Sitting on the edge of a waterfall.

Motorcars... swimming pools... swimming pools inside motorcars...

The Hero Edit. Vs. the Asshole Edit.

Manatee and babytee.

Is this real? I don't know. I have doubts. I have doubts. It's funny, though.

Swiss gorge, with stone bridge.

Neat French medieval town.

Flying along a blue ice river.

Down the ice falls.

Gliding into the weekend like a boss.

Jumping into Saturday like a Viking.

Doggo drops a stone at the foot of a statue, then pokes it several times to get it to throw the stone. Sorry, kid, you're going to be waiting a while.

This is a bad view to have: A tornado passes directly over a train in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dolphins have the right attitude about things. To be clear, I don't mean about rape.

13 The Manatee is commonly found in shallow water, at the mouths of rivers, where it feeds upon the marine herbage which there grows in great luxuriance. It has no teeth, but two thick, smooth, hard, unserrated bones run from one side of the mouth to the other.

The tail, which is very fat, is most esteemed. This caudal luxury is generally soused or pickled.

38 Update on my wife:

This was my wife's first outing since she fell and broke 4 ribs. She got around well in a walker, and had a good time.

Want to the Grade school last night to see 46 kindergartners sing and gyrate / gesture to song about going to the Zoo. Cute. Cuteness overlord.

There were 150 people in the gym, sometimes four generations of family watching. Lots of supportive clapping.

They even had a techno song that involved sweeping hand gestures, but no singing.

I was singing the refrain of the Lion Sleeps Tonight when she told me "No singing, Mr. Salty." That echoed my student's requests.

Fun and cute.

Fun wedding story. At sister in law's wedding (my 1st wife)... At the actual Rehersal...

Preacher gets to the the part: "who giveth this woman, etc..."

Father of the Bride stands up, turns to the crowd, and in a SUPERP Auctioneer's voice, starts soliciting bids from the (small crowd) there at the rehearsal.

And of course, four or five smartasses, who had been "briefed", were instantly in on the bidding, upping the ante a few meager bucks at time.

At which time the Father of the Bride barks out.... "Aw, c'mon guys! I'm never gonna pay for this wedding at those prices!!!"

The whole room took over 20 minutes to recover from the laughter!

I've heard one from a good long distance away. This was a massive tornado. But if you ever heard one of those rigid plastic tube things that kids swing around to make a noise, it sounded a bit like that from a distance.

This one was the 90s Andover tornado and I was on the east part of Wichita when it came through. And it wasn't like the one's you see in pictures. It was too big to even visualize its form, just a massive moving wall, like a huge horizontal conveyer belt, filling up the horizon.

Let it go, let me explain the world as I see it. If you need, ask me sometime how I see my faith and my science fit together like a nut inside its shell.

That's the thing about the Incarnation - it's very difficult to parse. And yeesh - all the different debates. John 1:14 certainly seems to say that Jesus was divine, yet at certain points in the Gospels He behaves in a very human fashion: the prayer at Gethsemane, for instance, where He asks to be spared from execution, and that moment on the cross where He cries out asking why God has forsaken Him are the two that come to mind.

But far wiser heads than mine have tackled this question, and I am not in their theological league. I agree with your point about creation - it's something that also comes across quite strongly in God's dialogue with Job, among a number of other passages in scripture.

As far as the "far wiser heads" ? Bullshit. Its all philosophy. And most of philosophy is just like management. The "best of them" tend to really control the room.
