First-World Problems...

1stW chocolate.jpg

What the hell? I open a box of chocolates (Sees Candy) and I see this? What has happened to American pride? What happened to our industrial base that a box of chocolates (dark chocolates with mostly caramels...of course) can slip past supposedly rigorous quality control and reveal a 180 degree catastrophe?

I guess I'll have to return the entire box.

One business that’s apparently popular is on line ED drugs and hair restoration. For those that use those products do not buy from Hims.

The CEO has publicly supported the unhinged Hamas protesters and encouraged them to continue. He has offered jobs to those that have been effected by their protesting.

41 I didn’t know until recently that chocolate chips as a commercial item were only introduced in the forties. I was reading the 1946 edition of Joy of Cooking several weeks ago and ran across:

A specially prepared chocolate may be bought for use in cookies. Any semisweet chocolate may be substituted, cut into pea-sized pieces.

Apparently, when chocolate “chip” cookies initially became popular companies like Nestlé started including a tool to help you turn a bar of chocolate into chipped chocolate. It was so popular that they introduced pre-chipped chocolate in 1941.

The 1946 Joy of Cooking is mostly a reprint of the 1943 edition, with the wartime chapter removed, so chocolate chips were still new when it was written.

Ever see the process to fertilize date palms? Water, being most valuable in the desert, you don't want to grow more male trees than you actually need. They can get the ratio of female to male trees around 50-1, but they physically collect the male pollen, bag the female flowers, and use a puffer to physically blow the pollen right onto the flowers. Very labor intensive, but it works. (And saves water, by not having to support a lot of male trees).

Considering that Hamas is just playing for time now, & hoping that something might turn up (like Mister Micawber), I suspect the Biden regime is running out of patience with them.

For context the ENTIRE state of Illinois only brought in $50.7 Billion in taxes last year.

They also want educators to be trained YEARLY on LGBTQ+ issues (also known as forced indoctrination into the woke cult) AND to have gender neutral bathrooms in schools.

Oh and they want to have a "newcomer liaison" hired at every school for illegal aliens.

Only 21% of 8th grade kids are proficient readers in Chicago and they have the gall to ask for this. Teachers unions might be the most damaging thing to the education of children today. No accountability and no competition breeds failure and entitlement.
