electorate. So that tiny amount votes for the “free money” that will take decades to pay off. But they are starting to get smarter. In nearby Lynn County the hospital district tried “sneaking by” a massive bond issue. Some citizens there waved the BS flag on it, organized, and sent it down to defeat.

It's what they're doing with Prop 13 (property taxes only allowed to increase 1%/year from when you bought the property so Grandma and Grandpa don't get kicked out on the street when their home value increases so much they can't pay the prop tax bill).
So far, all their attempts at rolling back Prop 13 have failed, but they keep trying. One work-around was setting up "special" taxing districts to add additional taxation to properties; it technically didn't violate the rules...

It is only that last part the sisters objected to.
